Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16
GW1 is live! What better way to kick off the season than with a lunch time match up with 4th place implications written all over it. United will look to secure an early 3 point advantage over perennial Europa League participators, but non-contenders to win, Spurs. At 3pm we have 4 games on the menu. Recently promoted Bournemouth carry the hopes and dreams of many FPL investors as they take on Sherwood and the Benteke-less eleven. In another game that features a recently promoted side, Watford travel to Goodison Park where Everton will be playing for the only 3 points they stand a chance of winning until Christmas. In an early relegation battle we see the Foxes welcome the Black Kitties from Sunderland. If that wasn’t enough of a preview of the probable bottom of the table this season in the 3pm games, we add the also promoted Canaries to the fray, who play host to the Liverpool dream killers, Crystal Palace. In the last game of the day, Chelsea will look to continue taking the manhood away from Swansea as they look to humiliate the Swans with another pasting similar to those of last season.
On Sunday we have three fixtures. Arsenal will look to impress and have all Gooners excited and proclaiming them Champions after week one. Saints (the Liverpool B team) will travel to Newcastle and hope to make their mother club proud, with an away win. Speaking of mother, Liverpool will travel to Stoke where they look to exorcise their demons and by that I mean the memory of Glen Johnson.
The game-week finishes off with the Baggies looking to stop the vaunted City attack with a taller, wider custom made bus. Can’t wait to see the twitterverse explode about Sterling and proclaim the investment on him a complete failure or success based on one half.

Time for the inevitable points left on the bench thread :-
Adrian 10
Skrtel 7
Targett 1
Deeney 4
Take a bow guys that’s 22 points when my starting 11 only has 25, I could be sacked by GW 2.
OMG..
I thought I had it bad..
Man that’s brutal..!
I’m still on for a decent GW, Sterling (c) to go yet, it’s not as bad as it seems when it’s a low scoring GW
Andy..
I’m not sure Wots worst
Your bench full of points
Or my bench total 2 pts
3 of which didn’t even play?
Hmm, Baker and Hennesey have no chance but I’ve a feeling O’shea might be back in the SAFC line up next week, the Coates – Kaboul experiment failed miserably against Leicester.
Cedric and Westwood only the ones who scored positive points on my bench.
Andy – 18 points with Sterling left to play. Suspended Courtois.
All that matters is that my beloved Reds took 3 points away against Stoke.
I love Coutinho. He is my favourite player. What a magician. <3
Stunning goal in a poor game, I think we’ll see more from pool in their next game.
Pick the bones of this carcass ..
Couldn’t have picked a worst squad of overhyped misfits…
22 f-ing points….yep TWENTY TWO f-ing points..
Jeeeezzzz!
Got an itchy trigger finger for early WC.
Sterling to the rescue tomorrow night mate, you’ll be fine.
No drama. No need to panic. No one has had a good week really.
Complete BS Bigpopz. My best player today was Cedric by the way and he conceded a goal and was subbed after 45 minutes. HAHAHA.
YOu go t a strong squad, keeper issue like 50 percent of the users here. Fabs to Mane and you’re fine. FFS, Mane missed some really big chances, on Dutch media Koeman was complaining about that.
Hope he won’t be rotated since he created those himself.
He could have and should have won the game twice in the last 5 minutes. He won’t lose his spot over that. If anything it makes a more interesting pick because he will deliver this season and if he’d scored he’d have been picked up even more.
Aaah Innit. How are you? You lucky git, I see you got Kaboul coming on for the injured Bellerin. :p
Oooooh yeah baby! 2 players with minus points in the first week! Excellent
Bigpopz – 18 with Sterling left here man.
Just got back in on the rd for 5 hrs nightmare just like the wknd 25 points That’s got to be the worst ever start in FF history some odd results how has everyone else done
Silver
See above.
Would gladly swap your squad for mine BigP
Not to bad actually, 49 points (incl bp today) 17 points on bench and still Kun to play tomorrow.
Oi dude. I have 35 points, and that’s not too bad. YOu’ve got a monster score considering.
Was lucky with Mahrez, consider swapping out Haz for Sanchez
Wow, that idea hadn’t even crossed my mind yet.
Would you guys play Merte/Azpi next GW?
I’m tempted to bench Azpi away at Citeh, get a better idea when we see Citeh in a competitive game tomorrow.
Yeah, on that note. When Chelski seem to suck in the back Mourinho tends to mend that shit. Nobody will get through next week. HAHA!
If anyone was exposed in that game it was Ivanovic, he was terrible.
I think it was more Montero being awesome, can’t think of many defenders who’d of been able to stop him yesterday.
Seems the recipe how to play Ivanovic has been found. Indeed, not many can do that but I think all the topteams have one or 2 players that can do that. I think a lot of gameplans will be changed. Have never seen Ivanovic look that bad and yes it was all Montero. 😉
They reckon in training he gets past the defender 3 out of 4 times in one on ones, he’s on my watch list.
To fund Kun I ”Sterling” will need to make way. Though, at this point it’s not that black and white. If City play good attacking football I might just keep Sterling and Kun and sacrifice someone else. Yesterday Chelsea were really trying to attack and see how much Hazard was involved. I for one didn’t see him. You know he will come good but he excells in the old Mourinho style of play more. A style Mourinho will probably go back to soonish since he doesn’t like to lose points at home.
Don’t fancy either for clean sheet next week. Maybe Merts has more chance of scoring
Odd, today it was Merte who got the almost scoring chances and not Kos. How is that? What changed? Did Kos stay back?
I did not think there is much between them and attacking points. Just that Kos is a much better player
Last season Kos scored 4 goals in 2200 minutes while Merte scored just 1 in 3300?
Ayew and Gomis are also on my list by they way.
Unsure why I put this guy in my team as fifth defender. It’s obvious he’s a troll. HAHAHA!
Do people reckon Jenkinson will get back in the starting line up for next week?
Or is it worth trying to save a million and bringing Oxford in instead?
Owww shite, completely forgot about that. Jenkinson should be a starter if and when fit. Also gotta fear for the Gomez guy at Liverpool. Anyone know if he can keep his place? If that’s the case I’ll just replace Coates with him. 😉
It might be just me but I see Sunderland keeping a clean sheet at home to Norwich. They will be put to make a point after that shambles. O Shea will prob come in for Kaboul like they finished last season. And I can’t see Norwich scoring much away from home
Raz..gomez had a great pre season hence the start he got today and win them the game with his assist I think he will get plenty of game time..did look shaking at times tho
Jenksinson didn’t play against Arsenal because he’s on loan from Arsenal. Reckon he’s the preferred RB.
Got Oxford on my watchlist though. Maybe hear if Bilic says anything in the presser about him starting next match.
Shadow
He would have played today but he was ineligible due to the terms of his loan – i.e. can’t play against Arsenal.
He’ll be back in next week for sure.
Looks like a few of us didn’t do to well any one like the. Look of any one this wknd I thought Swa did very well or was it Che playing so poor might just have to take a hit already start to thk how I can bring Kun in one of my MF needs to go
