Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 36GW1 is live! What better way to kick off the season than with a lunch time match up with 4th place implications written all over it. United will look to secure an early 3 point advantage over perennial Europa League participators, but non-contenders to win, Spurs. At 3pm we have 4 games on the menu. Recently promoted Bournemouth carry the hopes and dreams of many FPL investors as they take on Sherwood and the Benteke-less eleven. In another game that features a recently promoted side, Watford travel to Goodison Park where Everton will be playing for the only 3 points they stand a chance of winning until Christmas. In an early relegation battle we see the Foxes welcome the Black Kitties from Sunderland. If that wasn’t enough of a preview of the probable bottom of the table this season in the 3pm games, we add the also promoted Canaries to the fray, who play host to the Liverpool dream killers, Crystal Palace. In the last game of the day, Chelsea will look to continue taking the manhood away from Swansea as they look to humiliate the Swans with another pasting similar to those of last season.

On Sunday we have three fixtures. Arsenal will look to impress and have all Gooners excited and proclaiming them Champions after week one. Saints (the Liverpool B team) will travel to Newcastle and hope to make their mother club proud, with an away win. Speaking of mother, Liverpool will travel to Stoke where they look to exorcise their demons and by that I mean the memory of Glen Johnson.

The game-week finishes off with the Baggies looking to stop the vaunted City attack with a taller, wider custom made bus. Can’t wait to see the twitterverse explode about Sterling and proclaim the investment on him a complete failure or success based on one half.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the fanteam.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

  1. Hey guys, not a bad week for me 55 points with Sterling still to play. Ime top of the Fantasy 24/7 regulars league and around the top 5k overall so cant complain.

    • Great start that Ant, nice one. Got some prizes for monthly winners for that one that we will announce soon.

      • Thanks mate. Gomez was a great gamble smile.

        • Surprised they kept a clean sheet there I’ll be honest. Never once considered a Liverpool defender because it still looked like comedy capers in pre-season. Only caught glimpses of the game. Did he look the part?

    • Ant

Great start mate and I think you’ll be one of the few to benefit from Oxford today thanks to your bench boost.

      Great shooting

      • Thanks mate. I thought week one could work out great for bench boost as later in the season my bench tends to hold a lot of injurys..

      • Ah ok, wasn’t aware this included a BB. That’s an odd decision this early Ant!

        • It is, but as i said, my bench tends to hold a lot of reds with injurys and suspensions later in the season. It worked out well so ime happy with a good start.

        • Cool, if it worked out then it’s as good a time as any I guess!

        • I feel like a broken record, but irrespective of suspension/injuries wouldn’t the bench boost have been better served in a DGW, Ant?

  2. Not featured test

  3. Owwwwwwwwww shit, dropped 6 places in my private league and now my nemesis is beyond me. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sterling hatty incoming, I hope. sad

Like I hoped Wally, Mane, Cedric, Merte, Benteke to shine today, the 5 of them grabbed me a total of 9 points. HAHA! Pathetic. sad

    • Something rather funny, someone used bench boost and he has a lot of minus points on it. HAHA. laugh

By the way, are we certain they loose those chips for the rest of this season? Or just the first half? Or what? sad

      • We’ve only got one saved chip and that’s the January WC one, for all the others it’s use em and lose em, they are having a teething problem with an app for the bench boost one.

        • Think it’s showing all BB points regardless of if you played it but only on their official App from reading this…

  4. What are the Courtois/Hennessey owners going to do? Use a transfer or go with a non playing keeper?

    • Hoping McCarthy picks up an injury in the week, if not its 10 men i fear. Wondering what the peeps with Cech are gonna do, stick by him i presume.

      • Might be just me but I thought McCarthy may have been at fault for the goal

    • I’m not in any rush to sell Hennessey. Just because McCarthy started gw1 doesn’t mean that he’s nailed on.

      • Shrugs, he did very well. 😉 :p

      • Very unlikely that Hennesey sees any game time though, it’s an awful situation to be in with no GK though, sell Courtois and lose CFC coverage or go with 10 men, I honestly couldn’t choose the right course, terrible luck.

        • Same problem. The 4.5 keeper who rotates with Courtois is Schmeichel, and they’re away to West Ham (I have 0.5 in reserve, for nonsense like this). Still, we were warned about having 15 starters early on…
I wasn’t planning to start Huth, so I won’t gamble 4 points on next week.

  5. How’s this WC team looking..

    Knee jerk or wot..?
Not influenced by this game week wotsoever…lol

    • Think I like it..

    • Targett was at fault for that 2nd goal. Just go Oxford and hope he plays next week or two. Bertrand almost back anyway.

    • Bigpoo,

I’ll tell you what mate. It’s bloody unlucky you didn’t start with that squad, because… now, this’ll be news to you…. those players all did well this weekend!

It’s incredible to think that squad wasn’t influenced by this weekends games. Massive coincidence.

      😉
