Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16
GW1 is live! What better way to kick off the season than with a lunch time match up with 4th place implications written all over it. United will look to secure an early 3 point advantage over perennial Europa League participators, but non-contenders to win, Spurs. At 3pm we have 4 games on the menu. Recently promoted Bournemouth carry the hopes and dreams of many FPL investors as they take on Sherwood and the Benteke-less eleven. In another game that features a recently promoted side, Watford travel to Goodison Park where Everton will be playing for the only 3 points they stand a chance of winning until Christmas. In an early relegation battle we see the Foxes welcome the Black Kitties from Sunderland. If that wasn’t enough of a preview of the probable bottom of the table this season in the 3pm games, we add the also promoted Canaries to the fray, who play host to the Liverpool dream killers, Crystal Palace. In the last game of the day, Chelsea will look to continue taking the manhood away from Swansea as they look to humiliate the Swans with another pasting similar to those of last season.
On Sunday we have three fixtures. Arsenal will look to impress and have all Gooners excited and proclaiming them Champions after week one. Saints (the Liverpool B team) will travel to Newcastle and hope to make their mother club proud, with an away win. Speaking of mother, Liverpool will travel to Stoke where they look to exorcise their demons and by that I mean the memory of Glen Johnson.
The game-week finishes off with the Baggies looking to stop the vaunted City attack with a taller, wider custom made bus. Can’t wait to see the twitterverse explode about Sterling and proclaim the investment on him a complete failure or success based on one half.
Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the fanteam.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

Hey guys.
A reasonable 36 points with Sterling to go for me this week. Pretty certain on saving the FT for later on. Unless you lot think otherwise of course!
I think you’re safe to save it mate. I’d just keep an eye on Ozil if he continues to play like he did yesterday then he’ll have to go in my opinion. Rest looks solid.
cheers mate. Wasn’t impressed by Arsenal’s performance and especially Ozil’s. Hopefully he bounces back against Palace .
Ye he wasn’t on the pitch at all would have been better off staying home. I think the way Palace played though he could find it hard again. Especially if Arsenal don’t improve.
Ozil did look poor yesterday; Ramsey looked quite promising but his ‘shoot on site’ approach my not curry the favour of his manager and with all his other options good miss game time.
may* could* haha
Santi should be moved back to the central midfield (like in pre-season), I think Caz played winger yday?
Was surprised to see Cazorla play on the wing. Now I’m really unsure who will play CM when Sanchez is back. I expect Ox to play on the right though because of him form. Between Cazorla and Ramsey for the CM spot then.
Having a shocker, 29 points, had Hazard as captain, Walcott was benched, Ivanovic didn’t do well but, Rooney got an assist for me and Depay looked to have potential
How about moving Sinclair to the front of the bench?
Cheers Cookie
Old oil and water is back from the rest home
Bloody hell – welcome back for your annual visit!!
Good to see you pal
Wild card time?? Played me three chips already
Good man, in at the deep end, all back to normal!!
so pissed off with my team right now..i know its just the first week to start with but still. sitting at 26 points with silva still to play. planning on keeping the same squad for the next GW. need suggestion on PVA,ivanovic and benteke though. played ivan as he is good at providing assists..same logic goes with van but Sunderland def looks haywire.. had there not been pantilimon for the saves, it couldave been another disaster like against soton last season. also, there’s no one to feed balls to tekkers. any suggestions??
Constantine – be happy, I’m on 22 with no-one left
Doubling up on Sunderland probably looks the bigger faux pas. Keep Benteke for this week and same for Ivan. No point going mad over one gameweek with a bunch of freak results and scorers.
thanks cookie..i know..i guess i’ll get a hammer def against PVA though. tomkins/cresswell may be..
could do well Constantine
Yep, i’d keep them all and reassess after next GW.
yupp NIN..i think so too.. going to stick with my current team for now.. cheers buddy
I got 29, i had Rooney, Hazard(C), Ivanovic, Memphis and Walcott. Very poor!
Bad news for Reece Oxford owners!
Joey Barton having a medical at West Ham this afternoon. If he doesn’t start CDM this game week I’m sure he will in GW3.
Rambo, I would be amazed if Barton kept Oxford out of the line up on a regular basis – he is hugely thought of round there and while they may manage his game time to protect I also think they’ll play him when they can.
Interesting. I’d be more concerned with Joey throwing the boot into young Reece in training…
Does the medical includr a head exam ???
Afternoon all, how goes it? Has the dust settled yet? 😉
Hello there NiN, not really yet but soon very soon
Still uncertain about how to do with the no goalie situation
Haha, give it another day and all will be clear again
If it were me, i would get a playing GK. There are plenty of options available.
Yea im thinking of getting Fabianski and go with a Chelsea defender later
Cant go wrong with him really. Swansea are a good side and he’s good for save points too, usually. No harm in staying away from Chelsea defence for a week or two anyway, for me. Doubtful CS in the next two anyway.
Thoughts on Payet in for Ozil? Free up some Kun funds and also a player who looks on form with decent fixtures.
I personally wouldn’t as its based on one game but if you have no other pressing concerns and want to free up Aguero funds why not.
No other concerns but only Arsenal attacker is the worry!
If he’s your only Arsenal attacker, then no, keep him. Either that or replace him with Ramsey/Cazorla but even that seems dodgy.
Yes only Arsenal attacker so wouldn’t do a side wards swap. Will give it more thought!
