Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16
GW1 is live! What better way to kick off the season than with a lunch time match up with 4th place implications written all over it. United will look to secure an early 3 point advantage over perennial Europa League participators, but non-contenders to win, Spurs. At 3pm we have 4 games on the menu. Recently promoted Bournemouth carry the hopes and dreams of many FPL investors as they take on Sherwood and the Benteke-less eleven. In another game that features a recently promoted side, Watford travel to Goodison Park where Everton will be playing for the only 3 points they stand a chance of winning until Christmas. In an early relegation battle we see the Foxes welcome the Black Kitties from Sunderland. If that wasn’t enough of a preview of the probable bottom of the table this season in the 3pm games, we add the also promoted Canaries to the fray, who play host to the Liverpool dream killers, Crystal Palace. In the last game of the day, Chelsea will look to continue taking the manhood away from Swansea as they look to humiliate the Swans with another pasting similar to those of last season.
On Sunday we have three fixtures. Arsenal will look to impress and have all Gooners excited and proclaiming them Champions after week one. Saints (the Liverpool B team) will travel to Newcastle and hope to make their mother club proud, with an away win. Speaking of mother, Liverpool will travel to Stoke where they look to exorcise their demons and by that I mean the memory of Glen Johnson.
The game-week finishes off with the Baggies looking to stop the vaunted City attack with a taller, wider custom made bus. Can’t wait to see the twitterverse explode about Sterling and proclaim the investment on him a complete failure or success based on one half.

List of players not starting:
Baines
Mings
Distin
Vydra
Ighalo
O’Shea
Naismith
Rose
Jerome
No Jerome!?!? Lucky I got rid of him then
Don’t have any of them
It’s always going to happen with squad sizes nowadays, if you’re ever uncertain make sure your bench players are likely starters, Jerome is probably the most surprising one for me.
Mata yellow, Man Utd fortunate that Spurs haven’t been more precise.
10 from Rooney. Poor captain choice, but a 5 against Spurs is decent.
Smalling with 3 BPs, and Romero is actually a good keeper.
Shaw was on one bonus point too. Looks like Romero took it away though.
I wouldn’t consider Romero until the transfer window closes, if De Gea goes they’ll more than likely look to bring in another GK and if he stays he’ll be back in the team.
Congratulations on 3 points to the Devils. As a Red I would prefer a draw, but I’m fairly happy that there was only 1 goal.
Pretty awful display by United to be honest. One shot on target. Several players with cramp, Mata really can’t play 90 minutes. Darmian has to be fitter. Schweini looked very poor. Only positves were Darmian and Smalling.
And shite, just 1 assist by Rooney. Better than nothing, but f-ing fearing Hazard tonight.
Agreed. In the end I think Spurs winning wouldn’t be an upset according to the game stats. Smalling played a fantastic game though.
Shrek’s voice doesn’t fit his looks. It’s confusing when he talks. Good player though.
He worked hard today, no delivery. Not his fault. Depay behind the striker is just pathetic. Much rather see him play instead of Young, whom was awesome in pre-season but awful today.
Exactly. I agree that Di Maria didn’t play a good season, but van Gaal played him out of position too often. Hopefully for you Devils, Depay gets placed out on the wing asap.
On that note, both Spurs and United were decent at defending today. Made it boring, but they did a good job. In hindsight sad I don’t have Toby. He’s a steal if they keep it like this.
Yeah, he was good today. Might look to get him in soon.
Why not just switch Mata and Depay? Mata is a natural no. 10, Depay is a natural winger. So why is Mata playing on the wing and Depay as no.10???
Because that would make sense 😉
