Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 10 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 10The deadline bell has rung and your decisions are final – starting XI, order of your subs and most importantly your captain has been decided and there ain’t no turning back now…

GW10 begins at 12.45pm on Saturday as Newcastle host Liverpool in the early game.

There are then six 3pm games which feels like a treat for once with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton and Southampton all featuring, and they are in full –

Arsenal vs Burnley
Chelsea vs QPR
Everton vs Swansea
Hull vs Southampton
Leicester vs West Brom
Stoke vs West Ham

Sadly this week there is no Saturday evening game but we get back under way on Sunday with a cracker at 1.30pm with the Manchester derby as City host Utd.

Sundays action concludes with Aston Villa hosting Spurs at 4pm.

Monday evening sees Sunderland go to Crystal Palace at 8pm which may be the most uninspiring of climaxes ever but we don’t set the fixtutre calendar, unfortunately. Yet.

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck for GW9 from all at FF247!

Ok, City won. It’s fair to say United will be the better team ones they get some proper defenders. I mean lol, look at what back they had to deal with this game. Started with:
Valencia – Smalling – Rojo (imho not that good) – Shaw

      After red card:
      Valencia – Carrick – Rojo – Shaw

      After Rojo injury
      Valencia – Carrick – McNair – Shaw

Oi, what a crap defence, can’t tell which one is the worse. :p

He looked like a fish out of water today, was lucky not to give a pen away and missed an absolute sitter of a header put on a plate for him by di maria.Plus there is a vid going round that appears to show him spitting at Aguero in the first half when he went down for that penalty appeal !

Dumb player. Missed two easy headers today. Should have at least equalized for United.

    Mr Bean says:

I can’t handle not having Aguero anymore because he is an incredibly talented player and should’ve had hat tricks in all his last 3 games…so:

    Costa -> Aguero
Sterling -> Eriksen (8.5 mil to spend, see the 4pm game today)

I plan to wildcard over the Into break so I have taken 2 tough fixtures and replaced them with 2 easier fixtures…any other suggestions?

Willing to take a 4pt hit to replace Siggy/Welbeck but no players in that range seem worth it, except downing possibly (never thought I’d say that) 😉

      *International break…

I feel like Raz replying to myself on here, I promise I’m nowhere near that crazy 😉

I think Costa could tear Liverpool a new one. He looked good despite his FPL return.

Why not just wildcard now? I know the break is coming… but it would be crazy to be taking hits just before you hit the button.

      • Mr Bean says:

I have 2 FT so the wildcard seems wasted now…template midfield is going to pieces and I think I need 1 more week to check out Walcott/Hazard etc and I need the 14 days to research fixtures and make a rough plan (very busy this week so I can’t do much)

Injured Costa at Pool, In form Aguero at QPR (haven’t actually been a bad side at home)

Can I afford one more week without Aguero?

        • jamesimmo says:

Fair enough! No, to be honest I don’t think you can, but who knows.

Most will have Agüero captained so if he explodes you’d be in serious trouble.

Think ‘injured Costa’ is clutching at straws a bit, but still, sounds like he might just have to go for this one week. Tough call…

    The B says:

Have seen a full game of United after a long time, and the team is pathetic. Apart from Rojo’s HT tackle and Rooney’s dribble along with DDG’s saves, the game was pretty dull and dumb. All the 10 players of United were in their own zones, and were playing as if it was one man against City.

Any way, around 60 points pre-bonus with Chadli’s brace to go. B)

      Raziel says:

Smalling killed the game. The game would’ve been fun were it not for his stupid red card. Hope LvG takes him out of the squad the next couple of games, 0 football IQ.

If any team is to blame for the pathetic display today it’s Manchester City. Pullig off Mourinho tactics in the second half and acting up like scared little clowns in their own stadium.

      • The B says:

Dont think thats true. City was continuously on the attacking, desperate to find a second to seal the win. I think bringing in Dzeko and Nasri proved that as well.

        • Raziel says:

Unsure what game you’ve been watching. Seriously. What game have you been watching? City were scared and almost did nothing after they scored 1-0. Taking off Kun sort of shows this.

        • Luis Suarez says:

So What? They got the 3 points in the end and that’s all that matters. If they had kept attacking and conceded on the break to United then they would have looked like idiots. What Pellegrini did proved he was right because they won the game.

        • Raziel says:

Shrugs, you have the Swedish coach philosophy. I’m more of the keep attacking and finish them off and not let your opponent (10 f-ing men) get back in the game. All they did with slowing down the game (their own tempo) is let United get back into the game. United had the biggest chances after the 1-0 and City looked terrible. Paid off this time but doesn’t always pay off. Look at Mourinho last week, didn’t pay off then did it?

        • Luis Suarez says:

Lol not Swedish coach philosophy. You’re forgetting I’m a Liverpool fan. Remember last year? Attacking isn’t always the solution, sometimes you have to say enough is enough and take a narrow win. I agree with you attacking is better and nicer to watch but it doesn’t guarantee you the points.

        • Raziel says:

You need to play into your strength and finish your opponents off in their weakness. After they 1-0 they played into United’s cards. Instead of completely finishing off United ”City” were the ones looking scared and making errors. I agree that the game should’ve been decided in the first half. The fact City aren’t capable of destroying a poor defence like Uniteds sort of shows they’re not in form. With these kind of tactics City will never come far in Europe. Also, the 4-4-2 era is over, you’ll be destroyed in Europe playing 4-4-2. The fact that Ronald Koeman is a tactical genius (a luck one at that) in England sort of shows the average football IQ in England is freaking low. They just know how to play the physical game. I rate van Gaal 10 times as high as Koeman and I think United will come good sooner or later. Your team however, I don’t see it improving. Can’t get much worse though, haha. :p

        • Luis Suarez says:

About your Mourinho comment – that’s what he always does and most of the time he gets it right. Look at where Chelsea are in the league. And city were looking scared and did errors because they were playing 4-4-2 so he changed it to 4-5-1. City like you said were not on form so it’s important to do what is needed for the 3pts.

And yeah we’ve been proper shite. I can’t see us getting top four and next week is going to be a nightmare.

        • peakydave says:

I agree with Suarez he took Aguero off at 84 mins that’s hardly a spoiling tactic is it???

      KungFuKingCantona says:

Guess we were not really watching the same game? Playing 10 men at the Etihad I think they did quite OK considering a defence of Valencia, Mc Nair, Carrick and Shaw. Calling the team pathetic is a tad extreme. Sure, work in progress but still. Been reading a bit and the commentaries agree it was an intense match.

      • Raziel says:

I agree Cantona. He obviously doesn’t like United. HAHA. Playing with 10 men against City for more than 1 half and just losing 1-0 and maybe should’ve gotten more out of it considering how they were playing after the got 1 goal behind, is kind of awesome. I say United will surpass City and probably Chelsea if they get some decent defenders. Only one that deserves a spot the upcoming years is Shaw.

        • KungFuKingCantona says:

Well you can hate a team but still be objective. For instance I am not a big Liverpool fan but their game yesterday must have been the poorest PL game to watch this season. Regardless of that, LVG is taking the team in the right direction. Of course it does not translate into points…now…but surely it will?! smile Mmm I donno about Chelsea…because Mourinho has built a fortress and the team is young. They could dominate the next decade. City are getting older so United in a couple of years should be able to call them the noisy neighbours again haha!

        • Raziel says:

United will win the title within 3 years I think. Would be surprised if LvG wouldn’t turn things around once they have decent defenders. On that note, I’m complaining about your defence but in all honesty you haven’t had all defenders fit all season. Not the biggest fan of Jones/Evans but I think if you have 4 defenders playing together for a long period of time they will get better. They haven’t had that chance. Chelsea for instance is playing with the same back 4 week in, week out. Iva-Terry-Cahill-Azpi (now Luis).

        • KungFuKingCantona says:

+1 Raz! Sorry for late reply…was licking my wounds after the defeat! 😛 Chelsea defence is a wall…we need this too!!!

        • jamesimmo says:

The wall must have a lot of cracks in it then. Chelsea have kept the same number of BPL cleansheets as QPR this season!

        • KungFuKingCantona says:

Haha yeah well…in general they are a wall…now a bit of a tender wall! I would prefer as a GK to have Terry, Cahill, Iva, Azpi than Mc nair, Valencia, Carrick, Shaw in front of me! 😛

        • jamesimmo says:

Haha absolutely! I think you did well to only concede one today given the circumstances.

        • KungFuKingCantona says:

Kind of a miracle yeah…in 2 weeks let’s see how we do against you Gunners!! haha…we usually do okay but now with a on fire Sanchez and vengeful Welbeck we never know!! 😉

        • jamesimmo says:

Not gonna lie, that game does worry me! Our track record ain’t great, but as you say, perhaps dat guy will give McNair hell… 😉 sure will be an interesting game!
