Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 15 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15
After a hectic mid-week schedule we are back to the normal weekend action for a few weeks before we hit the ridiculous Christmas pile-up. GW15 begins with a lunchtime game as Newcastle face the unenviable task of welcoming Chelsea before we have five 3pm kick-offs and Saturday is concluded with a cracker as Man City host bitter rivals Everton.

Very simple plan for me. Aguero confirmed out for over 4 weeks. Aguero out, Bony in. Chambers out, Clichy in. Will do it Wednesday night.
TJ perfect plan that mate to get in Bony. but Clichy? not really. i myself have Clichy but the fact to consider is that with Kolarov back there are heavy chances of rotation mate. can you get in Kompany?
Why wait? Prices will change before then.
Hey guys, what do you think of the points potential up unitl the Jan WC of Hazard vs Toure? Yaya has done well the past few weeks and is on penalties, but so is Hazard. I already have Fab and I don’t plan on selling him, and I’m thinking that Costa is just too damn ugly to play in my side. So later this week I was planning on dropping Aguero for Bony and upgrading Boyd to Hazard/Toure for a -4 hit. This would give me a very strong front 8 that could handle any surprise rotation over the Christmas period. Assuming both are fit for the weekend, who do you like in this side better, Yaya or Hazard?

The other option of course is just to do Aguero to Costa with my FT and keep Boyd, but his high ownership, lack of assists, potential for yellow cards, etc makes me want to go with Bony instead and upgrade Boyd. Any thoughts?
I prefer the first option with Bony and Hazard/Yaya for a hit. I think Yaya will end up hauling more points over Christmas than Hazard. Way better fixtures is the main reason I think so. He’s also back in form, like Hazard has been the whole season so far.
Plus when Fabregas is back, you’ll have Chelsea cover again. Without Yaya you’ll be without City cover.
Thanks Cody. Yaya is still very much a differential at this point too, which I like. The only thing is that going without Costa makes me think a double Chelsea midfield might be a good idea. But who knows, by the end of the week the choice could be made for me with injuries, etc. so I’ll sit tight for now and see how things play out. How did you make out this week? One of the craziest weeks I can remember since I started playing FPL!
Yeah, you’ve got a good point there with the lack of Chelsea cover, but I think there are too many things swaying Yaya’s way. I ended with 33 points, 4 players ruled out. Got rid of Aguero for Rooney and Chambers for Coleman. Feeling okay about that solution.
I don’t have Costa either, mainly because I really dislike him as a player. He’s a fantastic finisher, but he’s a horrible dribbler and he’s such a douche on the field, lol.
Red, if I may give my opinion on Yaya. And I should tell you, he worries me right now. My view is that you are not seeing the Yaya of last season, you only have to watch a City game to notice that. When they attack he struggles to get amongst the action and is often 15/20 yards outside the area when the action is taking place inside the area. he doesn’t look fit and I don’t think he looks that interested either. He took a knock vs Everton and struggled through the game, basically cos he had to as Kun had gone off and they needed his presence with Kompany also missing.
Of course, he is on penalties and their fixtures are great, they don’t get any better on a 5-match stretch until he goes to ACON. But, be warned, he is not the marauding midfielder that he was last season – remember that goal he scored vs Villa towards the end of the season when he ran past 4 of them and from halfway? He doesn’t look capable of doing that right now.
If Silva was fit, I would urge you to go with him, but he’s not. Yet.
Personally I think Dzeko or Jovetic are better options, but the penalties may seal it, I understand that.
Having already bought him last week, I won’t be selling him, have other issues to deal with, but i’ll prob get one of their forwards too, in an effort to make hay with their fixtures.

I agree that we haven’t seen the same Yaya as last year, but he is definitely getting there. Silva will never be fpl gold, Dzeko is also not performing like last year or earlier this season and Jovetic has a knock and doesn’t get 90.
I think Yaya is the best City cover for over Christmas. I might even cap him this week.

Thanks so much Cookie!! That’s a brilliant analysis and TBH, Yaya does worry me a bit. He hasn’t been getting forward very much at all, and only scored last match because of the penalty. Whereas Hazard is a maniac and is in and around the box all match. The other benefit or Hazard is that I won’t have to sell him when the ACON begins, so I can keep him as his value continues to rise. Yaya’s appeal (and most City players for that matter) lessens with Aguero out. Thanks again mate, still gonna wait until later in the week to make any moves, but I’m trying to formulate a plan A and plan B now.
