Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 18 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 10GW18 is live! We hope you were happy with your Christmas presents and that the turkey and trimmings went down well but that’s all over now and so back to the serious business of fantasy football! Hopefully your transfers, line-ups and your all important captain selection are all sorted and you didn’t over indulge in the festive period and do anything daft like take a huge hit or indeed just forget altogether! Live Match Chat is your chance to have your say on the line-ups as they are announced, the games as they happen and the fallout afterwards. Boxing Day is indeed a bumper day with all 20 teams playing so no sooner has it begun than it will end and is unique in the season in that respect. We think. Couldn’t be bothered to check! We begin with an early game as Chelsea welcome West Ham. There are then a hectic eight games at 3pm before Arsenal and QPR see us out in the early evening.

    • Second one for me. Kane has shite fixtures.

      That said, having Yaya AND Silva could pay off huge, tough one.

      • Yeah, quite like the idea of both of the city boys, could always bench Kane and go 3-5-2 but benteke has quite good fixtures

        • Just a thought – could drop baines down to someone like Evans at 5.2 then swap siggy to silva and still do giroud to benteke. Thus having the 2 city boys

          Would cost me a -4 though.

  2. 88 points today. Risen 1500 places to 2090. Quite happy. Baines is doing my head in. Still, I might keep him for the next game.

    This is my team. There are a few transfers on my mind, I just have 1 FT though and 1.7m in the bank. Was thinking:
    1. Pants to Hart
    2. Pants to Hart and Bony to Benteke/Jovetic (depending) for a -4
    3. Siggy to Sterling
    4. Siggy to Sterling and Bony to Benteke/Jovetic (depending) for a -4

    • Wait, scrap three. 0.2m short to do SIggy to Sterling. >.< Four is possible though.

      • Siggy and Bony is overkill I reckon. So not #1 for me. Also #3 ain’t posisble as you say, so that’s two options out.

        Can’t you keep Pants and just do Bony —–> Tekkers for free?

    • Also a possibility is (if Kompany returns for the next game), Bony to Rooney and Baines to Kompany for a 4 point hit. >.<

      • Raz,
        I’d go Baines out for Mangala (guaranteed to start, saves you using a transfer on a goalkeeper instead of ditching Baines, and you can always switch to Hart with wc)
        and then Bony to Tekkers or, Rooney/Falcao

    • raz, I would lose baines if I were you and upgrade bony.

      but out of the options you offer – get in hart first.
      he will get at least 4 clean sheets in the next 6 gameweeks

  3. I wildcarded 5 gameweeks ago. My team value just before was 104.9m.

    Since then, after all that time, it’s still not re-grown to that amount. Concerning?

          Man, unbelievable they’re playing again in 2 days. I’m trying to wait with my transfers. I can say I’m quite lucky it all worked out for me in the end. Was crazy stupid to have used my 2 FT’s from last week on Saturday and Monday.

          By the way: I’d do the Bony —–> Tekkers/Jove straight swap.

      This was one of those weeks where people that don’t have that good of a team do well :hippo:
      I got 71 personally so I didn’t do that great compared to others, but it’s just one week out of 36, or something
