Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 19 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15
GW19 is live! We hope you are happy with your transfers, your line-up and your all important captain selection as there’s little else you can do now other than sit back and watch the action unfold. Live Match Chat is your chance to have your say on the line-ups as they are announced, the games as they happen and the fallout afterwards! Unfortunately there are no Saturday games this week so GW19 kicks off with a lunch time match-up between Spurs and Manchester United. The good news with that one is that you will be able to see the line-ups prior to the deadline due to the early 12pm kick off. That is followed by 8 more games on this glorious Sunday. All teams play on 2 days rest except for Liverpool & Swansea who are apparently special this GW. However it must be mentioned that the luck runs out three days later as they pay the price on New Year’s day, while everyone has been resting for an extra day. Can’t wait for the great display of talent that day, tired and hung-over makes for some interesting footy.
Sunday in full…
Spurs v Man Utd 12pm
Southampton v Chelsea 2:05pm
Hull City v Leicester 3pm
Aston Villa v Sunderland 3pm
QPR v Crystal Palace 3pm
Man City v Burnley 3pm
Stoke v West Brom 3pm
West Ham v Arsenal 3pm
Newcastle v Everton 4:15pm
GW19 then concludes on Monday evening…
Liverpool v Swansea 8pm
Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.
Good luck to absolutely everyone for GW19 from all at FF247!

Seeing as how the January WC is now the talk of the town, i thought i would post my latest (90% final) draft. 12 changes in total, from my current squad. I think it’s set up nicely, strong all round with 1.5m left over, for the return on the King. Thoughts? Ta
Seems a bit different than most of the teams, but is definitely attractive. I do think that the defense is a bit expensive, and lack of City cover until Aguero returns might do some damage.
Nin I have also noted that you have stayed loyal to RVP still with his price tag. I chickened out after owning him for just 2 GWs,
I can afford it. I had Silva in all drafts prior to this but without Yaya and Aguero, or at least one of them, he can be left aside i think.
NIN
F-ing luv it chap..
I’m gunna re tweak & Knick some of ur ideas…ta
Your plans for Kun Nin?
1.5m in the kitty. Costa -> Aguero with 1 FT.
It’s been a while since I tried this but what about Sterling over either Cazorla or Eriksen for that extra .1. Im sure Sterlings being used more as a forward now with Sturridges injury and Balotelli being Balotelli. Liverpools next 3 after a early WC look decent and probably more favorable on paper than Arsenals.
Andy – He’s not one i will be buying yet. I’m not sure he’s cut out for the forward role so i think i’ll wait until he has a proper striker to feed off. Then he becomes a great pick again, i think. Skrtel slightly appeals, what with his goal threat, but i cant justify dropping Azpi for him.
I think tonight might change your mind on that NIN but I’ve got Sterling as my cappo for this GW so I’m going to be a little biased on that one.
Having a look at the Burnley defenders and you’ve picked out the most expensive one of the bunch in Trippier at 4.8. Can’t imagine him making your line up on a regular basis so maybe you could save funds in the piggy bank by taking a cheaper option, Duff was an ever present in the line up until his calf injury and he looks likely to return and he’s at 4.0, any other Burnley defender would save the .3 at least over Trippier who has only 1 assist on the season so far so I wouldn’t expect much extra productivity for the extra cash spent on him.
We shall see. Hopefully he does the business for you tonight anyway. A big score from him would really catapult anyone who cappo’d him up the rankings as i would imagine he’s quite a differential pick.
Re Trippier, yeah he is quite expensive for a Burnley defender but i think i’ll roll with him anyway. I think the squad is flexible -personnel & fixture wise- enough that i can field him for most of their good games. It’s punty, no doubt. It’s a big call to play this WC early so i want to be strong everywhere
Mmmm not bad mate. Take it you are prepared to go without Costa?
Mitro – When Sergio returns, yes, i’ll be happy enough to roll without Diego.
Hi NIN, apologies my friend, about 5 hours later than promised but better late than ever I guess! I get the logic behind it all and I’ve no issue with any of it really. Obviously ADM is fitness dependent and Utd have the fixtures to justify him but personally I’d have Silva or Sanchez and have Rooney as Utd cover but get that would mean some major recon. Having said that I’d probably pencil in both Silva and Sanchez ahead of anyone else and work the rest around having those 2. Aguero back would change the Silva priority I guess. Rest of it is cool and will likely change by then anyway as some of the picks are a bit mini-trendy plus we have a few games before it becomes active.
oi oi oi oi!! Good afternoon all, I’m back!
Good Christmas?
Hey Cookie, good to see you buddy. I’ve had a very low key one to be honest mate. How about yourself?
Hi NIN, was at the inlaws. ‘Nuff said!!
:sfan:
Holy smokes, mate, you’ve been hit hard this GW haven’t you? Disaster :shake:
yeah I’ve had a shocker this past month
Early WC, or hold out? As per above, i’m hitting mine straight away. I think i’m on for a 1k finish this time but need to fix my squad sharpish in order to do it.
I was all in favour of leaving it, but I need to act sooner rather than later – am nearly 100pts behind my leader now and not quite sure how it’s happened!
Same here. You’ve been on the receiving end of some bad luck the last month or so. Cant gauge for that shit unfortunately. You’ll be sorted in a few GW’s
Top season for you NIN, that’s great mate, keep it up.
I’ve been contemplating Rooney vs RvP and Alexis vs Cazorla today…not sure I’m any of the wiser!!
Falcao maybe? He looks to be getting some sharpness back, which doesn’t bode well for the rest of the league. He’s well capable of scoring 20+ from now on, once he keeps progressing of course.
Alexis vs Cazorla is a real close one isn’t it? I had my heart set on getting Sanchez back in but Santi is bang in form again. Remember how beastish he was a few years back? Goals and assists all over the shop. I’m going with him to save funds.
Thanks, by the way. Hopefully this WC makes it an even better one. Last seasons Jan WC was a complete disaster for me. Sold Lallana and Gerrard, like an idiot
Nah, don’t think so. My ML leader has him and I need to make up ground. Heavily tempted with RvP and Cazorla – double differential.
Cool. Caz could be a great shout. He’s been wiping the floor with Alexis recently.
need to make up 100pts NIN, have to be different and that 3mln could be useful……
IMO Cazorla’s form won’t last he only scored 4 goals the whole of last season! Sanchez is pure class it’s a non contest.
Smithy, as a direct comparison between players I would agree with you. But it’s one can do with the extra 3mln that makes its an interesting trade. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a “chaser’s” trade – if I had a 100pt lead I probably wouldn’t sell him either.
Cookie, agreed mate. That’s why i’m going with him too. Hopefully it works out and you can eat away at that deficit.
Cookie, it is a punt and I supose Caz will be on pens now since Sanchez’s shocker. Maybe Walcott could get going in the next few weeks.
Hi! Last 6 weeks – Sanchez 36, Cazorla 43. Had Sanchez slotted that pen he’d be on about 44 all things considered and probably on pens going forward but he didn’t and so Cazorla will be until Arteta returns as least. Cazorla’s total includes 2 pens that he wouldn’t have taken if Arteta was playing. Those have obviously boosted his score by 10, plus maybe up to 4/5 extra in bonus points as a result. I guess a lot may then depend on Arteta returning.
I’m not suggesting either is a better choice by the above it’s just a quick analysis. Personally I’d take Sanchez as he’s the top points scorer overall and that’s without having been on pens all season (that little disaster aside). Just my take on it for what it’s worth.
Afternoon Init – thanks for that. Couldn’t agree more but then you also have to factor in what 3mln may have done in addition to Cazorla.
Of course, it could have blown up and been a disaster. Alternatively, it could also have been Silva instead of Siggy.
That’s the gamble I guess and not a trade I am recommending to anyone!
Hi Cookie, feels odd when you call me init! Anyway, yes absolutely agree on the £3m thing and the Siggy/Silva analogy is spot on. Although it’s all hypothetical in the past. If that 3 to you means a second ‘premium’ elsewhere rather than a more hit and hope guy (thinking Rooney v Benteke or similar as a pure eg) then yes it’s definitely worth considering. I’ve not looked at a potential WC team yet so I’m not best placed to comment really. I probably should!
Inlaws? I always figured you were with your outlaws. 😉
😉
Hey Raziel – I think I’ve cursed myself :hippo:
That’s usually what happens when you try to curse others ”Cookie”. 😉
Ok so now it’s “en vogue” to share our potential WC teams,
Here’s mine.
What say you..!
This is basically my WC, almost. I would downgrade the defense even further and accommodate ADM in place of Boyd.
Will probably prefer strikers: Aguero, Austin/Carrol, Kane.
Something like this 😉
maybe something like this…
Interesting that you would choose to bring in Baines once his fixtures get a little tougher and nothing to base the risk on!
I’m sticking faithful though
Yea need a cheaper defernder anyway to get funds to bring in kun
My wc will be late i think, and probably wont look anything like this 😛
Well done to Bundeena Bunnies who have joined the Banterbury Club 100 http://t.co/7JDydVgnud via @banterburyH2H
Hey guys nearly WC time!!
Oh yeah! You playing yours early, mate?
No mate I will be playing late, as I do with my normal WC
Spoil sport
Think I’m set for a late WC? Plan to take my talisman out after Hull game this week
Been climbing the tables lately so can’t really see the point of WCing yet…unless I’ve been getting really lucky??
Oi! It’s way before watershed so you keep your talisman to yourself, ya hear?
Haha Baines captain this week 😉
Really? Mahoosive call, that.
Haha I’m not sure I dare…although Hull couldn’t score at home to Leicester so…
I admire your bravery, should you go for it. Especially given Everton’s form
Not prepared for a 2 point captain though..if I’m lucky! 😉
He who dares, eh? :hippo:
