Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 2 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16
GW2 is live! This time we are treated to a rarity, a Friday night game. As the Villans welcome in the vaunted Man United attack. However the Red Devils will be missing a key player and we will see what LVG does to offset not having Kyle Walker on the pitch.
If a Friday game wasn’t enough, we are handed a lunch time game between Saints and Everton to kick off our Saturday. Hopefully both teams once again entertain us with goals and bad defending. And please bring on Naismith earlier, the non-Everton fans demand it. Our opening fixture is followed by five 3pm games. The Stokies visit Spurs, a meeting of two sides that will feel hard done to have come away with no points in GW1. In other action Sunderland welcome in Norwich, a match that has everyone very (yawn) excited. Newcastle go to Wales for a match-up with a Swans team that took the game to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. We also see Watford watch the Baggies ride their broken down bus in, after suffering a proper beat down at the hands of the Citizens. The Hammers open their doors to a Leicester team that look really menacing on the attack and in the casino. James Vardy and best mate Okazaki will look to continue to strike fear into defences.
On Sunday we have two fixtures. Pardew will look to continue the good times rolling vs an Arsenal side that is 3 points behind their pace from last season. Strange that, considering they have Petr Cech and he should be worth 12-15 points, maybe it was less, not more? Moving on to the game of the week, well on paper at least. As the most impressive side of GW1, Man City, look for a statement of intent win when they face Jose and a Chelsea side that showed some vulnerabilities on defence.
Monday night sees the game-week come to a conclusion. As Bournemouth makes a trip to Merseyside. Will the Belgian beast get any service? Maybe, if he can convince Ritchie to switch sides before the game.
Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the fanteam.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for GW2 from all at FF247!
Well done it, too late now …… I wild carded! They always stress me out anyway about when to use them
In for a penny in for a pound, too late to say don’t do it now, good luck Seren.
Well decided to chase the money for a few weeks to build TV, that tactic worked well for me in my first season ……. only time will tell though …… Could easily be a disaster!
If it helps Nin I’ve pressed the button too !! Not prepared to sit back and watch the form players go up in price and keep racking up points ! Plus taking Courtois out and putting Adrian in didn’t help !!
Whoops I mean Serendipity !!
No worries easy mistake to make
It does make me feel better someone else thinking along the same lines. Tough on your goalie choices – who would have thought it! Who have you gone with goalie wise now? Just so I can avoid them 😉
seren/brooky – Still one click away here, decisions decisions
Have you done it yet?
Not yet, still weighing up the value of it vs using FT’s. It’s looking more and more likely though.
All I can say is everyone using their wildcard now will seriously regret in in 2 months time, that’s a given.
Impossible to tell really, with Aguero and Sanchez looking likely to start this GW I can see this week having a very high rate of WC’s.
Wildcarding is an individual choice mate. I haven’t, but when you see people doing it, especially the likes of Mat Martyniak, the 2012/13 fpl champion doing it after gw1..it does make my mind tick a little. Building tv is very important and with the likes of Mahrez, Ayew, Gomis etc having another good gw, they are only going to keep rising! We now get 2 w’s and one must go before new year.
Serin, best of luck! 😉
I’m keeping mine a little longer though
Thanks B-Bash. Good luck to you too
Used mine in GW2 in 2013/2014 season and ended 402nd ….. So no given about it. It’s risky though I give you that but you know fortune favours the brave and all that 😉
serendipity – when u did it early in 2013/14, what was the reasoning behind it?
Purely chasing the money. I had a bad 1st week team selection and my research led me to believe that building TV early in the season was beneficial …. I found it was. 2nd half of that season I had about £10m up on a lot of others in my leagues. Of course I had good luck that season too .
good moves.
good luck with the wc.
What if it’s necessary?
I think individual teams circumstances have to play (injuries, form etc). I also think sometimes you just “have to” as well and thats fine too.
Yep, agreed. I think i’m in the “have to” bracket. Punts haven’t worked and i’m doubled on Sunderland & Southampton (which includes Caulker).
You’re too emotional NiN. You’re on 54 points, Wildcarding now is crazy. But whatever. :p
I”m on 48 points and today I got myself a big haul of 10 points from 6, instead of your 28. Shrugs.
I bet I don’t !! 😉 No value now to clinging on to your first wildcard for dear life, now they have altered when you can use them.If I’m doing Shit I’d rather be proactive !
If they only just WC’d and take a grab bag of whoever scored highest GW1+Gw2, with various +0.1s to pay, you are probably right.
On the other hand if they planned to WC from the start, as well as choosing Wk1 team purely for that week, they could now have a form team priced at 100.8m that includes Silva & Sanchez with itb & 1FT to add in any 1 of Benteke, Agureo, Yaya, Hazard, or no one as seems best Monday.
Less likely to regret that I am thinking.
Payet & Mahrez rising tomorrow, Gomis tonight
Dreamers – what site are you using – is Aguero rising or Rooney falling?
using fantasy football fix James.
Its 95% + accuracy at the mo – not much price changes so far I know.
Rooney is falling and Aguero rising but at a slow pace – nothing within 2 days atm.
Aguero doing well would change that I guess.
On fantasy football fix it says aguero rise in 2days (+28%), Rooney fall in 2 day (-0.3%). Looks safe for tonight.
Cheers guys. 95% is great given how early in the season we are. Think ima just leave my team and go into town tonight!
Cheers dreamers…… Well if Im gonna do the gomis plus aguero move for roo and kane then its now or rethink!
Good info mate
Ok so just been seeing what I could with 3 transfers this week obviously taking a 4pt hit.
Rooney, Ramsey & Wanyama out
Aguero, Mahrez and redmond/hoolahan in?
Worth it or should I look at WC?
I would maybe do the aguero mahrez move and keep wanyama an extra week
I have made mistakes with taking hits in the past and am trying to be a bit more disciplined! Going for the save a transfer make 2 route when possible…. Barring emergency moves / injuries
Is anyone thinking about just bringing in Gomis over Aguero?
Maybe alongside, certainly not in place of.
No I’ve brought them both in ! 😉
I feel lost, alone in this world. Seems I”m one of the few not using WC right now. Should I? I have 2 FT’s. Oooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh cruel world, why are you so mean to me? Here is my team.
Yeah I’d Wildcard that :p
Really? I don’t fing know anymore. Everyone on ff247 is going crazy.
No.
Raz, wildcard not needed. 2ft’s and a little normality from the big guns and your sorted!
Which players to be sorted then?
I’ve got a similar team, gone Benteke -> Gomis and Sterling ->Payet which frees up money for Aguero
I can do one better but it would be for a hit.
Sterling to Albrighton, Defoe to Gomis and Rooney to Kun.
I’d watch Walcott first, maybe if Wenger is still messing him around swap him instead of Sterling. Nearly identical team to mine and if Walcott doesnt start Im taking him, Rooney for Albrighton and Aguero. Id wildcarding once the transfer window closes, worked last year when Di Maria came because he started well but not many could afford him that had already wildcarded. Hoping for Benzema haha
Raz- Fantasy football fix predict Albrighton & Gomes to rise tonight, incase that alters any of your plans.
Raz,
Your first issue are the three ugly sisters in defence (Cedric, Coates and Taylor). Sell one of them for a decent 4.5 (Huth, Nyom, Norwich CB).
Bank the second FT and bench the other two defenders + Defoe.
…assuming Wally shows up tomorrow!
Tnx peeps. Definitely not taking a hit. We’ll see what happens. Let players rise and drop, irrelevant. Also other stuff on my mind so the upcoming days ff will be secondary.
