Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 2 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 36GW2 is live! This time we are treated to a rarity, a Friday night game. As the Villans welcome in the vaunted Man United attack. However the Red Devils will be missing a key player and we will see what LVG does to offset not having Kyle Walker on the pitch.

If a Friday game wasn’t enough, we are handed a lunch time game between Saints and Everton to kick off our Saturday. Hopefully both teams once again entertain us with goals and bad defending. And please bring on Naismith earlier, the non-Everton fans demand it. Our opening fixture is followed by five 3pm games. The Stokies visit Spurs, a meeting of two sides that will feel hard done to have come away with no points in GW1. In other action Sunderland welcome in Norwich, a match that has everyone very (yawn) excited. Newcastle go to Wales for a match-up with a Swans team that took the game to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. We also see Watford watch the Baggies ride their broken down bus in, after suffering a proper beat down at the hands of the Citizens. The Hammers open their doors to a Leicester team that look really menacing on the attack and in the casino. James Vardy and best mate Okazaki will look to continue to strike fear into defences.

On Sunday we have two fixtures. Pardew will look to continue the good times rolling vs an Arsenal side that is 3 points behind their pace from last season. Strange that, considering they have Petr Cech and he should be worth 12-15 points, maybe it was less, not more? Moving on to the game of the week, well on paper at least. As the most impressive side of GW1, Man City, look for a statement of intent win when they face Jose and a Chelsea side that showed some vulnerabilities on defence.

Monday night sees the game-week come to a conclusion. As Bournemouth makes a trip to Merseyside. Will the Belgian beast get any service? Maybe, if he can convince Ritchie to switch sides before the game.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the fanteam.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

The Friday Surprise…

Aston Villa v Man Utd. 7:45pm

Saturday in full…

Southampton v Everton 12:45pm

Spurs v Stoke 3pm

Swans v Newcastle 3pm

Watford v West Brom 3pm

Ok. So a terrible start to the season. I’m actually sitting last in my mini league. I still think that my team is strong and this is just slow start, so I’m not jumping to use my wildcard just yet (see below).

My Idea was to bring Kun in for Rooney this week by downgrading Sterling to a 6.5, but I’m having 2nd thoughts because of Rooney’s home fixture to Newcastle and will do it for GW4. However, because I didn’t use my FT last week I don’t want to just waste 1 so I’m looking at downgrading sterling and running with no City coverage for GW3.

So who do I look at bringing in? After having a look at FFF price predictions it looks like Mahrez will be going up in a couple of days and with good form and OK fixtures over the next few weeks, he might be the way to go. But I saw that Payet should be going up in price today.

If I bring Payet in for the price rise and then swap him for Mahrez as soon as his price goes up, I should be able to make .2 mill and be able to bring Kun in for Rooney ready for GW4. However, this would mean making FTs early in the week, which I’m not fond of and only having 1 FT after GW4. I could of course WC here though and reshuffle.

What are peoples’ thoughts on this?
Is .2 mill really worth the risk?
    Thoughts on my team?
Any ideas would be much appreciated?

      EBC says:

You won’t make 0.2, you only get to keep have the increase in value when you sell. So you need Payet to go up 0.2 to bank the 0.1.

You buy at 7.5, sell at 7.6 (you get 7.5), sell at 7.7 (you get 7.6).

      • ohyesali says:

hmmmmm really? So selling a player that’s gone up in price by .1 only gets you his original price?

Well I guess that’s my plan out the window

        • Yeah mate. You need a player to go up.2 to get .1 on the sale. Also note that if they go up .3 that is still .1 they would have to go up .4 for you to get .2

When they go down however you lose exactly what is says. So if they go down .1 that is what you lose when you sell them.

        • Andy says:

Another little tit bit to that is that if you sign a player for 9 and he drops to 8.9 for a bit and then bounces back up to 9 you can still sell him for 9, you don’t have to wait for the extra .2 increase.

          Ok Thanks guys

Hi all Currently sitting 5th in my little league as i’ve seen a lot of others people are not having the greatest of starts. I’m quite happy with mine with this being my first time trying. I have 2 free transfers and was wondering if anyone has any tips on who to bring in/take out. Hopefully Southampton can find some of last seasons good form.

    • 164.1

@Rogueblood, I would preach patience. Let’s see what happens in the last two days of the GW. On paper you have a solid team so it’s hard to say, but if you wait until the GW ends your transfers might reveal themselves. I would see how your remaining players play and see if Kun seems viable after today. If he does than it will be decision time on which mid to downgrade and which forward to upgrade.

Hi Rogueblood – Your team is looking nice! Good to see that you have your captain still to play. Hopefully he can get you a monster score! smile

I think it’s a little too early to say which players you should take out, but I’d be looking to bring one of the form players in. Mainly Ayew or Payet.

So… my team value is now 99.9m thanks to Walcott. This has never happened to me before. Same for most I’d imagine? It’s ridiculous aha!

I’m currently sitting on the thought of keeping my 1FT this week. The alternative is to transfer Depay out for one of the form players – A. Ayew, Yaya, Payet, Mahrez etc..

Obviously have to wait and see what happens today and tomorrow night, but what do you guys think? smile

@Ruben on “normal” condition, your team looks perfect. Maybe put some in form player in like Ayew, Gomis or Mahrez.

They have reasonable fixtures, I’ll get Mahrez before his price rise tomorrow probably.

      Cheers. laugh

      • Ruben says:

ichalviking – Thanks man! Yeah Ayew is first on my list. I’ll stay put and see what happens first though. smile

Nice avatar btw! I visited Camp Nou last year. Apparently they’re remodeling it, so I’ll have to go back and visit again.

        Cheers

        • ichalviking says:

          I can’t afford Ayew.
Maybe take a point hit then shuffle a bit, we’ll see…

I will go back again to Camp Nou, dunno yet when laugh

None of my players have scored a goal yet, and that includes last GW aswell. :say-what:

I think that’s an achievement and deserves a standing ovation.
