Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 2 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 36GW2 is live! This time we are treated to a rarity, a Friday night game. As the Villans welcome in the vaunted Man United attack. However the Red Devils will be missing a key player and we will see what LVG does to offset not having Kyle Walker on the pitch.

If a Friday game wasn’t enough, we are handed a lunch time game between Saints and Everton to kick off our Saturday. Hopefully both teams once again entertain us with goals and bad defending. And please bring on Naismith earlier, the non-Everton fans demand it. Our opening fixture is followed by five 3pm games. The Stokies visit Spurs, a meeting of two sides that will feel hard done to have come away with no points in GW1. In other action Sunderland welcome in Norwich, a match that has everyone very (yawn) excited. Newcastle go to Wales for a match-up with a Swans team that took the game to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. We also see Watford watch the Baggies ride their broken down bus in, after suffering a proper beat down at the hands of the Citizens. The Hammers open their doors to a Leicester team that look really menacing on the attack and in the casino. James Vardy and best mate Okazaki will look to continue to strike fear into defences.

On Sunday we have two fixtures. Pardew will look to continue the good times rolling vs an Arsenal side that is 3 points behind their pace from last season. Strange that, considering they have Petr Cech and he should be worth 12-15 points, maybe it was less, not more? Moving on to the game of the week, well on paper at least. As the most impressive side of GW1, Man City, look for a statement of intent win when they face Jose and a Chelsea side that showed some vulnerabilities on defence.

Monday night sees the game-week come to a conclusion. As Bournemouth makes a trip to Merseyside. Will the Belgian beast get any service? Maybe, if he can convince Ritchie to switch sides before the game.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the fanteam.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

The Friday Surprise…

Aston Villa v Man Utd. 7:45pm

Saturday in full…

Southampton v Everton 12:45pm

Spurs v Stoke 3pm

Wow, Barcelona are getting hammered here!

      Raziel says:

Well, that’s always a good thing. But what do you expect? When you play Vermaelen. :p

By the way, what did you think of Blinds performance tonight? I actually think he looks more solid than Rojo.

      • NIN says:

He always plays well for us, class signing.

        • Raziel says:

In all honesty, I never really rated him (and probably never will) as a top player. However, he can play several roles. Last season he was one of the better players, which actually says a lot about United. I didn’t think he could hold his own in the defence, but he can. Real tests are still to come though but he did better than expected. Smalling and Blind both looked solid tonight. Darmian had a much harder time today.

        • NIN says:

He’s a lot better than you give him credit for. Playing multiple positions is one thing but, to play them all at the same level takes real class and ability. Easily one of the better Dutch players out there.

        • Raziel says:

He understands the game very well, I think he’ll be a better coach/manager than his dad. He will become that, for sure.

Even though you are right about that, that’s also his main problem. The fact you can use him anywhere means no spot will be his preferred position. So there will always be better players for that position and already people demanding Blind to be replaced, reporters joking about him and so on. Think one or two errors and the shit gonna go mad. 😉

      • Calvin Clyne says:

We just signed Rojo off the back of World Cup hype, never really made sense as a signing to me. Not a bad player at all, but Shaw should be starting on the left and I’d never want Rojo in the middle.

    MattX says:

Guys what do you think about Walcott out for Shaqiri?? I had a look at the Stoke fixtures and they are fairly good. Also could do Wally to Payet??

    • 21.1
      inittowinit says:

See how Wally fares this weekend. A good performance and the odd goal and he should keep that spot up top assuming he gets it ahead of Giroud for this one. Which he either will or he’ll start regardless you’d imagine.

      Raziel says:

Wouldn’t touch Shaqiri just yet. No match fitness right? Also, he sort of sucked really bad @ Bayern and did nothing much at Inter Milan. Dangerous buy.

      • MattX says:

Really I didn’t hear that. I thought he did well at Bayern whenever he played. Didn’t think he did well in Inter though.

        • Raziel says:

At Bayern he simply wasn’t good enough, that’s what Bayern fans told me. Why you think he went from Bayern to Inter to Stoke anyway? He failed at the 2 other clubs. Same for Afellay (with him it was mostly injuries though). And Bojan is maybe the best example, he failed everywhere and finally found Stoke. Even forgot about Arnautovic, also failed at most clubs he was at. HAHHA! Stoke, such an odd team. laugh

Well, they’re trying. If one of those failures does come close to what was once expected of them (years back), they can be awesome.

        • NIN says:

Raz, i really think you need to do some research before turning people away from good players with these comments. You’re way off the mark mate, way off. The Affellay comparison is laughable.

        • MattX says:

Ye I don’t really agree with you Raz but ill keep an eye on him, think he will do a great job for Stoke.

        • Raziel says:

I don’t think so, but whatever. There are all players once playing for topteams and also players that never really made it. Afellay is shit now but was once a very promising football player, same for Arnautovic and Bojan.

Shaq might not be there quite yet, but don’t turn him into something he’s not. He’s young, so maybe he can get his act together. Anyway, was a good reason why he was 2nd/3rd choice at Bayern, good reason why he was 2nd choice at Inter and there is a very good reason why he’s now playing for Stoke.

        • Raziel says:

By the way, not saying they are really shit. Was sort of harsh. But they’re not as good as they are made out to believe, once were believed to be or what they themselves believe to be. Their ego’s are way too big. Anyway, out of those 4, Shaqiri is probably the only one that can still come good.

        • NIN says:

Of course there was good reason he was 2nd/3rd choice at Bayern, he was competing with Ribery, Robben, Muller, Gotze etc etc. You expect a 22 year old kid to put up against that level of talent? Come on mate, get the boat.

        • Raziel says:

Anyway, before I piss off more people. I’ll try to rephrase it. English not my native language so I have an excuse. NO BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :big-lol:

          First see, then believe. 😉

        • MattX says:

Ye I get you in the way I think Shaqiri will come good at Stoke even if it’s just that the lesser quality of player around him will make him look better anyway.

        • NIN says:

Who’s pissed off? Not me anyway, just firmly disagreeing and pointing things out.

        • MattX says:

Ye not pissed off either mate your all good. smile

        • EBC says:

Shaqiri is older than Gotze but your point is still valid, being 2nd choice to them doesn’t confirm whether you’re good or bad.

        • Raziel says:

I’d be better if yall were pissed, at least than I’d be doing something right.

Anyway, I live near the border of Germany and I heard a lot of complaints about his attitude and stuff from Bayern fans. I just see the players I mentioned have a lot in common. Positive not for Shaqiri is that he’s still young, he can still change. Having a wrong/bad attitude when it comes to the game has killed a lot careers. We’ll see what happens with Shaq.

        • inittowinit says:

Either way he’s got lovely thighs laugh

        • Calvin Clyne says:

And that’s coming from a chicken folks.

    Raziel says:

Hey guys, this is my team for the GW3. Should I make any changes? I have 2 FTs. I see that Wally will drop tonight, should I replace him tonight?

  5. 23
    MadHatter says:

Shaq not playing anyway 1 match ban from previous league

  6. 24
    Ruben says:

Wayne Rooney hasn’t scored away from home since he scored at the Emirates in November of 2014.
