Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 2 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 36GW2 is live! This time we are treated to a rarity, a Friday night game. As the Villans welcome in the vaunted Man United attack. However the Red Devils will be missing a key player and we will see what LVG does to offset not having Kyle Walker on the pitch.

If a Friday game wasn’t enough, we are handed a lunch time game between Saints and Everton to kick off our Saturday. Hopefully both teams once again entertain us with goals and bad defending. And please bring on Naismith earlier, the non-Everton fans demand it. Our opening fixture is followed by five 3pm games. The Stokies visit Spurs, a meeting of two sides that will feel hard done to have come away with no points in GW1. In other action Sunderland welcome in Norwich, a match that has everyone very (yawn) excited. Newcastle go to Wales for a match-up with a Swans team that took the game to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. We also see Watford watch the Baggies ride their broken down bus in, after suffering a proper beat down at the hands of the Citizens. The Hammers open their doors to a Leicester team that look really menacing on the attack and in the casino. James Vardy and best mate Okazaki will look to continue to strike fear into defences.

On Sunday we have two fixtures. Pardew will look to continue the good times rolling vs an Arsenal side that is 3 points behind their pace from last season. Strange that, considering they have Petr Cech and he should be worth 12-15 points, maybe it was less, not more? Moving on to the game of the week, well on paper at least. As the most impressive side of GW1, Man City, look for a statement of intent win when they face Jose and a Chelsea side that showed some vulnerabilities on defence.

Monday night sees the game-week come to a conclusion. As Bournemouth makes a trip to Merseyside. Will the Belgian beast get any service? Maybe, if he can convince Ritchie to switch sides before the game.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the fanteam.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

How does this team look? Would be taking out Rooney, Pelle and Cabaye!

    Have 6.5m for a midfielder, should I get Mahrez/ Montero/ Shelvey/ someone else? Current team below;

    Schemiechel, Butland
    Ivanovic, Cedric, Mertesacker, Coates, Oxford
    Hazard, Henderson, Wanyama, Ritchie,
    Pelle, Aguero, Benteke

    Thanks.

Worth a 4pt hit to do Rooney, Hazard and Iva out.

    Aguero, Ayew and Kolarov in.

Would leave me with no Chelsea coverage though.

Not sure about getting rid of Hazard tbf.

Hi Shadow, I’m contemplating something similar. I’m getting rid of Rooney for Aguero but going to stick with Hazard for a few more game weeks to see if he improves.. If not, I’ll bring in Sanchez I think.

    Tekno-kun says:

“We dominated and when they feel they are in trouble, and they felt, they changed Aguero and Sterling. They try to recover control of the game exactly when they scored the second goal.

“Their goalkeeper was good and we couldn’t score. They were only coming up with long balls. Not one single problem in the second half; they had lots.”

Anyone agree with Mourinho on this? :big-lol:

So guys, this is my team for GW 3. No point in not posting it. I know there are a few doubts out there such as Defoe. Rest is fine with me though (apart from the bench, STaylor getting minutes was good). Anyway, watcha guys think? I’ll use my wildcard for when it is really needed.

A little impressed with myself after holding off the WC buzzer. But is it really worth it? At any one GW I foresee losing ground to these Kompany triple captaining geniuses. Some have even used all 3 rings by now. Their teams WILL be better than mine and will score more and they are more likely to escape the wicked price falls and rises that are about to start in 2 hrs time. Got 2 FTs on me nothing ITB and 2 hours to go… I can only get 2 of Mahrez, Payet and Aguero. Opinions please

      Raziel says:

Look up. I did Rooney to Kun and Walcott to Mahrez. Still quite happy with that team and almost the same team scored me 16 points this GW (with Bentekers still to play, my cap).

      • RedPaddy says:

Thanks Raz. I actually have similar personnel and will happily get rid of Roo and Wally. But this week alone other prices, both in my team (price drop eg. Mane) and in the market (price rise eg yaya, payet, kompany etc) will all affect my team and plans. What to do to counter this without WC

        • Raziel says:

I trust in players like Mane and even Sterling (even though he’s not as involved as Yaya/Silva/Kun, mainly because he’s not playing as central as them). However, I think Sterling will come good and Mane will come good for sure. People dropping Mane will do so just looking at FPL score/assist stats, I try to keep in mind he could be on 30 points right now (with a bit more luck). With Mane it’s a question of when. In the last game for instance Mane freaking owned Pelle.

      • RedPaddy says:

Again many thanks Raz. Thats the other thing I realise…I do not watch enough of these games for sure. I just cherry pick based on the teams I like, watch the ones that are convenient for me and highlight the rest of em. Best case scenario 3 full matches watched per gameweek. Very raggety for decision making. So many variables to truly succeed in FPL. Its beautiful. Raz thanks…will keep an iron grip on Mane…I know he’ll claw back.
