Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 2 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 36GW2 is live! This time we are treated to a rarity, a Friday night game. As the Villans welcome in the vaunted Man United attack. However the Red Devils will be missing a key player and we will see what LVG does to offset not having Kyle Walker on the pitch.

If a Friday game wasn’t enough, we are handed a lunch time game between Saints and Everton to kick off our Saturday. Hopefully both teams once again entertain us with goals and bad defending. And please bring on Naismith earlier, the non-Everton fans demand it. Our opening fixture is followed by five 3pm games. The Stokies visit Spurs, a meeting of two sides that will feel hard done to have come away with no points in GW1. In other action Sunderland welcome in Norwich, a match that has everyone very (yawn) excited. Newcastle go to Wales for a match-up with a Swans team that took the game to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. We also see Watford watch the Baggies ride their broken down bus in, after suffering a proper beat down at the hands of the Citizens. The Hammers open their doors to a Leicester team that look really menacing on the attack and in the casino. James Vardy and best mate Okazaki will look to continue to strike fear into defences.

On Sunday we have two fixtures. Pardew will look to continue the good times rolling vs an Arsenal side that is 3 points behind their pace from last season. Strange that, considering they have Petr Cech and he should be worth 12-15 points, maybe it was less, not more? Moving on to the game of the week, well on paper at least. As the most impressive side of GW1, Man City, look for a statement of intent win when they face Jose and a Chelsea side that showed some vulnerabilities on defence.

Monday night sees the game-week come to a conclusion. As Bournemouth makes a trip to Merseyside. Will the Belgian beast get any service? Maybe, if he can convince Ritchie to switch sides before the game.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the fanteam.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

Just made my first moves of the season. Shame to be forced into 2 FTs this early. Players are dropping far too quickly and readily for my liking… keeping a 100.0m team value could be the aim this time around!

How accurate is fantasy football fix for price changes does anyone know?

Thought Rooney would be closer to the drop than what he is.

Sod it. Done Iva, Hazard & Rooney out for Aguero, Silva and Smalling.

Got 3 city attack but their looking impressive so far.

Feel uneasy on the Hazard move but see how it goes!

Massive overreaction regarding Rooney IMO, mostly down to the fact people are justifying finding the cash for Aguero. Yeah United aren’t playing to expansive but i can see them giving a few teams a beating this season, maybe not Newcastle but soon enough. If you look at the goal they scored against Villa he was right there for a the rebound off the post if it didn’t go in!

Are you able to give evidence of why you think they will give some teams a beating this season? We’ve had 3 shots on target in 2 games. And it’s not like the last two teams are known for their defensive stability either. Rooney has looked lazy, slow, and he’s never near the goal. Always dropping deep to get the ball and he doesn’t look like he wants to score. That’s why I’m selling Rooney now and if/when he gets his act together, I might bring him in. But Aguero has looked good in one game and looks like he could get a few goals every week.

Josh721 … I’d agree that Rooney has looked about as sharp as a bowling ball in these early games, but I’m willing to give him another week (maybe!).

But … you can’t have it both ways … “Always dropping deep to get the ball” isn’t usually the sign of a “lazy” striker :goombah:

One – You have a solid base to build on, midfield more than defence in my opinion and players who can open up a defence with one pass, predominately Mata.
Two – Your possession based style under LVG will wear down and tire some teams in the league especially out of from sides e.g. Sunderland at the the moment.
Three – Rooney – We are talking about a 29 year old current International here who has been lauded for his ‘engine’ for his whole career. Also a guy who hit 12 goals from a deep midfield position last year. Granted he needs the service which hasn’t materialised yet but if he does he’ll finish.

Do you honestly think United won’t fire 3 or 4 past a few teams this season?
