Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 2 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 36GW2 is live! This time we are treated to a rarity, a Friday night game. As the Villans welcome in the vaunted Man United attack. However the Red Devils will be missing a key player and we will see what LVG does to offset not having Kyle Walker on the pitch.

If a Friday game wasn’t enough, we are handed a lunch time game between Saints and Everton to kick off our Saturday. Hopefully both teams once again entertain us with goals and bad defending. And please bring on Naismith earlier, the non-Everton fans demand it. Our opening fixture is followed by five 3pm games. The Stokies visit Spurs, a meeting of two sides that will feel hard done to have come away with no points in GW1. In other action Sunderland welcome in Norwich, a match that has everyone very (yawn) excited. Newcastle go to Wales for a match-up with a Swans team that took the game to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. We also see Watford watch the Baggies ride their broken down bus in, after suffering a proper beat down at the hands of the Citizens. The Hammers open their doors to a Leicester team that look really menacing on the attack and in the casino. James Vardy and best mate Okazaki will look to continue to strike fear into defences.

On Sunday we have two fixtures. Pardew will look to continue the good times rolling vs an Arsenal side that is 3 points behind their pace from last season. Strange that, considering they have Petr Cech and he should be worth 12-15 points, maybe it was less, not more? Moving on to the game of the week, well on paper at least. As the most impressive side of GW1, Man City, look for a statement of intent win when they face Jose and a Chelsea side that showed some vulnerabilities on defence.

Monday night sees the game-week come to a conclusion. As Bournemouth makes a trip to Merseyside. Will the Belgian beast get any service? Maybe, if he can convince Ritchie to switch sides before the game.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the fanteam.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

The Friday Surprise…

Aston Villa v Man Utd. 7:45pm

Saturday in full…

Southampton v Everton 12:45pm

Spurs v Stoke 3pm

Sunderland v Norwich 3pm

Swans v Newcastle 3pm

Watford v West Brom 3pm

West Ham v Leicester 3pm

Sunday sees two fixtures…

Crystal Palace v Arsenal 1:30pm

Man City v Chelsea 4pm

Monday also has a fixture…

Liverpool v Bournemouth 8pm

    Hey guys.

I now have 0FT and 0.8mil itb after doing Fab and Rooney -> Aguero and Mahrez.

Now the question is, should I now WC? There seems to be a lot of action going on in the transfer market and I’m wondering how much coin could be made this week? A mil perhaps if we’re lucky? I’m also really disappointed with the performances of my team. Thoughts?

      Nosaj says:

My WC team would be something along these lines…… 0mil itb

      • 1 of 7 says:

Nosaj, As my previous post, I feel now is a good time to WC and build TV.Alot of the big guns are not in form yet, apart from city and you can build team value now from form players and bring in the big players when they hit form with your higher TV.this could give you an advantage this year.On your WC team I wouldn’t double up on Norwich def.

        • Nosaj says:

Okay, I’ve been convinced, I’m pressing the button! And yeah, I agree with you about not having double Norwich down back, thanks for helping

    Hey guys,
like many I’ve had a poor start to the season my WC is looking tempting already
I’d like to get silva in my team, bin off schniederlin and coates
I’ve got doubts about haz / sterling /caz and rooney (although he normally goes well against Newcastle)
What should I do with this lot?

    Stekelenburg / schwarzer
    Huth / cedric / coates / gomez / oxford
    Haz / sterling / caz / schneiderlin / anya
    Aguero / rooney / defoe

    1ft 0.5m itb

    Thanks

      1 of 7 says:

Hi Photek, Maybe Sterling to silva and Schneidlin to a 5m mid, Maybe hope Sinclair hits form at villa, Hard to find value at 5.0m, Ibe a possibility But not a guaranteed starter.

      • photek says:

        Thanks 1 of 7.
Do you think its worth holding onto Haz for now?
        I could even downgrade Cazola.
Not sure which way to go if i’m honest.

        • SwissChocks says:

I am photek. Isn’t there something about him needing 3 games to get into his stride. I also have Cazorla for pens and his consistency….though I’m worried about him consistently not doing very much. Wondering how to get Sanchez in….Cazorla would have to go in that case.

        • 1 of 7 says:

Haz is a tough one, Player of his quality can hit form anytime, Last year he only got 1 goal and 2 assists from the 1st six games though, He might be a slow starter. With your team Haz- Silva means triple city, Gives you scope to bring in maybe Payet for Schneidlin. Maybe you could change sterling if he doesn’t come good in the next couple of weeks.

        • photek says:

I know what you mean Swiss.
For all Caz’s good pre-season and decent play this isn’t translating to fantasy points of any note.
I hope your right about Hazard, he needs to get going before i turn him into Sanchez

        • photek says:

funny you say that 1 of 7 i looked at the exact same 2 moves, Haz – Silva and Schnied – Payet but i’m 0.1m short because Payet has gone up to 7.6.
You’re right about Sterling, if he doesn’t get going soon he’s a goner.

      Silvers says:

Hey photek I hit my WC last night in a fit of rage really poor start , looking @ your team Sou have some decent fixtures even if most of there players will drop over nk 2 days , Coates and Sun are in real trouble , & Gomez & Oxford will probably lose there places.
Haz / Sterl Caz top draw wouldn’t have Sch any one of Mahrez , Albrighton , Redmond probably a couple of others.
Kun don’t need to say anything , Roo last chance saloon , Defoe in trouble with Sun Maybe Vardy or Diouf if you can raise a bit of cash. cheers mate 😉

      • photek says:

Cheers Silver, I feel your pain mate, so far i’ve amassed a poor 53 points from both game weeks with only Gomez to (poss) play later.
I make you right about coates, gomez and oxford, all 3 are iffy.
mahrez was in my team before i change it to schn before the season started, great move i know.
roon has a great record against newcastle so he is in the last chance saloon.
really tempted to hit the WC as you’ve done, so annoyed with my lot already.

    Any suggestions ??
I have 2FT and 0 in the bank (i got 46 point 1st week and till now 34 point)

Hazard should be kept or dropped for cheaper alternatives Like Silva or Yaya.Sterling n haz could go down i price i fear

      Andy says:

I hope Haz drops this week, even in a 3-0 hammering he still managed more touches in the opponents penalty box then any other mid yesterday, he’s not returned much in points yet but they’re in the post, he’ll be in my WC squad, no doubt about it.

    Tekno-kun says:

Hm, so it seems like Otamendi is going to City with Mangala staying as well. I really don’t know how this will affect Kompany and Mangala tbh, but Kompany’s probably undroppable with 2 goals in 2 matches so it’s probably Mangala that will be put on the bench.

    • 365.1
      NIN says:

Can you see that one going through? It seems an odd transfer to make. He’s no better than Mangala and will cost a fortune..

      • Tekno-kun says:

It seems like it’s not a question of “if” the transfer will go through, but rather “when.” He’s apparently in Manchester already. I struggle to wrap my head around it as well as we’ll have 3 CBs who all should be starters. If Mangala had gone the other way it would have made sense, but apparently that’s not happening.

    AT says:

Hi all, how would you get Aguero in this team with 2FT and nothing in the bank?

    Thoughts are:
Rooney and Sterling to Aguero and Montero
Rooney and Hazard to Aguero and Depay
Rooney and Milner to Aguero and Anya

    Really not sure!

    • 366.1
      Colriles says:

Hey AT – I’m b apically asking the same question below so not much help here! I guess I’d say Milner… so did I just answer my own question? 😉

    • 366.2
      jamesimmo says:

Hey there AT, it depends on how Milner gets on tonight, but if he blanks then I’d sell him for Anya so that you don’t have to bench Mahrez regularly.

    • 366.3
      Andy says:

I’d wait to see how Pool get on tonight but I’d be leaning towards Roo and Milner with Mahrez being used in your team and Anya benched.

      • AT says:

Thanks all, looks like you’re all pretty sure on that one haha.

Only reason I’m not so sure is that it would price me out of Mert to Darmian and I am seriously considering point hitting for him this GW!

        • jamesimmo says:

          Great minds!

Haha, well if you really want Darmian (and United won’t keep cleanies every week…) then Sterling to Montero would be my second preference, as Swansea look great right now.

        • AT says:

          James,

I think Montero could be a great buy but can’t find a way to factor him in without dropping Sterling.
Having a midfield of Haz/Ozil/Milner/Montero/Mahrez doesn’t seem ideal to me though.
It’s more of a one week punt with them playing Sunderland I guess..

Let’s see how Milner gets on tonight – two goals with the score ending 2 – 1 and no involvement from Benteke or Hendo would do me 😉

        • jamesimmo says:

Yeah that does look little bit light. Price isn’t everything mind! Sounds like a plan… Milner could help make your decision a little more obvious.

Haha I wouldn’t mind that myself really! Benteke scares me… Wilson scoring that other goal please 😉

        • AT says:

Will probably have to ditch Milner even if he does well! haha
Benteke didn’t look great last week so hoping for more of the same!

Wouldn’t mind a Wilson goal if it stopped the Clyne owners getting a CS!

      ichalviking says:

      AT

I’ll try to keep Rooney for another week.
      Maybe Hazard – Sakho –> Kun – ???

Hazard can score anytime and that’s true.
But something is not right at Chelsea now.

      laugh
