Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 2 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 36GW2 is live! This time we are treated to a rarity, a Friday night game. As the Villans welcome in the vaunted Man United attack. However the Red Devils will be missing a key player and we will see what LVG does to offset not having Kyle Walker on the pitch.

If a Friday game wasn’t enough, we are handed a lunch time game between Saints and Everton to kick off our Saturday. Hopefully both teams once again entertain us with goals and bad defending. And please bring on Naismith earlier, the non-Everton fans demand it. Our opening fixture is followed by five 3pm games. The Stokies visit Spurs, a meeting of two sides that will feel hard done to have come away with no points in GW1. In other action Sunderland welcome in Norwich, a match that has everyone very (yawn) excited. Newcastle go to Wales for a match-up with a Swans team that took the game to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. We also see Watford watch the Baggies ride their broken down bus in, after suffering a proper beat down at the hands of the Citizens. The Hammers open their doors to a Leicester team that look really menacing on the attack and in the casino. James Vardy and best mate Okazaki will look to continue to strike fear into defences.

On Sunday we have two fixtures. Pardew will look to continue the good times rolling vs an Arsenal side that is 3 points behind their pace from last season. Strange that, considering they have Petr Cech and he should be worth 12-15 points, maybe it was less, not more? Moving on to the game of the week, well on paper at least. As the most impressive side of GW1, Man City, look for a statement of intent win when they face Jose and a Chelsea side that showed some vulnerabilities on defence.

Monday night sees the game-week come to a conclusion. As Bournemouth makes a trip to Merseyside. Will the Belgian beast get any service? Maybe, if he can convince Ritchie to switch sides before the game.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the fanteam.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

The Friday Surprise…

Aston Villa v Man Utd. 7:45pm

Saturday in full…

Southampton v Everton 12:45pm

Spurs v Stoke 3pm

Sunderland v Norwich 3pm

Swans v Newcastle 3pm

Watford v West Brom 3pm

West Ham v Leicester 3pm

Sunday sees two fixtures…

Crystal Palace v Arsenal 1:30pm

Man City v Chelsea 4pm

Monday also has a fixture…

Liverpool v Bournemouth 8pm

hey all, rough game week here – how’d you all fare? Anybody with info on when/if Aguero’s price rise will happen? Trying to hold off but might not be able to.

Also, which of these 3 would you drop to free up funds for Kun? Pelle, Sterling or Milner?

      AT says:

      Hey Colriles, tonight unfortunately.

I feel like I’m opting for Sterling because I want Montero..

It’s essentially Haz/Sterling/Ozil/Mahrez or Haz/Ozil/Montero/Mahrez because Milner would benched for me this GW. I just don’t know because I really feel like Montero could pay off..

      • Colriles says:

Cheers AT, yeah Montero has been on my radar – guess other folks having the same idea!?

Not sure when I’ll have to pull the trigger on Aguero. Is it 2am in UK when price changes happen? So that would be 9pm for me here in the US…

        • AT says:

I heard someone say they had changed to 7:45am UK time so I’m not too sure.
I wake up and they have changed 😉

FFFix predicted he’d rise last night. I’m pretty sure transfers by players who are on a Wildcard don’t affect price changes as much. Since we can’t tell how many are bringing in players using their WC, price predictors won’t be as accurate this week and probably next week too.

def sterling, sorry if im rude. But choosing sterling over silva is madness. Even toure is a better choice. You should never have had him in your team lol

If you’re feeling down in the dumps then fear not: this guy only has 49 points thus far and has (what is surely) one of the best FPL records out there…

Madness. There’s more than enough hope for us all yet!

Hi all, just came across the site and it’s absolutely spot on, easily the best out there for Fantasy stuff. I’ve had a terrible start with just 44 overall points so far and only Benteke left to play tonight. I’m looking to bring Aguero in sharpish but reading through the comments I can see that many are Wildcarding. My team looked so good on paper before game week 1 haha. I’m thinking Rooney out and a downgrade for Aguero and someone else, or do I wildcard? Any advice? Thanks in advance and again, absolutely love the site!

      Andy says:

If your bringing in Aguero I’d ditch Wally, two games benched in a row means he has to go unfortunately, knowing our luck he’ll no doubt start GW 3 now but Aguero is far more important to have smile

That’ll leave you 5.9 in the kitty fund with Mahrez and Redmond both looking like good options or you could take Albrighton if you’d like some kitty money for future FT’s.

I’m on a wildcard personally as I want to fit in the holy trinity of Alexis, Haz and Aguero and no way could I do that without several hits.

      Hi Jake

Welcome along, I’m glad you found us.

On paper your squad is still very good but we’ve had two weeks of odd results. Don’t panic!

I wouldn’t wildcard your team anyway.

Personally I think Rooney to Aguero is a no-brainer for anyone and that would be the move I’d look at if I were you. Rooney had one touch in the box on Friday. That tells a story to me. Aguero must have had 51 yesterday.

Walcott is a let down and sadly always has been, in fantasy terms I mean. I like Montero for Swansea as replacement but wouldn’t put you off Mahrez in any way either. Redmond of Norwich too is fair value.

Good luck mate and hope you stick around.

      lukealike says:

I think your team is ok, just your strikers are having issues. Everyone has transferred rooney out, but he will score. So you could keep him if you want to risk it but you need to get rid of benteke and deeney. I would swap out deeney this week for gomis, and bench beneteke next week unless he plays well tonight. And I would swap out wanyama for payet. And for game week 3, play 2 strikers and 5 in midfield. That said im not overly keen on walcott and would choose cazorla, ramsey or sanchez way before even considering him. They are guaranteed to make points really where as walcott is a great player but his injuries and stuff he needs to proof himself again.
I have failed to even mention aguero, depends if you can afford him then throw rooney away i guess?

You need payet in your team though, and other people to consider would be cabaye, albrighton, hoolahan, redmond and chadli.

Don’t panic… (reminder for myself also)
Rooney & Wally to Aguero & Mahrez would be perfect there.

      • Jake says:

Haha thanks for that mate! I’m panicking much less now I’ve seen that many on here are in the same boat. That’s the exact move I’m likely to be going for.

        • lukealike says:

yea but its the same move as everyone else, so you wont gain people just equalt them smile

    lukealike says:

Hi guys heres my team for GW3, let me know what you think and I will comment on yours if you want. Thanks!

    G: McCarthy (Butland bench)
D: Dier, Whittaker, Gomez, (Stones, Oxford bench)
M: Payet, Chadli, Sanchez, Hoolahan, Albrighton
    S: Aguero, Gomis (Lukaku bench)

Everton are playing man city so my everton guys are on the bench this week. My captain is most probably going to be Gomis or Payet.

    • 370.1
      Andy says:

I fully agree with benching Stones as the CS looks unlikely but I’d play Lukaku over both Albrighton and Hoolahan this GW, no matter how hard the fixture always stick to the man in form.

      • lukealike says:

I know that is bugging me a bit about lukaku, but I do think everyone in my midefield is in form to some extent even albrighton and hoolahan. And I just see a broing man city vs everton game I think its going to be 0-0 or 1-0 to city. Thats what my gut says
And generally if a midfielder does well, scores or an assist they almost always get more points then a striker scoring a single goal. Mid scores gets 9 points about, striker scores will get about 5

I got a feeling Hazard and Chelsea will trash WBA. This gonna be fun. laugh SELL HIM PEOPLE, SELL HIM!

      Raziel says:

Too many teams, too many wildcard. What a headache. I got a pathetic score so my help is not needed in this place.

      • Andy says:

Like I’d trust people who triple captained Kompany of all players to comment on my fantasy team, I’m down with Haz bouncing back against WBA.

        • Raziel says:

Indeed, but they have a better base than us, lmao. No matter how you look at it. 9 out of the 10 probably will mess up, the ones left over could do very well. 😉

    • 371.2
      Ruben says:

YES SELL HIM!! He he he he…

      😉

    • 371.3
      lukealike says:

Your probably right, but I cant wait and give hima a chance when there is ten other plaYERS who will step up and certainly score foir half his price

    • 371.4
      Raziel says:

My teamvalue will be dying out but I might just keep the players that drop. Mane I want to keep (and he’ll come good for sure), Hazard I’ll keep and he’ll come good for sure. Coates will need to go. Sterling might come good, 1 good gameweek and everybody will be stepping on that 8.9m mid. 😉 Manzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz such a bother all of them dropping though. sad

    Colriles says:

Who should I go with between these four 5.0 or less mids? Westwood, Sinclair, Barry, Hoolahan?

    • 372.1
      lukealike says:

IMO hoolahan with no doubt. Whats he got 3 assists in 2 games>? for 5mil. Good player to field or a great sub. His in my team neways

    • 372.2
      Andy says:

How often do you see yourself using them Colriles? If they are likely to be used at all then Hoolahan but if they’ll be bench fodder I’d go with Barry and use the .5 saved elsewhere. Out of all of them Barry’s place in the Everton team is probably more nailed on.

    • 372.3
      Colriles says:

Cheers guys. He’d be 5th, mid, rotated with Deeney. Looks like Mahrez has earned himself a start every week. I’m leaning Westwood based on him playing 90 twice and Villa’s next 6 fixtures. But I can be swayed….
