Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 2 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 36GW2 is live! This time we are treated to a rarity, a Friday night game. As the Villans welcome in the vaunted Man United attack. However the Red Devils will be missing a key player and we will see what LVG does to offset not having Kyle Walker on the pitch.

If a Friday game wasn’t enough, we are handed a lunch time game between Saints and Everton to kick off our Saturday. Hopefully both teams once again entertain us with goals and bad defending. And please bring on Naismith earlier, the non-Everton fans demand it. Our opening fixture is followed by five 3pm games. The Stokies visit Spurs, a meeting of two sides that will feel hard done to have come away with no points in GW1. In other action Sunderland welcome in Norwich, a match that has everyone very (yawn) excited. Newcastle go to Wales for a match-up with a Swans team that took the game to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. We also see Watford watch the Baggies ride their broken down bus in, after suffering a proper beat down at the hands of the Citizens. The Hammers open their doors to a Leicester team that look really menacing on the attack and in the casino. James Vardy and best mate Okazaki will look to continue to strike fear into defences.

On Sunday we have two fixtures. Pardew will look to continue the good times rolling vs an Arsenal side that is 3 points behind their pace from last season. Strange that, considering they have Petr Cech and he should be worth 12-15 points, maybe it was less, not more? Moving on to the game of the week, well on paper at least. As the most impressive side of GW1, Man City, look for a statement of intent win when they face Jose and a Chelsea side that showed some vulnerabilities on defence.

Monday night sees the game-week come to a conclusion. As Bournemouth makes a trip to Merseyside. Will the Belgian beast get any service? Maybe, if he can convince Ritchie to switch sides before the game.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the fanteam.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

18 points from Benteke and Clyne, with bonus to come. Kind of saved my week.

So how to fund Aguero ….

    Narrowed to

    Sacrifice Ozil or Benteke

    Leaning towards Ozil – thoughts?

Dreamers, do you have any other Arsenal cover? Tricky one as there are some very difficult games coming up for Pool away from home..
What sort of players would you be downgrading to?

      • TheDreamers says:

AT – only other Arsenal I have is Cech.

It would likely be Ozil to Mahrez or someone like that (Albrighton, Redmond, Houlahan) or Benteke to Vardy I guess

        • AT says:

          Both very similar options really..
I would personally choose Montero/Mahrez or Vardy but can’t really say which.

On fixtures, Benteke for the chop but Ozil is probably less likely to get points..

        • TheDreamers says:

ya similar thoughts to myself. Prob wc in a few weeks so figure it could be short term too. Ozil unlikely to score massive. Benteke could

          done – Ozil to go

          thanks

Awful week, time to move on!

Aguero in is my top priority.

How would you get him in to this team?
Thinking Rooney and Milner to Aguero and Anya is a good shout.

Like the idea of Montero but Mahrez and Montero seems a little too light…

Yeah I’d go for Milner to Anya so that you can play Mahrez each gameweek.

I did a similar pair of moves last night – no doubt Rooney will bag a brace vs Newcastle – but who cares? It simply has to be done!

      • AT says:

James, it probably will happen after my last week but if I hold off Aguero would only do the same! haha

Rooney had one touch in the box and no shots this game week so let’s hope he repeats 😉

Best defender for 4.5 ? I think I need rid of Coates who I think may be dropping.

    Hey y’all
Had a complete shocker last two weeks.
Pulled the trigger on my whole team…only Huth survived the cull..
    So WC active..
    Waddy a think?

      AT says:

      Bigpopz, looks good to me.

If I were to be picky: Triple Swansea is too much; Palace have tricky fixtures but Ward could be a good shout; not convinced by a Villa defender; Targett won’t keep his place and Barkley, Montero and Mahrez creates an awful selection headache every week.

For me, Kompany and Lukaku is chasing the form but I got 25 points this week so what do I know!?
      I got top 20k last year, I promise 😉

    • 408.2
      TheDreamers says:

Barkley and Targett jump out to me, Barkley being ott for me given you have Lukaku and Targett being very short timeframe in the team.

Early days with the WC tinkering
Will take on your advice tho.
