Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 2 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15
The deadline bell has rung, meaning no more tinkering, no more transfers and your gameweek captain has been chosen. Did you go with Costa or Fabregas or are you ignoring the Chelsea brigade and maybe kept faith with Siggy or even Robertson!! Whatever your team, we now look forward to three days of action, starting off with Aston Villa vs Newcastle this lunchtime and finishing Monday night at the Etihad as City entertain Liverpool.
Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.
Good luck for GW2 from all at FF247!
Hmmm, my biggest rival just used his wildcard. I’m 9 points ahead of him after the first GW. Can’t say I’m all that impressed with his team:
Krul – Mannone
Bruce – Vlaar – Debuchy – Wisdom – Lovren
Ramsey – Fabregas – Silva – Siggy – Wanyama
Costa – Dzeko – Rooney
My team, no wildcard used (yet) and 0.5m in bank:
DDG – Gilks
Pieters – Chambers* – Terry – Hutton – Baird*
Ramsey – Fabregas – Mata – Siggy – Albrighton
Costa – Pelle – Rooney
*on boot list, I think Chambers will go first.
On that note, I was quite happy with his sucky team from last week. Too bad he upgraded it. But using WC this early and come with that (which isn’t too far off from my team) puts him in a disadvantage right?
Ps. reason why he’s my biggest rival is because I won the Dutch League we’re both in the first season I played he came in second (50 players or something) and last season he won the league and I came in second.
There’s pretty much nothing between your two teams Raz, but you having your WC gives you a huge advantage, both in practice and psychologically. Having a 9 pt lead doesn’t hurt either.
Cant believe I held onto my FT in GW1. This GW should be interesting with 2FTs
Is TotalFPL down for everyone? I really want to check out the Rivals page there.

You saviour!!
Been trying to access its homepage since last night and was getting “Execution of the command requires an open and available connection. The connection’s current state is broken.” error continuously.
Good luck all! Just woken up in the US, and getting a brew on with the Villa vs Newcastle game- I love the early kickoffs! Hoping for a Colo CS today, and maybe a good sight of Newcastle’s new attackers in full flow- they have a lot of potential. Everyone losing their Vlaar CS would be helpful too…. 😉
Great to see “swither” being discussed this morning, takes me back home!
Hey Pip- whereabouts are you in the states? I used to set the alarm for the 7:45am kickoff…now with a baby I’m up 2 hours before ko. :coffee:
I’m in DC Colriles. Used to occasionally go out to an Irish bar on Sundays for their brunch and watch the 8:30 game. Saturday though it’s a bit early so I just watch at home. Yourself?
Hope the baby watching too is making this game more exciting- it’s not really got going still. Some flashes though
I’m in Rhode Island. Some good premier league pubs around but obviously much harder to sneak out these days!
The cop kicking the ball back on the field was the most exciting bit of the match so far….
haha, yep, you’re not too wrong!
Wait? Janmaat takings corners for Newcastle? Makes him even more interesting.
+1. He’s getting forward well too. Enjoyed watching him in the WC.
Cabella should’ve scored there, at least got it on target. This game hasn’t really got going yet
Very interesting. The thing is, is there enough goals in this team.
I’d say not. No shots on target last week, only 2(?) this week so far. There’s a lot of busy activity around the box but nothing really for Guzan to do so far. Villa’s defence looks useful though, and they’re cleaning up around their box well.
Hoping for a good week today, last week for a disaster having McGregor and Chester on the bench.
Cabella has impressed me again this half. Unfortunately no end product from Newcastle, they should’ve re-signed Ba.
I’m kinda looking forward to some big players back, and more teams having mixed fixtures. That should make teams more different to now. Don’t remember teams being so similar last year so early.
