CC – I think Janmaat could be that player if Newcastle had someone to put the ball in the net
Janmaat, Ivanovic, Coleman all look bright. The latter 2 are way more expensive though.
Sighs, Siem de JOng isn’t the right guy for goals either, he helps creating. I really think Newcastle needs 1 more striker. On that note, I think Siem could do better than those silly French with their weird hairdues and their bad attitude (in general :P).
TGP – Will he really play over Walker? They only paid 4m for him

He seems better than Walker, dare I say. I think Walker’s career has tailed off a bit.
Hard to ignore a man on for two clean sheets and scoring two goals from defence.

Tottenham are on the verge of signing another central defender (Fazio or something) so I wouldn’t bet on Dier being nailed on.
Tekno – Dier is played FB today instead of the suspended Naughton and the injured Walker. Kaboul is captain and Vertoghen the other cb. Who will Fazio replace in that defence?

Reckon it’s more about getting depth than him directly replacing someone. Spurs also have Chiriches so that’s 4 CB’s right there.
Even if Dier can play RB, Spurs also have Naughton and Walker to play in that position. Don’t know when Walker is back, but wouldn’t be surprised to see Dier preferred over Naughton with these performances.
Caulker is frustrating me already.

Patience sir. I have Eriksen too. He had to still be the pick ahead of this season. Well done the boys on Lamela though – and even more so, those who picked up Dier after week 1.
I would say Eriksen and Lamela will score roughly the same over the season.
