Soooo thoughts on Lamela? I have Eriksen, do I remain patient with him, switch for Lamela, OR switch for Siggy/Ramsey?
Do we think Dier will be nailed on? I wouldn’t mind some Spurs defence and this guys attacking threat difficult to ignore, with Dawson sidelined!

I’d get a few thoughts on this, but mainly: there’s a lot of talk of what I’d call a *sideways move*, and we saw this last week too. Fabregas vs Hazard, Eriksen vs Lamela, etc etc. If the team is in form, and both attacking midfielders are playing, there’s little between them for me. This week Eriksen plays a superb game, gets man of the match, but Lamela gets two assists (vs key passes, or whatever). Next week it could be the same. Last week, everyone dumps Hazard for Fab, this week Hazard scores. People ditched Mata for Ramsey/Fab, this week Mata scores.

The choices we make are ultimately our own, but there’s a lot of people (not just you mate, so don’t take this personally) asking quite desperate questions about what (for me) are toss of the coin decisions. Pick 4/5 strong midfielders who get in good positions and whose team are winning games or *should be*. They’ll do the rest. Hope these thoughts are of some help.

        Cheers for your thoughts!
No “desperation”, I’ll always make my own choices anyway – just wondering what people think!

        • Pippin says:

yeah, that was maybe a bit strong. I’d stick with Eriksen personally, though as Josh says Siggy and Ramsey are good options too if you’ve not got Swansea or Arsenal players right now (though Arsenal may not be essential just yet)

Agree Eriksen to Lamela being sideways and a 50/50 coin flip! I suspect they’ll both do well this season, who might outshine the other yet to be seen.
I have Giroud – keeping an eye on his ankle injury, if he won’t be playing then the Eriksen to Ramsey move could be a good one to maintain some arsenal attacking coverage. I’ve got no Swansea coverage, and Siggy at 6.2m is tempting. The joys of fantasy football!

No need to switch to Lamela if you already have Eriksen. Sideways move. A switch to Sigurdsson or Ramsey would be smart depending on the rest of your team.

I asked this about Eriksen/Lamella a page or two back, but how badly do you guys think Lamella will affect Eriksen’s points potential from open play? Lamella looks a selfish player to me, much like Mirallas at Everton, and always looks to shoot even if a pass is the better option.

There were several times today Eriksen wasn’t passed to when he should have been, so I’m wondering if Eriksen’s appeal will be limited mostly to free kicks and assists.

Lamela did get 2 assists though and still hasn’t scored…

        • RedVT says:

That’s true, as he’s on corners from the right side and did hit the one that Dier scored. But watching him over the course of the past two matches reminded me so much of Mirallas. Maybe it’s just a personal thing but I don’t like selfish players and the more I see of him the more I don’t really like his ‘style’ I guess. I have a feeling this may cut into Eriksen’s chances from open play, but who knows…
