GW20 is live! We hope you are happy with your transfers, your line-up and your all important captain selection as there’s little else you can do now other than sit back and watch the action unfold. Live Match Chat is your chance to have your say on the line-ups as they are announced, the games as they happen and the fallout afterwards! I am sure a lunch time kick-off will be a bit much for many of you, as I can see plenty not waking up until the 3pm games. However for those good boys and girls who didn’t party their body into submission we jump into GW20 and the New Year with the crowd pleasing Stoke City vs that wee team in Manchester. This is followed by 8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 more fixtures at 3pm. After 9 fixtures of fun, we save the best for last with Spurs bending over as customary when their daddy Mourinho brings his Chelsea side for his customary 3 points.

I think it was given for a handball so were unlikely to get that mate. I think it has to be a direct foul on the player to get a assist for a pen.

Penalties and Free-Kicks
In the event of a penalty or free-kick, the player earning the penalty or free-kick is awarded an assist if a goal is directly scored, but not if he takes it himself, in which case no assist is given.

Fpl website has no assist given.imagine sterling should get the assist though.

To get an assist from a handball the offence has to happen on the goal line, as in stopping a clear goal scoring opportunity, as this was from a cross (I think) I doubt we’ll get it.
