GW22 is live! We hope you are happy with your transfers, your line-up and your all important captain selection as there’s little else you can do now other than sit back and watch the action unfold. Live Match Chat is your chance to have your say on the line-ups as they are announced, the games as they happen and the fallout afterwards! This round of fixtures starts with six games at 3pm as there is no early lunch time game this weekend. Saturday then finishes with the Saints marching in to St. James’ park looking for the 3 points against the Silver fox-less Toon. Sunday brings us two fixtures. The hammers looking to nail down the expected 3 points and the second clash that sees the title contenders square off against the 4th place contender, Gunners. The GW then concludes with what promises to be an interesting battle of wills. That being Everton’s deep desire to concede vs Pulis deep desire to never attack.

Something just isn’t right for City at the moment… We’re good at winning back the ball, we succeed at getting the ball in the box, but we just can’t finish our attacks. We need to improve quickly or we’re gonna get slaughtered at the Bridge next GW.
Season could be over if they lose next week
Nah, even 8 pts behind it’s too early to conclude at this point. Both City and Chelsea have some difficult matches in the end so anything can happen. It wouldn’t be the 1st time we caught up with an 8 pt lead ^^
This Chelsea is miles ahead of the opponents City had to face back then. However, it’s key City win the next game at Stamford Bridge.
This Chelsea is miles ahead of Ferguson’s United? Don’t think there ever has been a PL team that has been “miles ahead” of any edition of United under Ferguson.
I rate this Chelsea higher than the first Chelsea under Mourinho.
Really? Well, this Chelsea team has already conceded and lost more than they did in the 04-05 season. Anyways, it’s pointless to speculate who will win at this point. I’m not aware of a team more capable of accomplishing the unexpected (positive or negative) than City, even though I don’t believe we’ll win the PL myself.
Don’t think Chelsea will throw away an 8 or lead if they get it again.
No, it’s not likely for Chelsea to throw away an 8 pt lead, but unlikely results happen in the PL quite often. It took City a month to gain 8 pts on Chelsea, and it will have taken Chelsea a month to regain that lead of they win against City. Don’t think anyone would have expected City and Chelsea to be on equal points at the beginning of January a couple of months ago either.
