This round of fixtures starts with six games at 3pm as there is no early lunch time game this weekend. The hammers looking to nail down the expected 3 points and the second clash that sees the title contenders square off against the 4th place contender, Gunners. The GW then concludes with what promises to be an interesting battle of wills. That being Everton’s deep desire to concede vs Pulis deep desire to never attack.

3 weeks in a row I’ve captain the wrong player. It’s costing me sad frustrating.

55 points with Baines to come. Happy with that. If only I’d captained Costa then it would’ve been a great week.

2 points ahead of my cup opponent who has no players left, nothing silly from Baines and I’m through.

Ditto. It started with me on Boxing Day. At least today Giroud paid back some of the pain he caused me then. 38 this GW with Foster still to play.

I don’t think its overkill meet.Arsenal have some tasty upcoming fixtures and Cazorla is in good form and on penalties .

That’s a great question, Jeet. Some fascinating facts:
      1. The FPL official site lists 15 Arsenal midfielders, 12 of which have played this season.
      2. Only 4 of the 15 are flagged as injured, including Gnabry – who hasn’t played this season, and who’s listed as ready to play from 11 January but lacking match fitness.
      3. I’m sure I read somewhere there’s a rumour Arsenal are about to sign another midfielder. Not sure this counts as a fact but, given the above, it’s still fascinating – no?
      4. Of those 15, Mr W managed to play 7 today including obviously Sanchez and Carzola. But not Walcott or Ozil, both who figured in GW21.
      5. Carzola notched 205 pts two seasons ago but only 128 last season (92 already so far this season so a definite improvement on last).
      6. Arsenal have come through their last 2 matches quite comfortably.
      7. Arsenal are still in the CL.
With all that in mind, there’s a risk of either of both players being rested/rotated but otherwise it’s not overkill to have both. But Arsenal, like Chelsea, are now a club from which you may want your max 3 players – Ospina, Koscielny and Giroud are all tempting on this form, and all may be more sure of their gametime than the midfielders.

Awful GW really, no Costa (or Oscar!) killed me in the end.

Worth WCing this week? I think so…
