GW22 is live! We hope you are happy with your transfers, your line-up and your all important captain selection as there’s little else you can do now other than sit back and watch the action unfold. Live Match Chat is your chance to have your say on the line-ups as they are announced, the games as they happen and the fallout afterwards! This round of fixtures starts with six games at 3pm as there is no early lunch time game this weekend. Saturday then finishes with the Saints marching in to St. James’ park looking for the 3 points against the Silver fox-less Toon. Sunday brings us two fixtures. The hammers looking to nail down the expected 3 points and the second clash that sees the title contenders square off against the 4th place contender, Gunners. The GW then concludes with what promises to be an interesting battle of wills. That being Everton’s deep desire to concede vs Pulis deep desire to never attack.

After what can only be described as another shite game week, this fortnight is going to drag and drag. Red arrows the norm at the moment.
Evening Cookie, I recorded a miserable 45. Rivals have caught up 50 points on me over the past two weeks so nothing good to report here either. Wildcard time!

Cookie – it’s going to be two long weeks, but we have two weeks to prepare and get ready to fly up those rankings. I can’t believe how bad my score of 25 was!! Not one of my players performed!!! Getting rid of Costa for kun certainly hurt me!! Slipped up in all my mini leagues which I was leading by upto 100 points in some of them!!
Hi Mitro, thing is I’m pretty well set (on paper) for next GW so don’t feel I need to do a lot. May try and find a 14 day hobby!!
By the way, as much as I give your boys some stick, credit where due and that was a tremendous win today. Thought they battled very well and seemed like they fully deserved the win – it was difficult to tell completely as I missed the first half and my feed was buffering for about 44mins of the 2nd!!
Cookie – I keep on looking at my team and I still can’t work out what happened!!! I suppose it’s one of those weeks!
Thanks mate, It was a great win!! Started getting a bit twitchy when rambo started bombing forward at every opportunity. Hopefully this kick starts our season which has been quite poor to be honest!! These next few months are going to be great to watch!! Still can’t work out who’s going to get top 4!!

Between JWP & Elia, I would pick Elia if your funds allow it and you’re going to play him. If he’s just going to sit on your bench, then JWP or cheaper.

Palace have a few decent fixtures coming up and if the new manager is getting them going then he’s a pretty decent option for me.

the only issue is his team. would prefer a top half team player than a lower one.
I’m going for Puncheon, Siggy and Johnson on my WC team so far. Seriously considering Elia too but not sure which of the first 3 to jettison. Probably Siggy at this point. JWP has 7 assists so far though and he missed a big chunk of the season. He’s not as ‘sexy’ a pick as say Elia but he’s dam consistent.
JWP all the way, I’m glad Elia takes the shine away from JWP short term since I’m not wildcarding. Everything seems to have fallen into place. Happy about that. :dance:
You don’t rate him Raz? You’ll know more about him than most. We see lots of players burst onto the scene initially then revert to type, I take it you feel the same will happen here? (Actually saw a name flash up on Sky yesterday as a scorer who reminded me of just this – Pavel Pogrebnyak, remember him getting 5 in 3 or something and we haven’t heard from him since!)

Ah, I remember Pog. Brings to mind that Reading player who kept coming off the bench and scoring, Adam Le Fondre was it? It was the season when essentially everyone played 3-5-2 with the same 5 mids, anyone remember who those mids were? Mata, Fellaini, Walcott are the ones I’m sure of (Mata played for Chelsea and Fellaini for Everton), maybe Silva and Siggy were the two others? Anyone else remember this?

Nothing should happen according to FFF, price rise that is. Few price drops on the radar. Anyway, yesterday Clyne was a shock riser, he was nowhere near rising on FFF. So it’s a risk you have to be willing to take.

I have the exact same front 7 (I have Siggy on Bench). It seems a pretty good team. I have held off WC until I was certain to bring Aguero in, was happy I didn’t this week and next week isn’t looking good.
