Have decent 71 points with Lukaku and Ozil to go!! Thinking of Ighalo -> Kane and downgrade Kdb or Mahrez, probably kdb as I have Aguero that will leave me with 8.6m itb so can get Firmino, barkley or mostly anyone. Worth it?
Get rid of Ighalo. Why would you do that.
Wouldnt ditch Ighalo with his form, especially for Kane.
Fixtures aren’t good and Kane has better! Both look in form to me :/
Snookie,
I’m thinking the other way around, Kane –> Ighalo.
Didn’t have Ighalo hurt me a lot, most of my rivals in my ML have him.
You have Spurs coverage in Alli.
Finally in the Top 100K this season for the first time!
It has been a very difficult journey so far.
B..good times ahead buddy..
Yeah Con! You had a pretty decent jump this GW too.
Well done with the Firmino punt! Wanted to bring him in myself, but was short on funds to make a straight swap for Mahrez.
B would you recommend it now for a straight swap of Mahrez to Firmino?
This was the GW to bring him in mate. With Leicester next, Im not sure. But definitely looking forward to bring him in for GW25 + 26 against Sunderland and Villa.
B.. Yeah..second time this season that happened. First time Kane fetched me a hattrick in GW10 when I played my WC. Couldn’t sustain the form after the aguero’s five goal episode. Wrong cappo choices let me down.
Hmm same here Leicester have reasonably tightened up at the back and Mahrez can score good against shitty defence of Pool 😉
B, i see Leicester-Pool to be a high scoring match. 3-2 pool for me..
Congrats B. Keep moving in the right direction.
Many left to play today?
Only the 3 usual suspects. Bellerin, Ozil and Lukaku.
Morning all!!
How is GW23 going for you so far? Im currently on 44 with bellerin, Ozil and lukaku to play! Kun saved me again and I managed to see some green arrows again….just!
Anyway I appreciate the next GW is some time away but what do you think of the following moves;
Mahrez and kane to Sanchez and ighalo!(ighalo would cover me against my main 3 opponents in my ML)
Kane’s on form with good fixtures so I wouldn’t get rid.
I know but ighalo is killing me and then taking a huge shit on my grave!
Only because he was playing Newcastle. Apart from that Watford are having second half season syndrome and with hard fixtures coming up I think his goals will dry up.
I hope so!!
Or I just do KDB to Sanchez
sounds good tome Mitro..Even I’m planning for a double Arsenal cover
We have some decent fixtures coming up and if Sanchez can get back to his old ways quickly then it will pay off! We have today’s game and then the Burnley game to see how sharp he is!
Hi Mitro,
Same as me, Ighalo hurt me so bad.
Damn I need him to be blanked, he just won’t stop scoring.
:sad-face:
Wildcarding-time… How does this look?
future template front 8. good team that means
I have 6 of those front 8 players but with Kane and Barkley in place of Alli and Lukaku. I would be interested to know peoples opinions on this.
1 Kane Barkley
2 Lukaku Alli
I think your wildcard team of option 2 might be edging it but not sure
Just seen Alli play against Palace….. Defo option 2!
Team looks really solid. You’ll have headaches as to who to leave out each GW! Alli is now a first choice midfielder despite his low price and Igahlo is back on form. Anyway is consider taking out Fonte and replacing him with Targett. Also keep an open mind about Dann as Palace look to be in the middle of a slump and their defence seem to be leaking goals.
Looks solid but you might have a few headaches on who to bench every week. You not interested in Sanchez? Could be difficult to shuffle that team around if he hits the ground running.
Blimey Milburn! Our first two sentences are nearly identical!
Great minds…
Lol I had to check those 3 times to make sure they weren’t duplicates!!
Agree with the “Dupe boys” Allan – you are defo going to have issues and then in turn you’ll give us headaches as to who to bench every week. Ridiculous money spent in defence – 3 premium is enough as there are plenty of cheap options.
Players out are KDB, Kane, Barkley, Arnautovic and DeGea….
Players in Ighalo, Agüero, Firmino, Payet and schmeikel….
Bad moves?
And that kind of headache is just kind I like;)
Does this sound good moves mahrez to firminho
Kdb to payet. Or some thing different
Here’s my team
Tough one. Been thinking a lot about your moves and if pushed I’d probably do Firmino for KdB. At least you have City attacking cover in Aguero. I’m thinking of doing a similar move. Liverpool’s upcoming fixtures look decent but then again so do City’s!
Cheers chilly. Is aguero enough city coverage? Need payet in my team some how. The guy was class yesterday and west hams fixtures look good
A lot of people seem to be making similar transfers but I’m not convinced myself. Think I’d prefer to work around getting Sanchez in personally. Wouldn’t be making any early transfers this week though.
Only things are that Firmino is in form at present whereas Sanchez may still need to work his way back upto full fitness. Plus I can see a lot of people bringing in Sanchez at one point or another but not so much Firmino. He’ll still represent a differential. Anyone think Ozil might have run out of steam like he usually does second half of the season?
That’s what people said about Aguero. There’s obviously no guarantees Sanchez will hit form immediately but I just think he’s a ff necessity.
I don’t see any reason to think Ozil won’t carry on assisting for fun.
Morning lads,
I see a lot of people are selling(thinking of selling) KDB for Firmino and I’m tempted myself with Liverpool’s fixtures but City’s are nice too so I’m not sure. Plus Liverpool aren’t the mist reliable of teams as well.
What do you think I should do? Probably won’t make any moves yet as there’s still a good few matches to play before next week. Just want an idea as I’ll probably be short due to Mahrez dropping in price and KDB probably following suit.
Hey Matt, it’s a move that is really interesting me. I watched City last night and KDB was very poor – yet they have Sunderland next and then 2 home games.
However, it seems that Firmino is now finding his feet that gave him great stats in Germany, like KDB.
As you know with Liverpool comes inconsistency but with these decent hauls becoming slightly more regular and with a decent fixture list he is more than worth it compared to KDB assuming he doesn’t go all quiet once we all buy him
Hey Cook, ye the City fixtures are what’s making me keep him or maybe I should just downgrade him to Silva to keep the City cover.
Yes that’s what I’m afraid of as usually whenever I get in a Liverpool player the good form and the bonus point’s they get in the weeks before dry up and they become the worst player on the pitch for example Moreno.
What do you think of my idea below?
Just answered below mate. I’d only go down the cheaper striker route if you want Alexis
Just had an idea that would help with the money side of things. What’d your thoughts on Austin in for Kane as a differential and Mahrez to Firmino or Stanislas to Firmino if I have the funds??
Matt, Kane to Austin is not a wise move in my view, Saints don’t score that many and Kane is consistent. But I agree Austin is a differential if you want to go down the cheap striker route. Your strikers are good though mate and Spurs have nice fixtures.
KDB to Firmino is the obvious.
Hmm I get what you mean. I think I’ll leave him out then and give him and Sanchez a few more weeks to see how they do as it’s easy to just do Kane/Lukaku to Austin and someone to Sanchez if need be.
I think I’ll leave the transfer for now as City against Sunderland is too enticing. Cheers Cook.
Cheers Matt good luck
