    No Baines & no Hazard

Stones is out of the squad Wednesday against Newcastle.Since recovering from a knee injury, Stones has started 15 consecutive Premier League matches. However, without any apparent injury, their stud center back has been dropped from the squad. With another match over the weekend, this could be a way of giving the 21-year-old some extra rest or he could be nursing an injury that popped up in training. Phil Jagielka will get the start in his place.

Extra rest? Yeah right. Doing a deal with another club, more like.

      • Raziel says:

Why? He’s been shite, this season. Really mediocre. Was awesome last season and at the start of this one still rated highly. What topteam would risk getting him now?

        • inittowinit says:

I disagree Raz, having seen him live a few times you can tell he’s different class. But like seeing Rooney when he was a kid, you just knew. Lot to learn obviously and Martinez probably isn’t the man to teach him that really. If Pep gets his mitts on him as I suspect he might then he’ll be brilliant. Although I think from memory you don’t like Pep either do you? I’ll shut up smile

        • NIN says:

United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona are all interested, from what i’ve read. He’s a class defender in the making. Big clubs would be foolish, very foolish in fact, to write the kid off and look elsewhere.

        • NIN says:

Oh yeah, City too! How could i forget – they’re after everyone. Even Anders Limpar has had a trial from what i hear.

        • Raziel says:

You have been on the pitch and seen him luve. Also this season? Last season he was pure class, but he’s made a lot of mistakes this season, like silly ones. On that note, that comes with age. Not having Jags as partner also didn’t help.

I’m not writing him off NiN. But I wonder if this is the best moment to get him? Or the best moment for him to leave. Keeping Euros in mind.

        • NIN says:

Absolutely, yes. Everton fans wont like it but he’s gone in the summer. As init said, probably to City – maybe Barcelona. City does make more sense but i have a feeling he’ll go to Barcelona if they actually come in for him. He’d slot straight in there too. Stones and Pique :shake:

        • inittowinit says:

They don’t let you wander around the pitch over here Raz but yes I’ve seen him live this season and last and he’s improved over that time. The chat is that he wants to stay near home so that plays into City’s hands perfectly. I have no problem with our best youngsters going off to improve themselves as per Rooney did. The only issue I have is us getting their crap back in exchange laugh

        • NIN says:

Funes Mori and Demichelis as next seasons partnership? 😉

        • inittowinit says:

I was actually referring to your crap in the past NIN!

        • NIN says:

How dare you! United have sent nothing but quality to Goodison. Gibbo and Cleverley, man. Lethal laugh

        • Raziel says:

Roonpig scored seven matches in a row now. Will he score versus Chelski on Sunday?

So people who have Baines, getting rid?

    specialK says:

Sigh. I was hoping Baines would act as a great differential for me tonight.
    How wrong I was.
