    PeterPan says:

So seems with some BPS I will have 61 points with Lukaku to go…
VERY happy that I started Dier instead of Evans literally seconds before the window closed.

Saw a few guys in my league have either Ighalo or Baines vs my Lukaku so hoping a 2-1 Lukaku double and 1-1 (not Ighalo scoring or assisting) tomorrow night… not asking too much now am I?

    How did everyone else do?

      NIN says:

Terrible. 49 with three to go. FMLS actually can’t come quick enough. This FPL malarkey is a nightmare this season.

      • PeterPan says:

        Nin,
Agreed on FPL being a nightmare… but think some normality is starting to settle… a touch too late though haha

        • NIN says:

It is? I’m yet to see it! Other than Aguero of course but him being injured is just as standard as him being fit and scoring for fun laugh

        • inittowinit says:

I’d agree actually PP. Last few weeks it seems like finally players you’d expect to perform, given form, are finally doing so more consistently. Certainly more so than prior to Christmas. Just feels a little easier to predict than it was, finally.

    PeterPan says:

    My back 6 are:
    Cech McCarthy
    Smalling Dier Ward J.Evans Cresswell

Am I mad to be thinking of doing Cech and Ward/Evans out for Forster and Bellerin?
I will have 0.0m/0.4m left currently if I do it for a 4PH

Else can wait after the weekend and do Cech and Evans out for them.

Had Cech basically from the beginning and believe his a brilliant keeper to have… but Forster has kept 4 clean sheets in his last 4… and has decent fixtures coming up and would keep Aresnal defensive coverage by getting Bellerin in…

Am I mad for thinking it? Or do it after the weekend as I have the 0.4m buffer and wont take any hits?

      theswirly says:

Could you downgrade Smalling to someone (as they’ve now got Chelsea and Arsenal in two of their next three fixtures) to change McCarthy to Forster and that way you’ve got both Cech and Forster? Or even Ward or Evans if you can afford it?

      • PeterPan says:

        Swirly

Ideally I only want 1 keeper, like I have had the entire season.
Already have enough of a headache with 8 attackers haha.

Just think that Bellerin will keep Arsenal coverage in place of Evans (which I am ok with)
Fine benching Smalling for 1 or 2 games since I made some good profit off him and would be a waste trying to get him back after that period

        • theswirly says:

Fair enough, matey. The only other thing I’d say is that I’m usually against points hits for defenders and keepers. I’d stick, if it were me. You may get an injury or suspension in your squad and then wish that your transfer went on that instead (without meaning to sound like I’m wishing that on you, of course!).

        • PeterPan says:

          swirly,
Thats why I would do it AFTER this weekends GW as I would have 2 FT’s smile
Luckily if I lose Evans for this plan I currently have 0.4m buffer for price changes

        • theswirly says:

Ah, sorry, matey – missed that from your original post!

        • PeterPan says:

          Swirly
          haha no stress smile
But if no injuries and taking no hits…
Think its a good long term plan?

    FC Sanchez says:

Goal of the season for Vardy today; why did I sell him!!?? Thank goodness I kept Mahrez. Two tough games coming up but the form Vardy, Mahrez and Leceister are in, might get him back if Lukaku blanks again tomorrow! What do you guys think?

    • 51.1
      theswirly says:

Certainly worth considering, especially with Everton having a blank GW27!

    • 51.2
      NIN says:

Probably selling Lukaku myself mate – there’s a gazillion options out there, and Vardy is definitely among them.

      • FC Sanchez says:

Yeah, defo considering Vardy! Love watching them play as well!!

        • NIN says:

Yep, they certainly entertain! Fair play to Ranieri. I had no confidence in him but alas, here we are, 24 games in and they’re top. Great stuff.

        • DMC says:

Just brutal right NIN ? I am now actualy rooting for them! Mahrez had a shot at goal with 0-0 that just describes it for me. Their run from guarenteed relegation around this time last year to being top of the league is just … I don’t know, there are no words for it. It would be interesting to know, they probably have the most points in 38 consecutive epl games regardeless of the season. Brutal, just brutal!

        • FC Sanchez says:

Yeah, that Mahrez shot was sublime and would have been an awesome goal if it wasn’t for an equally awesome save by Migs!

    Neo says:

Hi lads, I’m looking to make my transfers now so that I don’t get hit by price changes.

    Butland McCarthy
    Bellerin Evans Fonte Coloccini Jagielka
    Ozil Payet Alli Mahrez Stanilas
    Lukaku Kane Aguero

I have 2 FT and am thinking of

    1. Stanilas and Lukaku to Sanchez and Deeney (or anyone below 5.7m)

    2. Ozil to Sanchez and upgrade my defence, probably Coloccini to Toby

My front 8 is basically the same as my competitor except that he has Barkley and I have Lukaku. It’s tough to make up on points because his defence usually does better with odd goals from players like Dann FFS

    • 52.1
      theswirly says:

Well, option 1 would mean you’d find yourself doing more 3-5-2 formations (to avoid choice headaches), whilst option 2 would be 3-4-3. I’d say option 2 – perhaps consider Johnson, Ivanovic, Van Dijk and Cresswell too.

      • Neo says:

I would play 3-5-2 weekly and leave out Deeney! I’m looking to get a stronger bench with GW 27 coming up; technically Stanilas and a blank forward to Sanchez and Deeney for that week!

I know I gotta upgrade the defence, thanks for the suggestions, but I just love to bump up the attack! :p

    • 52.2
      Kruzcampo says:

Your defence is a shambles. Bellerin is the only decent one,Evans is injured,Coloccini plays for Newcastle,Evertons defence is crap and Fonte gives a few points now and again,And McCarthy doesn,t play..Mids & forwards ok so sort your defence with the weekly ft if you have the funds

  5. 53
    gunners says:

    Getting Vardy back for Ighalo.

  6. 54
    EBC says:

Who did I advise to get Sigurdsson? Did you get him?

I should follow my own advice, decided to wait a week instead of benching Mahrez. I’ll get him in this week.
