Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 26 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 26GW26 is live! After days of deliberation your transfers are done and your captain is picked. So now it is time to sit back and watch the points roll in, hopefully. Our main man T.J. should have the line-ups with you soon, to get the GW going. Saturday sees no lunchtime action as we have six games starting at 3pm. Stoke pays a visit to Villa park and have left all their keepers at home, daring any Villa forward to score. Chelsea receive Burnley in what is the first of two easy game-weeks. Pardew and Wenger battle it out for sexiest man alive when Arsenal’s midfield dwarfs visit Selhurst Park. Hull City welcomes in QPR in a bit of Sunday League action. Pulis leads his all out attack to face a Sunderland side that is looking to achieve mediocrity. In Swansea we will see a Siggy sighting as they look to fend off the sideways long ball attack of LVG’s men. In the last game of the day City welcome in the Toon, who they have managed to pummel 15-1 in their last 5 EPL meetings.
Sunday brings us the last 3 fixtures starting with a lunch time kickoff. Spurs one man show Bale Kane looks to add more goalkeeper scalps to his ever growing collection as the hammers come in after their FA cup disaster. That is followed up by the Toffees rolling out the red carpet for last place Leicester who are always a sight for sore eyes. The GW is concluded when the Saints look to derail Liverpool’s charge for a Champions League spot, in what looks like the best game of the weekend.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the woofbet.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so you can see yourself becoming rich right before your very eyes.

That’s my gameweek finished: a nice 71 points. Should’ve been 74 though (and an extra transfer) but I picked Vlaar instead of Hutton. No biggie.

Nice one james, that’s a good score. I’m all done for this week too, finished on 73. The good thing is that 9 of those points were from today (Kane plus Dawson coming off my bench), so that should help me out in the rankings against people with Sunday players (I hope!). laugh

What are your plans to prepare for the blank?

      • jamesimmo says:

Good going mate. Yeah that always helps! Only 4 from Kane today means I’ll slip down a bit… ah well. It just means I got an extra-nice ranking for a day! laugh

My plan was to sell Wasi for Haidara and then either sell Baird for Wollscheid or save the FT to get Rose the following week (effectively elding 10 men as Baird doesn’t start anymore) for the DGW along with Eriksen.

        Mr Vlaar ruined that.

Now I’m thinking Wasi —-> Haidara and Vlaar —–> Alderweireld. I fancy some Southampton coverage and realised he should be back. If not I’ll go with Hutton or Wollscheid.

It means no Rose *and* playing 10 men + Baird next gameweek. Bloody Ron! 😉 …unless I take a hit. Which I won’t be doing for defenders.

Sorry for the essay! What are your plans?

        • RedVT says:

Yeah, that Vlaar blunder was horrible james. He cost me points too as I have Hutton, but that red card suspension is the last thing you need to deal with before the blank! I like your Toby idea if he’s ready to play, not so sure on Haidara though as his schedule looks pretty tough. Are there any other options in your price range?

I have 2 FT so my plans as of now are to drop Fabregas and Bellerin for Cazorla and Bertrand. That would mean benching Terry, Hazard, and Kane for the double. Really hoping the transfer market is quiet until after the CL/EL matches though, as I can only just afford to make those moves and would rather not have to do them early!

        • jamesimmo says:

Aye it’s a pain. I was considering Hutton but after what Villa have done to me I don’t know if I could face it… laugh

Yeah, alternatives to Haidara are Michael Dawson / Bellerin / Wollscheid but Haidara’s poor schedule doesn’t worry me too much as i can bench him after the blank in the short term: he, Alder and Bruce seem to rotate quite nicely (playing two each week).

I like those moves. Any particular reason for dropping Bellerin though? Not sure what is injury status is. Cazorla is very consistent at the minute and he’s reaping the benefits of being on penalties! Solid buy.

        • RedVT says:

I’m selling Bellerin as he takes up an Arsenal spot and the only reason he’s in my team in the first place is because of Bertrand’s 3 match suspension. I like Bellerin and think he could do well, but I’d rather have an extra Arsenal midfielder and Bertrand back who looked great before he got himself sent off.

How about Craig Dawson from WBA for 4.4? I just grabbed him for Wisdom and he got a CS for me. Pulis praised him a bunch last week too so I think his spot is safe.

        • jamesimmo says:

Ah that figures. Triple Arsenal attack eh? Against Everton that could pay off big time actually.

Good shout – that’s the Dawson I meant actually aha – not Michael of Hull. I’ll look into it. Their defence does seem quite tight.

Not such a good fixture for the blank is the main detraction for me I think… but, long-term, he’d be a great pick. Cheers!

      NIN says:

Sky Sports’ live commentary says that Leicester have been the better team. Cant say i expected that.

      • Raziel says:

Actually, it’s like Wenger said I think last week or the week before. They don’t look like a team that’s last in the ranking. They actually look quality at times. Much better than Everton. It’s annoying to watch Everton, allt he passes wide and back. Geeeeeezzzzzzz. Baines was the only one with big enough balls to send a few balls towards the other side, Lukaku/Barkley and co missed all those chances up though. Baines looks quality, again. Really don’t understand why he lets kids like Mirallas and Barkley take free kicks. He has the best free kick.

        • NIN says:

Yeah it’s strange that he seems to be giving up the set-pieces all the time. Barkley isn’t even decent at them, never mind good enough to take them ahead of Baines.

      • Raziel says:

In all honesty I fear for Baines. >.<
