Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 29 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

140304130146-michael-owen-bt-sport-horizontal-galleryGW29 is live! And is it ever with a thrilling lunch time kick off at Selhurst park. Palace receive road warriors QPR in what promises to be at least as good as their first encounter, which ended in a goalless draw. That cracker of a game is followed by 4 games including Arsenal versus the Hammers. This promises to be the most interesting fixture from a fantasy perspective. Although the Hammers have only won one in their last 11 so I am not sure how much of a fight they will put up. The Black Cats will be full of confidence against Villa as the law of averages says they are due a win, having only won twice in their last 18. We also see ‘The Championship’ quality Leicester side receive barely good enough to be in the EPL Hull City. But just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, not to worry as we also have the Baggies welcome Stoke. This being the same Baggie side that managed to lose to Villa twice in less than a week. Thankfully we have a late kick off to rescue this Saturday set of fixtures with 19th place Burnley, OH FFS!! playing City in what is sure to be one way traffic. Geez, that was a depressing Saturday. This would be a good day to take the family out and ignore the EPL, but if you just can’t pass up watching then let it us know your thoughts in the chat below inbetween naps.

Luckily Sunday sees a far better set of fixtures, but with your luck this is the day the missus will pick to want to have a nice family day, outdoors. Mourinho’s men take on Southampton in a match-up of the leagues two best defences. The Toffees receive the Toon, in what looks to be a draw-y affair. As Roberto’s side has drawn their last 4 at home and Newcastle are in the ‘whatever’ stage of their season, safe from relegation and too far away from any European spots. We also see LVG welcome could have been Arsenal legend Harry Kane and his Spurs side to Old Trafford. Hopefully we will get to see another master class in the long square pass from United, as we all continue to learn from the wealth of knowledge emanating from the Dutch manager.

In the only game on Monday, Swansea entertains Liverpool. The Merseysiders have accrued 29 out of a possible 33 points in their last 11 games as they continue their mad dash to claim Arsenal’s 4th place trophy.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the woofbet.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

Saturday in full…

Crystal Palace v QPR 12:45pm

Arsenal v West Ham 3pm

Leicester v Hull City 3pm

Sunderland v Aston Villa 3pm

West Brom v Stoke 3pm

Burnley v Man City 5:30pm

Sunday sees three fixtures…

Chelsea v Southampton 1:30pm

Everton v Newcastle 4pm

Man Utd v Spurs 4pm

And we conclude the GW in Wales on Monday

Swansea v Liverpool 8pm

Any early (not to be done yet) transfer thoughts?

Got to hope Eriksen, Clyne and Rose don’t get much tomorrow – I’d be very surprised if Hazard and Kane don’t start anyway.

You’ve been unlucky today there swirly! Foster very close to that cleansheet.

Very impressive (but equally concerning) bench.

Then again: I do have Boyd on mine…

      • theswirly says:

Yeah, I’d have another seven points if Puncheon and Foster had stayed on! Fair play to FF247’s team – they put Puncheon on the bench even though he was at home to QPR. Incredible foresight! I’ve not quite mastered my time machine and so will have to settle with what I’ve got and just keep my fingers crossed through tomorrow.

Sorry to hear you’ve got Boyd warming your bench. Who’d have thought, to be fair, that the Burnley v Man City result would have gone that way though?! As a Villa fan, I am, however, ecstatic that we’ve scored goals AND won a match!

        • jamesimmo says:

Haha yeah I doubted that call too! I’m sure your TARDIS will also be in good working order before the season is out.

Thanks mate, it doesn’t bother me too much, because I wouldn’t have played Boyd in a million years as you suggested: my time machine is also broken.

Pleased for Villa and yourself! Their history alone deserves to stay up.

        • theswirly says:

Cheers, mate! Got everything crossed – the wins against the Baggies and now Sunderland are massive. Hope it’s a sign of things to come under Sherwood.

19 points (after Girouds 2 bonus) and 5 players left: Terry-Ivan-Haz-Eriksen-Kane(c)
    Feeling okay about it…

Throwing away this phone. See you guys again when the next fpl season starts. Ciao

      • Pancho says:

Raz, at least I’m feeling your pain on Pants and PVA! All week I was advising people to play Clyne or Bertrand and I didn’t take my own advise :/

      • gkw says:

Raz, chill out dude. Not missing your Man C defence are you? You’re still in the top 10k, everyone I know got less than 20 points so far. Just need a Chelsea CS and you’ll have green arrows, no?

        • Raziel says:

          @ gkw
Was taking a piss made. I exaggerate and tell people the world is ending. You aren’t supposed to believe a word I’m saying. Tnx for the kind words though. 😉

I see you capped Iva, zomg such a brave choice in in hindsight wise choice. Though, hoping Mourinho doesn’t rest him today, you’ll be getting PANTSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What was the thought behind giving Pantsu the VC? That one is kind of crazy. Hoping for both of us Iva plays, haha. For me because I took a hit to get him, for you because well he’s your cap and the alterantive is Pantsu. smile

        • Raziel says:

          made should be mate………………….aaaaaaaaarghhhhhhhhhhhhh

        • gkw says:

Pants seemed like as safe a choice as any. Villa had only recently started scoring goals again. Also, there are all these other people who have PVA as well as Pants so I thought I might share in the joys of the Sunderland defence smile

        • Raziel says:

Was either Naughton versus Pool away or PvA and Pantsu, sighs. Funny fact about Naughton, dude got 2 or 3 red cards this season, all when he played for Spurs. Dude obviously wasn’t happy there. HAHAHA.

        • Raziel says:

I say that because he played what? 100 minutes for Spurs? Sighs, now I have to check. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Yeah, he played 200 minutes or smt for Spurs this season and received 2 red cards and 1 yellow in that time. Those are almost Joey Barton stats.

      Pancho says:

NIN, I stuck with Kane this week and I am so glad I did! I was debating Giroud, but I probably would have gone with Silva if I had changed it. Now I just need a brace for Kane with 2 assists from Eriksen and a 2-1 win for Spurs smile

      • NIN says:

As a United fan, i hope Spurs blank miserably and United get the three points! Works out fantasy wise too. In reality, there’s more chance of your wishes coming true than mine.

        • Pancho says:

smile Crazy Saturday of football and there’s nothing telling me Sunday won’t be any different!

Wow, that was woeful. And to compound it I just checked my 2 nearest ML rivals – one had Dawson, Schlupp and Bruce, the other Dawson, Schlupp and bloody Heaton on 9! :cuss: :whacky:

    Bigpopz says:

    Evening chaps.

So today was a bit of a damp squib..?
For some reason I Transfered out Cazorla & Giroud for Austin & Hazard ….looks like a dumb move already..?
So far Ive got 11 pts with -4 hit. Also Like most i capt Aguero…grrr..!
Good news is I’ve got 6 left to play, Hazard / Terry / Clyne / Lovren / Eriksen / Kane.
My main concern is my goalkeeper conumdrum..
I’ve got Foster injured but with Myhill as back up… (thought this might come in handy, having two goalies from the same side)
Problem is WBA play City next..
I could do Foster to any 4.8m goalie,
Thinking Ospina ….but is he now nailed in the Prem games..?

    Help..!

      gkw says:

Bigpopz, that was a classic sideways move hit – a dumb move from the moment you did it. Occasionally they pay off, but over the season they cost loads if you make a habit of them. Avoid avoid avoid in future. And don’t bother making any more transfers this GW either.

      inittowinit says:

Hi Bigpopz, doesn’t look great at this point but let’s see how Hazard goes for you tomorrow. Agree with GKW in that I wouldn’t have made those moves either but c’est la vie.

Don’t see any reason why Ospina doesn’t continue but I’d wait on that until we know whether they get a DGW31. It’ll be announced this week if its happening. If it is then yeah go for it as long as Foster is fit as your back up for when he has a blank GW33. They have Palace away that day so could be better but not the worst.
