Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 29 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

140304130146-michael-owen-bt-sport-horizontal-galleryGW29 is live! And is it ever with a thrilling lunch time kick off at Selhurst park. Palace receive road warriors QPR in what promises to be at least as good as their first encounter, which ended in a goalless draw. That cracker of a game is followed by 4 games including Arsenal versus the Hammers. This promises to be the most interesting fixture from a fantasy perspective. Although the Hammers have only won one in their last 11 so I am not sure how much of a fight they will put up. The Black Cats will be full of confidence against Villa as the law of averages says they are due a win, having only won twice in their last 18. We also see ‘The Championship’ quality Leicester side receive barely good enough to be in the EPL Hull City. But just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, not to worry as we also have the Baggies welcome Stoke. This being the same Baggie side that managed to lose to Villa twice in less than a week. Thankfully we have a late kick off to rescue this Saturday set of fixtures with 19th place Burnley, OH FFS!! playing City in what is sure to be one way traffic. Geez, that was a depressing Saturday. This would be a good day to take the family out and ignore the EPL, but if you just can’t pass up watching then let it us know your thoughts in the chat below inbetween naps.

Luckily Sunday sees a far better set of fixtures, but with your luck this is the day the missus will pick to want to have a nice family day, outdoors. Mourinho’s men take on Southampton in a match-up of the leagues two best defences. The Toffees receive the Toon, in what looks to be a draw-y affair. As Roberto’s side has drawn their last 4 at home and Newcastle are in the ‘whatever’ stage of their season, safe from relegation and too far away from any European spots. We also see LVG welcome could have been Arsenal legend Harry Kane and his Spurs side to Old Trafford. Hopefully we will get to see another master class in the long square pass from United, as we all continue to learn from the wealth of knowledge emanating from the Dutch manager.

In the only game on Monday, Swansea entertains Liverpool. The Merseysiders have accrued 29 out of a possible 33 points in their last 11 games as they continue their mad dash to claim Arsenal’s 4th place trophy.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the woofbet.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

Well, what a terrible weekend of FPL! 36 pts with Moreno left to play sad

The question is, do I swap Giroud for Costa? Straight swap with no hits.

Giroud is in form, but Costa looks to have better fixtures.

    What do you all think?

        smile

        you planning on holding Sanchez?

        • Raziel says:

I am. Hope Giroud steps the wrong way out of bed soonish. Dude annoyes me. F-ing Frenchie. Bugger off.

        • inittowinit says:

Rather than stepping INTO the wrong one…

        • TheDreamers says:

I sold Giroud for Austin for the DGW – bad bad move

        • inittowinit says:

Kick myself over Giroud every time he plays. I posted his goals per game ratio in one of the articles a good few weeks back and it was blindingly obvious that he was one to own but just never got round to fitting him in and yes likewise the DGW played a large part in disrupting that. Guessing those stats have only improved since too!

        • Raziel says:

Same, dude is annoying as hell but he always plays up top at one of the best offensive teams in the EPL. So he is bound to score. Look at Austin, imho he’s much better than Giroud but he has very, very, very bad support. Man, such a waste to see Austin play at QPR. I hate it when a team close to relegation doesn’t show up for a fight, they lost the game because of their attitude. Terrible.

        • inittowinit says:

Put it this way Raz – if you were in a relegation scrap would you turn to Taraabt?!!!

Hope Austin gets a decent move in the summer. Somebody like Southampton would do.

        • TheDreamers says:

The thing is Init – Long will get goals with belief from the coach.

Austin will surely move. Chris Heney looks well out of his depth. What he says = “we are done for”

        • inittowinit says:

Need to take a careful look mate as I have him and Caz and need to get Hazard back at some point. Could be a tactical loss actually as my ML rival has Sanchez and not Caz so may lose him and take that chance. I’d rather it was the other way round in all honesty but needs must sometimes. They need to pull their finger out and announce these rearranged games so we can all plan properly.

26 points and this isn’t my worst gw this season even.

    PeterPan says:

Does Costa and Rose in for Rooney and Jones seem good?
Have Kane, Hazard and Zouma from those teams.

Or maybe just Jones out for Rose and see about Costa…?

    • 108.1
      TheDreamers says:

Hi Peter – not sure about those moves.

Rooney is doing well and Spurs cant keep a CS to save their lives

      • inittowinit says:

Agreed, I wouldn’t be doing those Peter. For those exact reasons and the fact that Costa is 2 yellows away from a 2 game ban. I’d look at him again closer to his DGW and see how the land lies then in relation to that. You can see it happening now – he’ll be on 9 going into it and it’ll end up being a single game-week for him.

        • DMC says:

Hey there init, isn’t Costa on 7 YC right now being 3 not 2 cards away from that 2 match ban?
That really worries me, alongside with 9 YC Cesc, as I was planning to get them both in at some point and (re) set my team to Haz-Fab-Costa’s run in…
          Thx.

        • inittowinit says:

Pretty sure it’s 8. I’ll double check for you though.

        • DMC says:

I see…wasn’t aware that those counted! Thank you very much!
That also means Ivanovic is now on 7!

        • Albertini says:

However this 10 yc limit applies only until GW32 (2nd Sunday of April) afterwards it goes to 15 until the end of the season.
