Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 3 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15
The deadline bell has rung, your team has been decided, your skipper chosen and there’s nothing else you can do about it, except sit back and hope you’ve selected well. All the matches take place at the weekend, no Monday night football this week and we kick off as Burnley entertain local rivals and current comedy outfit, Manchester United. Will the Red Devil’s new Angel inspire the team to a turnaround or will memories of Milton Keynes come back to haunt them? Five 3pm kick offs follow, while the early evening game takes place at Goodison as Everton host Chelsea. Three Sunday games follow, culminating with Leicester vs Arsenal.
Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.
Good luck for GW3 from all at FF247!

Hey guys, team is scoring average again. Ranked like 700k which is disappointing. Should I take a large hit or play wildcard. Players like. Mutch, Caulker, Rooney and Mata need to go. Thoughts ? Thanks
Fixture wise I’m still in no hurry to let go of rooney Mata, ddg. My team however also has a lot of Chelsea coverage. I should be set for a few more gw’s.
Sorry phone is lagging. Only problem with your team seems to be the lack of Chelsea coverage. Don’t know man, choice is yours.
Hearing Falcao to City might be closer than him going to Madrid.. Who would you choose between him and Aguero?!
I don’t believe those rumours Shadow. Didn’t Falcao tweet earlier today that he was going to Madrid, but deleted the tweet right after?
Evening chaps.
Any thoughts on my team?
I’d initially intended on Wildcarding this week but not sure it’s worth it. I’m losing the love for Terry. It seems to be more Cahill that is getting forward for corners and making the last ditch tackles etc. Not to say that I’m considering Cahill. Not sure either is worth it. Thinking maybe taking him down to a 4.5/5.0m and then seeing what I could do with the cash. Any advice appreciated. Thanks
Hi chins. Just so you know, I’ve moved to the states so maybe you’ll get some company at night (my wifi connection is awful, so maybe not!)
You’re team is good, I don’t think you need to wildcard. Ivanovic is obviously the Chelsea defender to go with. Also, I’d rather have Pieters and Taylor over Begovic and Fabianski as they’re cheaper and have assist and bonus point potential.
Tekno, Great news mate! I look forward to introducing you to the proper Americans (and Canadians), the Asia early birds and the UK bedwetters.
Cheers for the advice. Although that looks like a few changes to me. Hmm,…….. That WC is tempting.
Hi
I would not wild card, you have a good team and with the internationals next week I would wait and see until say GW5
Ivanovic is the Chelsea defender but expensive, cheaper options with generally good upcoming fixtures are Pieters, Janmaart with Taylor the lowest at 4.5
Thanks Musungu – I appreciate that.
How’s your team looking? You should get it linked so we can all have a peak!
Hey partner, just before I head off will give you some great singles tips! First off, don’t go trawling around bars, it’s too seedy…
Secondly, that team does not look like it’s in need of WC attention! But some pointers:
– I too am getting annoyed with Terry. Ivanovic is certainly looking like being worth the extra cash. He won’t score every game of course, but I said that after the first one and then he followed it up with a goal and assist in the two subsequent games. Annoying, as Terry got 3 in pre-season, but worth the switch I think.
– Hutton has ghastly fixtures now, as I’m sure you’re aware of. Last priority though as you have everyone else playing so it’s doubtful you’ll need him over the next few GWs bar injuries.
– Jelly doesn’t do anything for me, but can see why people go for him.
– I’m still unsure whether or not to keep Rooney. He did look energetic enough today at least, but nothing fell for him at all and had no real chances. Hoping HGV can use the time between now and next GW to really get some cohesiveness in the squad, which will hopefully be bolstered further by then and also have some injured players back. Their fixtures are still good for a few GWs so probably worth hanging onto him.
The rest looks great to me. See you’ve gone for our keeper rotation in your singles too, paying off nicely so far
Thanks partner!!
I agree with you on Jelly. It was a moment of panic when I saw Bojangles price dropping! Fixtures looked ok so in he went.
Good call on Hutton – I actually hadn’t realized!!
Chins
Hi mate. The first replacement I would look at for Terry is Lovren of Liverpool. A huge threat at set plays and Liverpool have a lot of winnable fixtures shortly. You’d save a million there.
Think your squad is in very good shape. WC a waste at this stage I think.
Gee, it’s completely dead on here and only 11 pm too. Americanos, I understand your frustration.
Ahoy! Not American but Canadian, lets keep it lively!
My poo calls of the week..
Giving Rooney the armband
Transferring out pieters based on his fixture and my need to field 3 defense
Well, I gave Aguero the armband and has Pieters as 3rd sub so we’re kinda in the same boat here.
Hi Maple eh.
How are you eh?
Rooney the armband eh. Me too. And I think there we others eh.
Hows your team looking eh?
*Free lesson for all in how to talk Canadian. eh.
I’ve gone against my personal rule and made an early transfer, sent mata out for Dyer. Kind of knee jerk but thinking I want to wildcard, so just jumped right in. Haven’t played it yet, but seriously considering it.. You?
Activated my wildcard earlier today. Already changed like half my team. Not really sure if Dyer is a good pick long term…
Maple/tekno
Dyer is a very good choice IMO. Look at his numbers the past couple of seasons. Very good value for s price I think and almost always guaranteed his place.
Only reason I don’t have him (with a hint of sadness) is because I can’t do without Sigurdsson from Swans and don’t want to double up. Although that may change if his form keeps up . . . .
Hey lads,
How’s the week going for you?
I scored decent with captaining Rooney I guess. I’ve wildcarded to rod my team of united. How’s it looking?
Before and after.
Wow, I’m wildcarding too, and the only difference in our starters is that you have Coloccini while I have Pieters. Maybe get in Chester instead of doubling up on Newcastle? They’re knocked out of Europe if I remember correctly, so he’s a great option at 4.5 (or is it 4.6 :/)
Tekno, do you not think Chester might face some time out now they’ve signed Dawson?
They have a lot of comp at the back now. Bruce will probably be 5th choice now I think. Chester 4th?
What do people think about Pelle so far? Is he worth buying?
Dave
I haven’t seen much of Southampton except for brief highlights but I think that it is safe to assume he is at least first choice striker and Southampton do have some appealing matches ahead. Apparently he scored a legitimate goal yesterday which was ruled out (although I haven’t yet seen it to comment properly).
Could prove great value for £7.5M. Who are you trying to replace?
