Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 3 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Photo 23-11-2013 11 44 40The deadline bell has rung, your team has been decided, your skipper chosen and there’s nothing else you can do about it, except sit back and hope you’ve selected well. All the matches take place at the weekend, no Monday night football this week and we kick off as Burnley entertain local rivals and current comedy outfit, Manchester United. Will the Red Devil’s new Angel inspire the team to a turnaround or will memories of Milton Keynes come back to haunt them? Five 3pm kick offs follow, while the early evening game takes place at Goodison as Everton host Chelsea. Three Sunday games follow, culminating with Leicester vs Arsenal.

    This is my team. Any suggestions what areas to fix first? I’m thinking the defense, keeping all the United coverage if I do aim at defense since I only have 1ft and don’t see the point in taking a hit.

      Dummett is the obvious transfer out for me… Have u got any spare cash to upgrade..?
      I haven’t got your patients to keep Man Utd cover, major surgury needed before they get anywhere near there best.
      I Got my WC active …. Plan to Freshen things up a bit..!

      • QPR at home, I’d be crazy to sell their players. Maybe the 2 weeks off will freshen them up. 😉

        ALso, when they come back Blind and Rojo will be in the team, so they won’t have to play the long ball all the time. Really don’t know what they’re gonna do with Mata and Di Maria though… >.<

          Btw won’t they all be playing for there respective countries over the next two weeks…
          Not exactly 2 weeks off.
          I feel for LVG, he’s got a massive job to do at Utd ,
          I don’t think they quite get his philosophy at the moment,
          3 at the back just ain’t working, & watching them recently, they look terrified at making any mistakes, cus this guy sounds ruthless…
          Maybe like you said earlier, they’ll start to turn things around with a few more additions, but EPL is an unforgiving league, teams sense man Utd are weak & punishing every mistake they make.

        • Jones, Smalling, Blackett and Evans are just not United material. The defense is pathetic. They are freaking worse than the Dutch defense during the WC.

          I must say, United also have been rather unlucky. I’ve seen Arsenal (apart from today) win these type of games earlier on. I think if you give van Gaal the time it will come good. I just really don’t like the defense and the midfield (Fletcher, Cleverly and so on).

          It’s like a supergood goalie, Mata, Rooney, RvP and Di Maria are from another planet and the rest is still supposed to be in kindergarten.

          The Thing is Sir Alex Ferguson won the premiership with a worst team than what LVG got.
          Cleaverly, Fletcher, smalling, evans…..
          They where all playing, without Mata & Di Maria …
          They where still crap players then, but Fergie got them believing….?

        • That was probably one of RvP’s best season plus they had coach/trainer in Fergie which has been at the club since the 90’s? Kind of different from a manager that just became third with the Netherlands and is training them for 2 monhts or less.

        • Also, iirc their defense was more solid back then with him Vidic – Ferdinand – Evra.

    • How does van Aanholt versus Spurs make sense? The rest I get, though I fear something bad is going to happen at Chelsea… bad in the sense that Mou is going to sacrifice 1 defender… just not sure which…

      Anyone seen the Chelsea game? Which defender made the most errors? I hope not terry. sad
      Maybe Iva is so focussed on going forward that he forgot his defending task? Luis coming on also tells a lot. If anyone is going to be dropped than who? Azpi, Cahill, Terry or Iva? Aaah yes, I heard something during the game but wasn’t watching. Fabregas was dissing ummmm Kevin Mirallas, looking at the back of his shirt to see who he was and frown? Or smt?

      Team looks solid by the way. Myhill second goalie? Everybody was against Stoke defense after 2 gw’s and now you’re going all out on Stoke?

        I like van Aanholt pace & attacking threat plus spurs didn’t look all that today as pool battered them 3-0
        Surly Mourinho won’t drop Ivan, he’s a monster defending & attacking.
        I’ve decided to just stick with 1 solid goalie all season & Bego is top quality for 5m, plus the amount of people on here who’ve got 2 rotating goalies that wished they played the other goalie, blah blah blah… I just Can’t be doing with the extra headache…!

        • Hmmm, Sunderland are not Pool though. But you’re right, I was thinking of getting him but later.

    • Sig is in great form I’ve know but maybe play Zaha over him just a thought !

        Zaha is there to rotate with Naismith ..
        Trying to have the flexibility to switch from 3-4-3 to 3-5-2 if needed..!

        The only I would do (if this was my team) – I’d play Rooney or even Ballo instead of Kun…
        UTD & Pool have a far better schedule ahead…City plays Ars & Che in their next two games…
        UTD look poor, I know…but – they gotta star scoring sometime, no ?!

        • BigPopz – private life has messed up my FPL season start, mate…
          Missed round1 and left my team on “autopick”…
          Used my WC in round 2 !
          Did a -16 in round 3 (that will tell you how successful my WC was)…
          Being ranked at 2,8mil & having no idea what to do with my team…
          Can’t get any worse than this, can it ?!

        • Geeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, really need to stop with overusing certain words. Doing several things at the same time and thus not noticing I’ve been using the same word… 2,3 or even 4 times. Before, I used ”anyway” ten times. This time I overused the word ”mate” which tends to get kind of creepy after the 3rd time you say it. Can’t take it back though HL, guess you’re a mate times 3 in my last piece. 😉
