Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 3 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Photo 23-11-2013 11 44 40The deadline bell has rung, your team has been decided, your skipper chosen and there’s nothing else you can do about it, except sit back and hope you’ve selected well. All the matches take place at the weekend, no Monday night football this week and we kick off as Burnley entertain local rivals and current comedy outfit, Manchester United. Will the Red Devil’s new Angel inspire the team to a turnaround or will memories of Milton Keynes come back to haunt them? Five 3pm kick offs follow, while the early evening game takes place at Goodison as Everton host Chelsea. Three Sunday games follow, culminating with Leicester vs Arsenal.

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck for GW3 from all at FF247!

So what do you guys reckon? Is it the right time to offload Rooney?

      Dangermouse says:

      Depends who for.
      For Aguero… YES! smile

      • monty(CAZ DAZ) says:

What happens if I am already an Aguero owner? Say Diego Costa?? If he features surely next week.

        • Dangermouse says:

I’d sell him for Costa yeah… Think too many people sold him prematurely this week… theres the international break, he’ll likely be back then and will score more than Roonpig.

      Raziel says:

Nope. Though the armband doesn’t help him. Think RvP will do better this season.

      RedVT says:

I think I’m ready to get rid of him monty. With Aguero starting today and Liverpool through their tough opening fixtures I think it’s time to bring in either Aguero or Sturridge. As long as Costa is fit for GW4 it’s gonna be Rooney to make way I think.

      • monty(CAZ DAZ) says:

Will you say the same to a person if he does have Sterling as a Pool cover and Aguero? No Costa though !! Got rid of him this week for Sergio. Is it necessary to get him back?

P.S. Fabregas is already in there.

        • RedVT says:

Hmm, I don’t know monty. I’d have to see how the matches go this weekend and the international break to assess injuries, etc. But I have Sterling and I’d still like to get Sturridge in. With Mad Mario in the mix and a decent run of fixtures there’s bound to be some goals in that team and Sterling and Sturridge will get their share.

I might lean towards Aguero though just because I sold Dzeko for Adebayor this week and currently don’t currently have any city Coverage. Silva is looking nice from GW6 on too.

I think Costa if he’s healthy is someone you’d want, but Fabgregas is good cover too. It’s tough to say, there are so many good players and we can’t have them all, ha!

        • monty(CAZ DAZ) says:

Cheers mate !! That’s good enough for me. Let’s see how this week goes first.

      RITZ says:

I have a feeling Aguero will be a must have after today’s game, even though they have tough fixtures ahead!

So for me the question is wether to offload Rooney or Costa

    • 37.5

      Monty

After the internationals, all being well, I plan to bring back Costa for him.

Man Utd are just in such a weak period just now. Don’t see them improving greatly come the next GW.

      Still a while away though.

      • monty(CAZ DAZ) says:

Well they did play some good high balls but still considering the end product, they were poor. De maria has a real good effect on the game for Utd. Mata-Poor. Rooney-not up to the mark. RVP-got the one good chance but still did not look completely fit.

    TJ says:

De Gea clean sheet on one team, not a bad start. Will have to decide what to do with Mata if he’s out for a while on my other team though. Perhaps di Maria will play CAM.

  3. 39
    RITZ says:

FT: Burnley 0-0 Man Utd, big away point for United away to a relegation contender.

    Calvin Clyne says:

Non-Rooney-captainers rejoice, good chance for you to make up ground / pull ahead now.

      Hammer says:

Even one goal from Jovetic will help me pull away smile

      jasprit says:

knew this would happen. that is why shifted him out for aguero and kept costa.

      • Raziel says:

YOU TOLD ME TO GET DUMMET!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not everythying can be forseen, just that shit that helps you out. AAAAAAARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😛

        • jasprit says:

          sorry raz sad

but come on… NO ONE saw this coming.
till yesterday the question was not whether he will play or not, it was whether newcastle will keep a cs or not.

        • EBC says:

The Newcastle fans have been screaming for Haidara for a while, they don’t seem to rate Dummett.

        • Raziel says:

It doesn’t make you less ofa terrible person Jasprit, last week Cookie this week it is you. HAHA. 😛

          Next time, I’ll listen to me… 😉

On that note, I hold nothing against ya mate. I make the decision in the end, if people can convince that’s my thing. I’m the last man to pull the trigger. Told ”Cookie” the same thing, he convinced me to pick Pelle over Jovetic last week, HAHAHA. 😛

        • Calvin Clyne says:

Raz if he had played and got you a clean sheet you wouldn’t be going YOU TOLD ME TO GET DUMMET!!!!!!!!!!!! THAAAANNNKK YOOOOUUUU!!!!! You get advice from here but the decision is yours 😛

For what it’s worth I think all 4.0 choices are dodgy and the security offered by 4.5s is definitely worth the extra 0.5.

        • Raziel says:

          @ Calvin
Look at my explanation above, of course it’s not someone else’s fault. Just like ranting. 😉

        • Andy says:

Yeah I’m always going to pay that extra .5 for a guaranteed starter, took Colo over Dummett this week although I am surprised that Dummett doesn’t start, I think he’s a victim of Newcastle’s lack of goals as Haidara offers more going forward.

    TheDreamers says:

So did anyone of united play well?

      monty(CAZ DAZ) says:

Dunno but Blackett impressed me with some of his high ball passed. Most of the time he was shite though. De Maria did get off to a good start.

      • monty(CAZ DAZ) says:

        *passes

      • Raziel says:

Terrible defending though. I don’t care about high balls being passed. >.<

        • monty(CAZ DAZ) says:

Well there’s still a level of being shite and I reckon Evans was shiter than Blackett.

        • Raziel says:

Mehehe, both were supershite. I also think Young and Valencia are shite. And Fletcher. laugh TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTF is van Gaal thinking, stubborn. With Holland if 3-5-2 didn’t work in the second half they always played 4-3-3 or other systems. FFS, why can’t United players deliver it? Something lacking at youth system. SHite, it’s not like the Dutches had more time.

        • monty(CAZ DAZ) says:

I guess they will be better if Shaw and Rafael comes back. Carrick as well !!
          DDG,Rafael,Jones,Rojo,Shaw,Carrick,Fletcher,ADM,Mata,Roon,RVP

Nothing’s wrong with the squad. Decent enough IMO.

        • monty(CAZ DAZ) says:

Btw,You spend 230M over 2 seasons. And have Mata, Di Maria, Roon, RVP all who deliver excellent corners.

But guess what, Young and Anderson take all your corners.
          LVG – mastermind tactician? Seriously?

        • Calvin Clyne says:

When everyone’s fit we will have a decent enough squad Monty, but we’re still crying out for another CB if you ask me. And I think Rafael’s turd!

    • 41.2
      Rajey says:

Yea ADM had a decent game while he was on. Blackett was our only solid defender. Rooney worked hard nothing came off for him today though. Rest of the team very very pathetic, especially RVP.

      Odd1Out says:

      Simple answer – no!

    hammers says:

    No dummet no clichy. Fuck

That was a wild card well played!

    Thank god aguero starts
