Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 31 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 20GW31 is live! Finally a lunch time kick off worth talking about. The Gunners welcome in the Merseysiders in what promises to be the last visit for several Liverpool players, Sterling ($), Gerrard (age,) and Glen Johnson (errrr) to the Emirates wearing “The Reds” kit. Well Stevie will actually watch from the stands we guess, with his stamp brother in arms Skrtel, so he won’t get one last chance to step on the hallowed ground that Wenger built. That fine looking fixture is followed by five three o’clock games. Not sure there is anything worth getting excited in that lot about. Perhaps if you went hard with double game-week players, you might be interested in seeing if any of your players have the game of their lives and produce more than 2 points. In the last fixture of the day we see Chelsea welcome in the Potters. This will be a chance for the Chelsea defence to redeem itself and show that they are not as shaky as they have appeared recently. Surely they can’t look as old and slow versus something older and slower in Peter Crouch, but nothing would surprise us with the way they have been defending.

Sunday sees the arrival of the English press golden boy Harry (greatest thing since Raheem Sterling) take the pitch against a Burnley side, that will surely be like lambs to slaughter. Long live the King! At least until the press burns him at the stake. In the other fixture we get a glimpse into the big derby somewhere up North. Known as the Tyne-Wear derby to locals and one really bad team vs one very average team to the rest of us.

On the third straight day of action, the temporary champions Manchester City visit Selhurst Park. With the Silver Fox having Palace all but safe from relegation, hopefully he will go for the win and turn this Monday night affair into an open game.

We finish it off with DGW standouts Aston Villa and QPR on Tuesday. Hopefully this will be the last time we will be subjected to a double with two teams who are MLS calibre.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the woofbet.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

  1. There’s been some amazing goals this weekend.

  2. Advocaat doing well with Sunderland by the way. I think I might keep both PvA and Pantsu. They have a DGW in GW37. smile

  3. Those that have Austin, you selling or keeping him? Chelsea next followed by a blank week.

    • He’s gonna be sold. Was thinking of getting Rooney. But Rooney will also be replaced in a few gameweeks, plus he has City and Chelsea next. Though, in all honesty. United could score 5 versus City. laugh

      • I did Sanchez to downing to allow Austin to Costa so that didn’t really come off now did it.

Rooney not scoring for fun though either.

        • Well, he’s doing much better now he’s upfront. But yeah, was thinking the same. Sighs. Will have to wait till the end of the week to decide. City and Chelsea could bring a lot of goals though.

        • RvP and Falcao out is a blessing for Rooney. He’d be with the best scorers if he was upfront like that the entire season.

        • Dreams, if it makes you feel any better you can still buy Costa and bench him. :big-lol:

  4. Screw FPL, where’s Tommy Tilt, high 5 matey laugh

  5. Morning all how are we all doing already thinking about nk GW thinking Austin out Gomis in for 2 GW any thoughts

    • Morning Silver, I’m considering that very same move. Therefore it’s probably a bad idea 😉

      • Hey how are we Kop I’m liking the Gomis move but just for 2 GW hope for a big score this GW although I don’t want Kun to do to well even if I do have him not many GW left so every few points help

    • Morning Silvers. If you have no other pressing issues then it could be a good move, once getting him in and out doesn’t clash with future moves.

      • How are we NIN good to see your still going well I Im only looking ahead 3GW Gomis fits well over nk 2 I will keep an eye on Costa for GW 34 I have a problem with Naughton but can hold him for a bit my aim is to try & finish top 5k if I’m lucky

        • Not bad mate, cheers. If you’ve not got much else that needs doing then go for it. I’d like to move Austin on myself but i’ve got defensive problems, so might just sort that first.

  6. Any ideas what to do do with this team? Got a few problems as usual. Namely Forster, Haidara, Cameron, Marney and Austin. I can see the sense in making 0, 1, or 2 transfers this week. What would you do?
    1FT, 3.5m in the kitty.

    • Morning NIN,

From what I can see you have 4 outfield players who are unlikely to feature in GW33 as well as no keeper. There’s s case to be made for going without a keeper as you’ll likely play Ospina every other week.
I’d look at doing something with Haidara and Marney ahead of GW33 as neither will play again this season.

      • Cheers Kop. What would you say to taking a hit for Ki&Bertrand/Clyne in for Marney&Haidara? Could play Ki this week ahead of Austin, then buy Davis next GW for Forster. I’d rather not take a hit at this stage of the season but my squad is in need of refreshing, big time.

        • Ki’s form is great and Swansea have some great fixtures so that makes sense. As does a Saints defender.

        • That sounds like a good plan Nin i think

        • Thanks Kop/Wafflez. The -4 sounds appealing now but i’ll mull it over a bit more.

        • Morning NIN, I wouldnt take a hit in your position since you have a good first XI for GW32 and see no need for that. I’d do Forster-»Davis (and play him against Hull, ahead of Ospina against Burnley) to sort the no-GW33-keeper and add money to your kitty in the process. That would give you better options for the BGW33/DGW34.

        • Thanks DMC. Ideally i’d like to avoid a hit but i’m not sure that that bench can be carried for much longer. I suppose, i could do nothing this week then get Davis&Bertrand in next week. That means no Southampton players this week, though. Could also buy Mane this week for Marney and leave it at that. Man, i’m well confused as to what to do this week laugh

    • Hey NIN I would definitely put Sou def & possibly Davis in Also Bellerin is worth considering I’m putting Ki Sung in cheap option as you know Gomis for me for Austin but was going Costa I will keep an on this if he dosnt make it for DGW it will be Fab & Haz for me good luck mate

      • Yep. Southampton defence is a must. Cheers Silvers and good luck to you too.
