Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is optimistic over the niggle Divock Origi suffered in the 2-1 victory over Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.
The striker, who had bagged four goals in his last three games prior to coming off the bench at Dean Court, was introduced on 76 minutes for Roberto Firmino.
He seemed to signal an issue with his back, and will be assessed by the club’s medical team ahead of the Merseyside Derby with Everton at Anfield.

Origi, who turns 21 on Monday, was in fine form in Liverpool’s 5-4 aggregate win over Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League quarter-finals and he will be determined to line up against Villarreal in the next round.

Klopp explained: “He got a knock on his back, I think. I asked him after the game and he said it was a little knock in the back and hopefully it’s not serious.”
On 67 minutes, Mamadou Sakho had to replace Kolo Toure and the Reds boss believes the centre-back’s problem to be “a little more serious.”
“It’s the muscle. I’m not sure if it’s cramp or more but in the last few months Kolo had absolutely no issue with his muscles so hopefully it’s not a big thing,” Klopp said.
