    Keeping or dropping?
    I think getting an Arsenal/United defender would work out better.

    • Keeping Baines for rest of season. Everton are on a good run and even vs City they could surprise? But having Arsenal cover makes sense if Koscielny comes back fit for fight. United…hmmmmm…who knows what they are capable of?!?

      • GW36 and DGW37 for ManUtd.

        I think Rooney/Mata and Evra would be the best combination. Im thinking of doing Coleman>Evra this GW, but it could just be a sideways premature move.

        • Would wait till after the Everton game perhaps to do Coleman –> Evra. But your plan sounds good. Taking advantage of their DGW. Might do something similar myself! Rooney is out of the equation so maybe…maybe Welbeck. Time will tell! 😉

    • The B – not a clue yet – have Baines. Could come down to Aguero and how he does

      • what united defender is 100% nailed other than Evra?

        • De Gea! Vidic should in principle be nailed as well but with the return of Evans he may be benched for all we know!?

        • I think Jones is pretty nailed. Has been playing full games consistently and usually takes a bit of a control in the midfield as well, so he does move forward.

    • I’ll be getting an Arsenal defender the week after next B, however, remain convinced that United should not be trusted, especially for defence.

      City / Arsenal / Chelsea backline will be the way forwards from here I think..

  3. Bit of an odd question for you all but just starting to think ahead. As this is our first season (as such!), what would you like to see added next season to the site. I’m thinking –

    Different articles?
    Different features?
    Different layout?

    Anything really, just tell us what you think. Not promising anything but it’s your site as much as ours so please feel free to post suggestions.

    • This is already one hell of a complete website where so much info is available.
      Thinking a sort of automatic updated chat bar? I have to press update to see when people post or reply. Sometimes I forget to do so and do not see the reply till the morning after.

      • Definitely like the auto refresh idea. What about a way to have a ‘profile’ as such, where you can click on your previous posts? Just thinking that would be a good shortcut so that you don’t have to hunt through the threads for your post if you come back to the site after a few hours. Everything else is awesome, though – this site is my lifeline for fantasy footy. Brilliant work!

    • 1. I dont know if this feature can be added or not, but a live score update would be really nice. I dont know if that is too much to ask for, because i really dont know crap about website management.
      But a box on the bottom left where live scores are shown would be a great thing. I dont think any other fantasy forums have such things, and it could be a unique thing of our own.

      2. Team preview. You might need to change things in the profile pages of users, where we are allowed to enter our current team playing this GW. I do like the team linking thing, but it would be more convenient if our team shows up just below our user name and above the time of post in italics or something. For instance:
      “inittowinit
      Mannone, Azpi, Evra, Coleman, … … …
      April 12 .. .. .. ”
      So basically, we just input our team ourselves and update it weekly.
      But i know there will be people like BobBills who will write an essay in that space and feck up the purpose, or people like Raz who will say shite about Mirallas and delufu to reinforce the fact (which has been reinforced a million times already) that they are selfish players.

      Thats all i can think of. Not sure if they are practical, but definitely worth thinking about? smile

    • Hey innit how about some interviews with regular and/or successful managers??? I don’t necessarily mean about how they go about the FF game as most ‘pro’ fantasists’ tend to have a very similar formula,but what about interviews that look a bit more about the individuals,and a delve into their personalities behind the gravatars and forum ramblings???? smile Or what about a set of say 20 questions ie favourite sporting memory etc or even more random ones,that are asked every week but to a different person each week???
      Keep up the good work guys you’ve done a fantastic job in your debut year,lets hope its the first of many!! smile

    • Init – similar prob to Kung. Really like the forum. Think there is plenty of articles etc.

      When you click the keep updated (only did it the once), got emails of every single post….

      some means of seeing if updates to the post without refreshing – not terrible on pc but on iphone its a bit of a pain scrolling up

      • +1 to this, I want an email to say if someone replied to a comment I made, but not an email for every post.

    • It’s a brilliant website init, my thought would be to develop some sort of notification bar, with a drop down list of any recent ‘replies’ or similar interactions that you’ve made.

      Maybe an email reminder to tell you if you have any you haven’t checked after, say, an hours time. It would be very very very hard to design, program and integrate in to the current set up.

      Like I said,great website mate, not much more you can do!

    • i think an app would be really useful for iphone and ipad – then there could be notifercations about follow-up comments which would be extremely helpful in my opinion.

      also i think maybe some sort of java script thingy or something like that would be cool. Maybe something like top players in form rolling allong the side???
      for instance, “Gerard has scored 3 goals in his last 4 games” accompanyed by a picture of gerard, then, after 15 secconds it rolls onto the next picture “Ozil assisted …” ect,ect…
      it’d be really hard to keep that updated though…

      oh, and maybe you could make a following thingy?
      so if there’s a comenyer you like you could get updates every 5 posts or something?
      that one could get annoying though…

      i also like the auto updateing comments thingy, but that’d be hard to do on wordpress right?

      oh, and maybe an iterview with the ff247 manager of the month winner, and season likewise.
      to be honest more interwiews in general as they’re top draw here!!

      but to be honest, all of this would only improve the site a bit, it’s already a fantastic site as it is!!! smile

      The Live Chat or Rolling Chat as I call it is definitely on my wish list also and was from Day 1 but it depends on our software / host I guess. I shall certainly ask the question.

      Loving the regulars profile ‘interview / general stuff’ idea suggested by Peaky. I think that’s a winner.

      I wasn’t aware of the e-mail issue. I’ve never actually used the function and just assumed it worked. Obviously not! It should and it will. We DID have a search button that kind of helped in finding your posts and replies but it seems to have disappeared!

      Thank you for the replies again. We will be reviewing the lot at the end of the season and we will try and implement what is practical and workable.

      Bit surprised nobody mentioned doing a ‘FF247 Fantasy Team’ Article to be honest, like FFC used to do? That seemed to be a massive loss when it stopped and it was something we were considering for next season.

        Oh, by the way, taboo question here perhaps: but what happened with the whole FFC breakdown / split off? The website still remains so I see…

      • Init, hello mate. Personally I would love to see a ‘FF247’ team, it was a one of the highlights of the FFC website for me. One step further on this (and I’m not sure if it would work) would be making it interactive; maybe using a voting system? If it is not possible a FF247 team would be a great addition to the site. Keep up the great work boys smile

        I do agree with NZ though on making it more interactive or least more people to have the right to vote/choose the FF247 Team – a I really don’t like the idea of 1 single person running it 😉 …

        p.s. maybe the Top20 in the FF247 League come end of this season to be a part of it ?!?!

      • Hey Innit – I think the “FF 247 team” is a great idea. As some has mentioned I think that article was the reason why FFC was so “successful”.
        Also, can you make it so we can post pictures in the comments? Ive seen some other sites who have this possibility and it makes it easier to rate teams etc.

    • Init – here is a revenue idea for u.

      I paid for fpl app last year. It was late. This year – none or so late.

      Get an app for fpl that links to this website.

      Remember. This is opportunities to improve. From a 97% starting position.

      • Dreamers I looked at that app and thought it was a waste of time to be honest as the FPL site itself worked just fine on mobile via Safari. We did discuss a site App initially but decided time-wise to just do the site but nothings out of the question going forward of course.

        • Init – as a revenue stream, you do have an unique position. It’s not often u have the target audience advising you what they will pay for. That’s what I’m getting at.

        • Hi init – I was more talking about an app that just linked into scores. It might be just me but trying to limit the clicks or password entries.

    • A mobile site would be good. I find it data intensive amd slow to load at the moment.

      • EBC I get your point totally but I was quite insistent from the start, and I think we were all in agreement, that the mobile sites we had seen, looked and worked very poorly to be honest. It’s personal preference I guess but I always convert to ‘desktop site’ when on stuff like the BBC Sport site as it is easier to navigate, in my opinion. I’ve never had any issues with data or it being slow to load as a result but if you have and it’s a common problem then it’s definitely something we need to look at.

    • As other feedback, this is a great site. The articles are great, I just hope you can keep them going as I really don’t know where you get the time. I really like having the regular weekly articles as it helps me with transfer planning and those ad hoc ones especially when we have international breaks. The interviews were great too.

    Chose Mirallas over Puncheon at the last moment of deadline

    • I had a bad day at the FF office yesterday as well, took a 4 point hit on Adebayor (penalty miss) and Ramsey (played 113 minutes in the cup semi and now has to be seen as a major doubt for the West Ham game), to top it all off my brother went above me in the Classic league which is just the horror of horror’s for me with Fantasy.

      • Hi Andy – never good when the brother goes past you. You think Ramsey is a doubt because he played so long or did something happen to him?

        • Simply because he played so long, Arsene never likes to over use his players when they return from injury, I remember earlier this season when he played Bendtner ahead of Walcott when he’d just overcame an injury. I do have Ivan the terrible as my first sub though.

        • Ramsey looked fine yesterday and he played 114mins !
          Think he can be considered a safe bet for the first 11…

      • Hope not. Wish I made the transfer Zab to Marriappa and Sturridge to Kun if that did happen. >.<

        On that note, Sturridge having history at City, hope he's gonna be amazing today.

    • Big news already is Kompany may be out, I think Kun will only get ten minutes today.

      • Direct rival was smart enough to cap Yaya, wish I was as smart. F-ing Lukaku. Sighs. Falling in the same trap over and over again. Kompany not starting meaning that all the people that capped Suarez will have a heavenly day.

        • This GW’s far from over yet Raz, I’ve Lukaku as (c) and I’m still confident of a good score against Palace.

        • I fear for a Yaya superscore though. sad

        • I’m in the exact same situation Raz: the guy just below me in our duel for the £60 spot has capped Yaya, I know we both own him but I want him to stay quiet, especially vs Liverpool today.

        • I don’t own him at all so won’t even be getting half my rival’s points on him. Need him to fail badly! Actually hope Kun gets good game time and hopefully takes over penalty duties again as that’s a huge source of free points for Yaya.

          Got 9 points for my 3 Everton guys yday, and that’s with a captain thrown in there too. Hopefully the remaining games will go better!
