Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 36 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 36GW36 is live! Just lovely, a lunch time kick-off once again. This time we will see the Black Cats who are of course fighting for survival as their norm. Lucky for them they face a Toffee side that will probably be feeling the sting after getting the life sucked out of them, after allowing Tom Cleverley a goal. Not many teams can lay claim to that particular feat. At 3pm we have 5 games kicking-off simultaneously. This lot of games are more about who will stave off relegation and who will win that unwanted Europa League spot. Sherwood will look to nail the Hammers down with the Belgian beast. Hull City needing a win will be looking to Bruce up the slow dying Clarets. Leicester will be trying to devil-ishy outfox the Saints in a game they badly need 3 points from. Newcastle who have lost 8 on the bounce will be facing a team in West Brom who are willing to relinquish the ball. So basically a team who wants to defend vs a team who can’t string two passes together. Could be a frustrating afternoon for both sides. In the last of the 3pm games, Kane and his mates will be looking to stoke a fire when they visit the Britannia after a couple of games of struggling for wins. In the late game we see a meeting of two great looking managers as Pardew squares off with LVG. It should be interesting to see how the Silver Fox deals with the high possession non scoring game plan LVG seems to be employing.

On Sunday we have two fixtures. Former champs Manchester City look to put pressure on Chelsea by closing to within 10 points (No one tell them it’s over) and QPR will probably find it worthwhile to help them along. In Sunday’s late game, Liverpool will be hoping that Chelsea play a weaker side as they look to close the gap on the sloth like moving United.

The game-week finishes off with Arsenal hosting the Swans. This should be an emotional affair as Arsenal are inching closer to finishing higher than 4th place. We congratulate them in advance on their future accomplishment. Now go buy another attacking midfielder so you can win the title next season.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the woofbet.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

Thoughts on what to do with this lot this week? Think i’m done with hits this season so just the one FT this week. 1 FT, 0.7m in the kitty. Could save the FT and play 2 in GW38, or bring in a Sundershite player..

Mourinho has said that Rubem Loftus-Cheek, Nathan Ake & Izzy Brown will all start against West Brom next Monday night.

That’s unlike Jose to give us useful info before a game Kop.

“The same with the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Eden Hazard and Willian. They have played too much. ”
Anyone think it’ll be these guys rested?

      • Kop Warrior says:

I doubt he’d make it that simple for us Photek smile

      • theswirly says:

I was originally going to bring out Silva for Sanchez, but now I’m seriously thinking about taking out Hazard instead. May use the money saved to bring in Terry for the last game of the season.

        • Kop Warrior says:

Swirly, I reckon that makes sense. I’ll be ditching Hazard for an Arsenal mid.

        • Interesting info that, Kop. Cheers. I’ve Fab and Haz, so I’m likely to ditch Fab. Hazard has started every game this season, so it would be a shame in a way if he was rested just in the penultimate game. Anyway, we’ll see.

I like Mourinho’s integrity with these games. Putting out a strong line up in games that matter to other teams.

        • photek says:

Swirly I would mate, Silva is in great form atm, him and aguero keep picking up the points.

        • theswirly says:

They’ve possibly won me my league after yesterday. 62 points (out of a total of 83) from just two players! After a very squeaky-bum-time of my ML league lead being cut down to 11 points, it’s now back up to 54 though it probably won’t be that much come the end of tonight as I don’t yet have Sanchez and he does (he thankfully captained Benteke).

        • Colriles says:

Hey Swirly – seems as we’re living a parallel ML existence! I’m back to a 57 pt lead in my league after I cap’d Aguero and he cap’d Benteke… and he’s got Sanchez & Cazorla and I’ve got Giroud & Bellerin to go tonight! Are you thinking of bringing in Sanchez next week to fend him off? Congrats on your season too mate.

        • theswirly says:

Hi Colriles, yeah it does – congratulations to you too buddy. Sanchez is definitely coming into my team for this GW – Hazard is coming out. Moreno will also go for PVA. Skrtel is away to Stoke on GW38 and so it may be him sacrificed to bring in Ivanovic or Terry then.

Watched the Youth champions league final and that Izzy Brown looked a decent player, probably looks better than that Loftus cheek although I’ve only seen them at two completely different levels.

    KI says:

    Colriles,

Not only did I go with a dud keeper (Davis, in my case), but i have Panto as his replacement! Over 100 tonight, the first time ever in a ten-game week. Not entirely dumb luck, as I had Panto lined up for the dgw.
BTW, why would Koeman go with his third-string keeper, Gazzaniga, in a game that mattered, at least to others? Just desperately trying to avoid Europa League next year? Not nice.

      Colriles says:

Great score this week for ya Ki! I’m happy with my 82 as my mate chasing in my ML managed only 53 (-4). I’ve got Davis too, not sure why he was dropped but I won’t be addressing that in the next 2 weeks so Schmeichel will have to get the call till the end.

      • KI says:

        Colriles,

Nice lead-I wish mine were as large as yours-to the end-sigh.
Schmeichel is a good call for the two remaining games; from the comments below, it sounds like Davis may be back for next week. But AV, even at home, may be tougher.
        Continuing good luck.

      NIN says:

To be fair, he wasn’t playing all that well. I reckon they would prefer to be in Europe, but the wheels have come off so it doesn’t look likely. A half decent striker and they may have made fourth, who knows.

It was said that Koeman wanted a look at both his keepers before deciding whether to bring another one in over the summer as Forster is going to be out till October.

    NIN says:

Here’s an interesting one. In seasons gone bye, i have noticed that a lot of the time when England call up young players to the first team, for the first time, it kills their production for their club. I thought i’d have a look and see how this relates to Kane, and his serious dip in form. Since his international call up he has only managed one goal and one assist in six game for Spurs. In the six games prior to the call up he hammered home seven goals, one assist, and a ton of bonus’. Might this be something to consider for future youngsters being called up?

      jamesimmo says:

Afternoon guys. Yep NIN that’s a peculiar trend which Kane certainly fits in with. What other young players were you thinking of?

      • NIN says:

Afternoon James. Barkley is a glaring one. Bentley is another. Phil Jones and John Stones are another two who dropped massively after their call ups. I’m not saying that these players never get it back, but it might be something to consider for us fantasy managers. Even Townsend was on fire until his debut. Barely heard from him since. SWP anyone?
