FF247 Regulars League and Cup Update
Just a quick word on this from Elle…
Hello lads and lasses. Hope we all end up achieving our goals as we near the end of the season. As the end of another fantasy premier league season draws to a close lets have a look back at the Regulars league and cup.
As you all know I decided to start a league for all the regulars on our site. Like most of you, I never knew who any bugger was in the internationally well known FF247 league. And so the Regulars league took off, all of you mailed me names so that when someone asked who so and so was we all knew who they were. The league itself has been a rollercoaster ride all season with different leaders all the way through, it wasn’t hard to lead, even I spent a week or two up in those giddy heights. At the time of writing Brookyboy sits in number 1 closely followed by Raz in 2nd and Dreamers in 3rd. Can Brooky claim the top spot after 38 gameweeks? After the next 2 gameweeks will we know.
As we reached Christmas last year, the top 64 in the Regulars League were entered into the regulars cup, so off we went. Round 1 saw some close ties and included in the 32 to be ousted were big names such as GP, NiN, Init and our own unrespected techno guy Floydeth. 32 soon became 16 in round 2 with big names such as Labyrinth, Silvers, Raz and my good self falling by the wayside. I’d like to mention at this point that the FF247 community team were still going strong having seen off Alsed and myself in the first 2 rounds. Was it really possible that many heads were better than the individual? Only time would tell. Round 3 saw really big names fall, such as Kop Warrior, Mito, Bigpopz and Colrilles. The community team having seen off Stewy10. Now we were down to the last 8, was this squeaky bum time with a semi final looming? Well the 4 that were edged out were our mls guru Guy Sanchez, 1of7, Los Machos and Sweet Blue Toffee. The community team seeing off Los Machos. So the final 4 were Red Snappers Gone (Kruzcampo) v The community team and Cookies Monsters v Wafflez. The semis were played in DGW34 so big scores were expected, and we weren’t disappointed. Both ties were close with Cookie winning 158 to 156 and the Community team losing by 155 to 154. The end of the road had come for all of us thanks to Kruzcampo but I’m sure you’ll agree the community team did really well.
And so to the final Cookie v Kruzcampo in GW38. Good luck guys, I’m off to nick a wheel trim for the winner.

Going to get rid of firmino to either mane or tadic and then I will look to get rid of that donkey Carroll possibly for giroud, what you reckon?

Tentative plan is to get some Spurs attackers in. But will their desire to stop Arsenal taking second outweigh the drive Newcastle should feel to put on a good show for the last Premier League match at St James Park for at least 15 months?
Might just leave it until Sunday morning and gamble on an unlikely flash of inspiration.
Yeah I will be having a good old think over the next few days! Need to win my ML so I need to be pretty smart with my moves!
Well I kept Kane and wish I hadn’t now expected more from him and Spurs these last few weeks.
Well mitro I was thinking Giroud and tadic earlier today… But me and thee went TC on Carroll.. I remember you posted on sat saying Carroll or Payet and I commented ‘just made a last minute change to carroll’ would have been top of my league for the first time this season.., instead of 16 off top!!

Cheers Mitro I hope so, to be honest I’m looking forward to a ‘refresh’ as we have a lot of players who clearly don’t want to be there. Aside from Darlow, Elliot, lascelles,Mbemba and Townsend the rest can fuck right off! Clean slate, get some grafters in who want to actually fight for the team!

PvA brough me so much luck. Let’s see, 1 gameweek ago I brought him and decided not to double on Sunderland defense so I went with Darlow whom kept a CS and stopped a penalty. Now dude is on 17 points and Mannone on 11 (should be 12, but whatever). Beyond cool. Wonder what Sun will do in the last game though, now they have nothing left to play for.

91, which I’m of course very happy with, but at the same time disappointed as I’ve actually lost ground on 2nd in mt ML – the guy had PVA and Martial! :/ Honestly kinda sad it wasn’t more as Hazard (My TC!!) played really well against Sunderland and got nothing, and should have at least had another assist today, but you can’t be too annoyed with any week when you get 91 points!
