Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 37 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 20GW37 is live! Here we go with the penultimate set of fixtures. Lucky us we have a lunch time kick-off, but if that wasn’t enough, we get Sherwood in the first game. Remember managers, knowledge is the key to life, it is never too late to learn how to be brilliant like Sherwood. So tune in or stay dumb, your choice. We have 5 fixtures hitting us hard at 3pm. With Burnley relegated and nothing to play for, hopefully they will unleash their free flowing “attack” when they go for two goals in one game for the first time in 3 months as they take on Charlie Adam and ten complimentary pieces. In other action we see a highly exciting match-up in QPR versus Newcastle (excuse us for that yawn). Hull visit a Spurs side working hard to drop out of a Europa spot. In other action the Foxes face off against Sunderland in what promises to be a pins and needles affair and not because Defoe needs acupuncture if you know what we mean. West Ham welcome in Everton, considering the Toffees have allowed goals to Cleverly and the Dinosaur Defoe in consecutive weeks, expect Carlton Cole to score for the first time since October. In the last game we get to reminisce a little, but this time Palace visit Anfield. If we are lucky, Liverpool will go up 3 and then…

On Sunday we see two fixtures. The Swans see City and their not-good-enough-for-the best-EPL XI Kun Aguero come rampaging in. And in the late game superstar Marouane Fellaini hopes to continue to build a case for the 9-1 formation. Just cross it or kick it long and Mop head will solve the problem. Of course he will probably be countered by Arsene with the German pencil Per. Should be interesting to see two guys go at it all day counting on their one and only talent, being tall.

On Monday we see Chelsea “Boring, Boring” go at it against West Brom “More Boring” in a fixture for ‘who has the bigger bus’ bragging rights.

We then finish off the double with a game at the Emirates. The Black Kitties pay a visit in what hopefully becomes bundles of points for us managers, when they allow 8 in.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the woofbet.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

Wow, looks like Liverpool and Arsenal are the big let downs. Though I’d never have done it, due to the fixtures, I wish I’d picked Schlupp and Puncheon ahead of Skrtel and Henderson. It would have got me 13 more points! Just hope Rambo plays on Wednesday and him, Giroud and, in particular, Sanchez pull their fingers out then too.

      NIN says:

Hey Swirly. After all my hooting and tooting a couple of months back, Mr Skrtel has proved to be more of a nuisance than anything! I think he’ll be warming the bench for GW38. Watch him go and score a brace or some such BS laugh

      • The B says:

Skrtel and Jones are 2 defenders that have annoyed me so much this season!!

        • NIN says:

Coleman and Baines top the pile, for me. The Europa League fairly sorted them two out!

        • inittowinit says:

I’d expect us to be much better next season now NIN without the Europa. Then when we are and we qualify for it again we’ll be crap the season after because we are back in it! They need to scrap it or just play it on a Tues / Wed. Sad state of affairs when the teams qualifying for it are gutted to do so! If it was me I’d just send a youth team or reserve team to play in it.

        • NIN says:

A cut price Coleman may just be too tempting to ignore next season. Agreed re the EL. They wont move it to Tuesday/Wednesday, though, because of revenue. Horrible tournament.

50 pts with Azpi (maybe), Berrelin, Sanchez (c), and Giroud stp, so fairly happy.

    That Mignolet penalty save helped!!!

      NIN says:

      Oooh, i like this…

      Hazard
      Pelle
      Kane
Kane – 5m and scored for fun. Bingo.
      Hazard
Hazard (from the start – lost near 100 points getting him near half way through the season)
      Eriksen/Rose/Bojan/Caulker. Take your pick!
      GW26. GWR 7,295. 81 scored
GW12. Almost bottom of the pile that week. GWR of nearly 3m.

      • TheDreamers says:

Nin – caulker make s your player you hadn’t?

Pelle also did a lot right this season.

Instead of yours I’d go maybe Sturridge/ Wally or Luis for Pelle.

Cazorla I didn’t get early enough. Gw26 odd was my worst , last gw my best.

        • NIN says:

Yep. Caulker was an absolute disaster!

Pelle did okay for 5 minutes until teams sussed him out. He’s my shout for the worst striker in the league.

You could be onto something re Cazorla. He flew under the radar for weeks before i got him too. Still, i would rather have had Hazard from the off.

      Mine

      Terry…..consistent cs plus odd goal.

Sterling……waste of money waste of talent.

      Kane, obviously…..also Fabregas.

Kane ….was late on the bandwagon but got plenty of points from him…..also Foster/Myhill.

      Aguero….nuff said.!

Balo…..actually had him for a couple of weeks….I know, stupid right?

      Gwk 30 = 90 pts

      Gwk 29 = 21 pts

Best gameweek: GW14 – got 93 points (ranked 1,291) and benched Kane (2) for Boyd (9) which was sweet – it also meant I had Kane before he was cool…

Worst gameweek: GW15 – only 26 points immediately after the aforementioned dream week – ranked too low to think about!

      The B says:

Best player: Has to be Hazard, definitely.

Worst player: Baines this season has been disappointing.

      Biggest surprise player: Kane!

Bargain of the season: Again, Kane.

Player you couldn’t do without: Hazard

Player you wished you had: Umm, Giroud probably.

Player you hadn’t : Skrtel and Jones.

Best game week: GW36, scored 100 points and reached OR Top 1K for the first time.

Worst game week: GW20, scored a very low score that was below average. All players failed me, except for Hazard, obviously.

52 With 5 to play – still 50 points adrift off my mini league though sad Need a good captain next week!

    niko says:

Hey guys, Need some help in winning my Mini league.

I am up 24 points with an extra player (Hazard) vs my nearest rival. Hes got a 3 man Arsenal midfield.

Now, my team is pasted, im at 2150 points, OR ~6k.

I need one killer transfer for the finale. Im thinking Defoe out for Benteke, but looking at the relegation batlle, do you think N’Doye and/or Ayoze are worth a punt? They have everything to play for and should look at getting on the scoresheet. And if they do, these guys should feature right?

    Thanks.

      niko says:

For this GW, he has Pantilimon, Ramsey, Ozil to go vs my Ospina, Defoe, Giroud, and Hazard. Both of us have Sanchez as captain and PVA.

    • 54.2

Niko, you will have to be careful this week, wait for Cookies pressers on Friday. If Arsenal beat the Mackems, thats 3rd place for them, so Wenger could rest a few for the cup final. Likewise Vanilla are safe so i would think Tekkers may get a break before the final also.

      • niko says:

Agreed. I plan to make my transfers on Saturday, since cash is not an issue.

      • niko says:

You make good points, and thats the reason im iffy on Tekkers. However, if Giroud gets rested, I might have a problem. one way to look at it is that the Cup Final is a week away, so rest should not be an issue. Arsenal would like to finish 2nd which would be their highest finish in a long time. So with nothing to lose, they might play some beautiful football and get in a few goals.
