Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 38 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16
And there it was gone. 37 weeks of sheer hell! For most anyway. Will the 38th be any better? Probably not! All logic seemed to go out of the window this time, taking with it the careful planning and attention to detail that most successful fantasy managers usually thrive on. Looking back it truly was the season of the underdog, ably accompanied by his close mate ‘Spoiler Dog’ as every best laid plan seemed to get scuppered at every single bloody turn, be it by an injury, a suspension, a rotation, a drugs test… On and on and on… to the point where we all just gave in and just had to finally laugh or cry. Always better to just laugh.
On which point we did. Well, we did both didn’t we, along the way. We all laughed, we all cried, we all had fun. Most importantly we all did it together. For better or for worse we all stuck at it and tried our best to help each other along the way. One big fantasy football community. And we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every single comment and view this season, it means a lot, and means we are doing our job properly. We shall of course be back for next season but in the meantime please stick with us as we shall be playing Fantasy Euro 2016 over the summer as well as building up to the next FPL season with pre-season articles galore.
For now though, ‘enjoy’ what is left of this somewhat horrid fantasy season and we wish you luck in nailing your mini-leagues in the final week. Make sure you tell us how it went for you, either way. Well this game week was a complete waste for me no goal from Sanchez, Kun, Kane, only an assist from Ozil and nothing from captain Tadic. Needed to make a 36 point gap but only got 31 with Smalling left to play

Smalling could get 2 + 4 (CS) + 18 (3 goals) + 6 (2 assists) + 3bp?

I’ve been absolutely destroyed today my openly has martial and smalling the latter is showing 9! Another lad who was way behind me had DDG and smalling plus giroud as cappo! He is currently 5 points clear! As it stands I have ended up in 3rd! I feel sick!!
Mitro, United and Bournemouth players have 0 points in FPL, whatchu on about?
The Utd players did have points Tekkers but they have been taken off now.
And that’s really unlucky Mitro but the lad with the United players will go back down so don’t worry.
I’m on the fix rivals on fix website and it shows smalling and DDG on 9 each!
Teks, thats what i’ve judt been looking for. A big fat zero. The game will be replayed though at some stage, so those with United + Bournemouth players may still have points incoming. It will depend when it is played to see what Uniteds line up looks like. Could the FA state that the line ups have to remain the same ?
I bloody hope so because I’d say United will rest all their players now as they have nothing to fight for!!
I doubt the match will be rescheduled before the FA Cup final though, these bureaucratic things always take longer than necessary. I don’t think we’ll get any points from United or Bournemouth players this round.
It’s been announced that the replay will not be played before the FA cup final this week.
Evening Matt, where are you seeing this news? My ML and €200 prize will be decided on whether Martial will get 4 or more points, if he does, I’ll miss out. So this isn’t ideal news!

I can’t find it Rambo I can only find the interview where Geoff Shreeves says it’s unlikely to be played this week. Maybe they changed their minds and they haven’t decided yet.

If Smalling & Martial dont get a point between them I’ll take my ML. If they get 1 in total, it’ll be halved. If between the two they get 2 or more points, I’ll miss out. Could it be any closer!!
Cookie, I’ll be hoping that it’ll be Tuesday, I’d even give the Bournemouth lads an extra day for travel and think Wednesday would be the best possible day… Wishful thinking!
United will be keen earlier in the week as they have the Cup Final next week.
Game will not be played before Wednesday, doubt if united want that with the FA Cup on Saturday, possibly acweek Wednesday would seem sensible

Well I’m 12 points off my ML leader, he has DDG and Valencia I have DDG, Smalling and Rashford… A smalling goal and Rashford goal and I could snatch it… We can but dream…

Anything from Alexis and I’d have done it. Oh well, seemed improbable a few weeks back with an 80 deficit so not too disappointed. Couldn’t have threw much more at it this week with Giroud and Mane really. Looks like I’ve avoided the dreaded 6 figure ranking anyway which again looked highly unlikely not so long back!
…if Arteta had put his final Arsenal kick about an inch lower then it’d have been a Sanchez assist!
