Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 38 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16
And there it was gone. 37 weeks of sheer hell! For most anyway. Will the 38th be any better? Probably not! All logic seemed to go out of the window this time, taking with it the careful planning and attention to detail that most successful fantasy managers usually thrive on. Looking back it truly was the season of the underdog, ably accompanied by his close mate ‘Spoiler Dog’ as every best laid plan seemed to get scuppered at every single bloody turn, be it by an injury, a suspension, a rotation, a drugs test… On and on and on… to the point where we all just gave in and just had to finally laugh or cry. Always better to just laugh.
On which point we did. Well, we did both didn’t we, along the way. We all laughed, we all cried, we all had fun. Most importantly we all did it together. For better or for worse we all stuck at it and tried our best to help each other along the way. One big fantasy football community. And we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every single comment and view this season, it means a lot, and means we are doing our job properly. We shall of course be back for next season but in the meantime please stick with us as we shall be playing Fantasy Euro 2016 over the summer as well as building up to the next FPL season with pre-season articles galore.
For now though, ‘enjoy’ what is left of this somewhat horrid fantasy season and we wish you luck in nailing your mini-leagues in the final week. Make sure you tell us how it went for you, either way. Every game starts at the same time this week so whether it’s pain or pleasure for you it’ll be over quite quickly. Here are the final 10 games…

MattX
No problem GP
photek
What site are you using to pick your Euro teams guys?
Silvers

MattX
+1
photek
Thanks Silvers
Cookie
GK – Forster, Hart, Heaton
Def – Bertrand, Cahill, Clyne, Stones, Smalling, Rose, Walker
Midfield – Alli, Barkley, Delph, Dier, Drinkwater, Henderson, Lallana, Milner, Sterling, Townsend, Wilshere
Forwards – Rooney, Sturridge, Kane, Vardy, Rashford
Cookie
Squad will be cut by three after the warm up matches I believe…..
Look at the injuries in that squad – could open a small hospital with that lot.
photek
I’m not sure what Delph and Wilshere have done to be in there, they’ve hardly played all season
MattX
Yeah I’m thinking the three that will/should be dropped are Delph, Wilshere and Townsend.
Andy
They’ll not ditch three mids and keep five forwards, the whole point of taking fewer defenders is to take an extra mid, I think Rashford might be the one to get cut from the five given above.
MattX
Well I was going to say Rashford but I though being a Liverpool Fan people would just think I’m only saying because he’s a United player haha
EBC
Delph, Rashford & 1 more

Afternoon gents, I had another good season finished up in the top 150000 but just fell short in my mini league again .how do most of you go about choosing a captain every week that is definitely a weekness of mine that needs sorting then maybe I might be able to win for once.
praveen
For me I always choose a captain who is consistent.. For example, Aguero/Kane/Vardy this season.. But sometimes if u r say chasing in ur mini league, then its fine to take a punt..
Also the main thing I look at is form and fixtures..
No1likesus
Ok cheers mate is there case for picking one player ie let’s say aguero if I was to have captin him all season it would have been an extra 184 points and I would have won my mini league.
elleffcee (ex champ with a potty prize)
This past gameweek i put the armband on Giroud. Had the fixture but no form since about 2012. :big-lol:
Suppose that counts as a punt.
MattX
No that just counts as being a jammy git :big-lol:
Silvers
You are just showing off Elle well done mate big score & rank for you. 😉
elleffcee (ex champ with a potty prize)
Cheers. Yip up to 19,167 i think.
MattX
Nice rank Elle, I was 14k but have dropped to around the same ranking as you now but still it’s my best ranking.
Silvers
Anyone been looking at the Euros yet who are Germany back 4 I assume Hummels & Boating are two nailed on I think I know the other two but would like others opinions
elleffcee (ex champ with a potty prize)
Silvers is Lahm still playing ?
MattX
I’ve gone safe and stuck Neuer as German defensive cover. But I’d say it will be Hummels and Boateng I think Lahm has retired from international.
The Gallant Pioneer (@mitchellcraig81)
Silvers
I think Rudiger and Hector will be the full backs and definitely Hummels with probably Boateng. Neuer in GK obviously.
MattX
Just a question to add to this where does Alaba play for Austria? LB, DCM or just midfield?
Silvers
Mattx Midfield I thk he could be one to put in but he his 7m scores quite a few goals
MattX
Yeah I have him in my team right now I just wasn’t sure if he played defensively for Austria or not. Would you keep Siggy in for 8 Mil he plays fairly hard teams?
Silvers
Hey Matt not looked at Siggy & 8m is a lot there are probably better but depends who else you have 😉
MattX
The only other 8.0 Mil mods are Arda Turan, Iniesta and Payet but I already have Pogba so Payet is out.
Silvers
Matt there are some good 7.5 to 6.5m players avil I’ve been tinkering but trying to get balance right There are some easier groups than other so look within these as well
MattX
Yeah need to start looking at the groups and see what might be the easiest group
Silvers
sorry all had to do some work Lahm will be on his zimmer frame by now I was thinking Hector will be one and possibly Mustafi or Ginter although it would be good if Rud was a starter cheers all
Bigpopz
Hey guys
Wot euros site we all using this year?
Gunna have a look later,
Need my fantasy footy fix ?
MattX
Hey Popz heres the link mate http://eurofantasy.uefa.com
OriginalRambo
If Smalling and/or Martial get over 1 point between them tomorrow I’ll lose my ML. Surely LVG will rest a few, question is who though?…
Mitro
Fingers crossed he does 😉
Cookie
There’s a report out tonight that he won’t be rotating – but it is the Daily Mail so wouldn’t take too much notice.
