Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 38 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match ChatAnd there it was gone. 37 weeks of sheer hell! For most anyway. Will the 38th be any better? Probably not! All logic seemed to go out of the window this time, taking with it the careful planning and attention to detail that most successful fantasy managers usually thrive on. Looking back it truly was the season of the underdog, ably accompanied by his close mate ‘Spoiler Dog’ as every best laid plan seemed to get scuppered at every single bloody turn, be it by an injury, a suspension, a rotation, a drugs test… On and on and on… to the point where we all just gave in and just had to finally laugh or cry. Always better to just laugh.

On which point we did. Well, we did both didn’t we, along the way. We all laughed, we all cried, we all had fun. Most importantly we all did it together. For better or for worse we all stuck at it and tried our best to help each other along the way. One big fantasy football community. And we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every single comment and view this season, it means a lot, and means we are doing our job properly. We shall of course be back for next season but in the meantime please stick with us as we shall be playing Fantasy Euro 2016 over the summer as well as building up to the next FPL season with pre-season articles galore.

For now though, ‘enjoy’ what is left of this somewhat horrid fantasy season and we wish you luck in nailing your mini-leagues in the final week. Make sure you tell us how it went for you, either way. Every game starts at the same time this week so whether it’s pain or pleasure for you it’ll be over quite quickly. Here are the final 10 games…

Thanks to everyone who persuaded me out of going -8 to get Sanchez to replace Hazard. I did Mane for Payet and Tadic for Milner in the end. 57 points with DDG and Smalling left and overall position of 3k.

Thanks again for the help this season!!

I went for -12 replace Hazard, Milner, Costa and Payet for Sanchez, Mane, Giroud and Ayew. Have also DDG and Smalling to come. 194k overall. You have a great rank

Blimey, your -12 was definitely worth it. If Sanchez had chipped in that would have been a brilliant score. How many did you get in total this week?

Thanks Chris! I need Martial & Mata to score about 9 more points than Rashford tomorrow in order to win Potty’s head to head league. Really hoping for them to play…

Morning, so what do we all need from tonight then? Personally I need DDG to get sent off and for Bournemouth to score 4 and then I’ll probably tie my ML, suffice to say I’m not holding my breathe!

Morning all Matt & I need Rojo not to start DDG to keep a clean sht & Martial to score , no really we just need Rojo not to start & we win the Doubles league so bring it on

Been looking at the Euros last couple of days , what are peoples thoughts of going with 1 GK & a 4m none playing keeper. There are no subs in between whilst match days are in progress , but there are price changes at the end group stages so it might be handy to have a second playing keeper. ???

Init looks like you can its under How to play so its 2 keepers fr me

    3. Manage team
Your team will be locked only when the first match of the day starts, so you can make any changes you need to your team until the scheduled start of the match – you can transfer/substitute players depending whether it’s a transfer or substitution period.

You can make unlimited transfers before the first game of the tournament and knockout stage. However, during the tournament you will have limited number of transfers.

The substitution period will be available between gamedays where you can replace a starting XI player with a bench player.

Cheers Silvers. Look’s like it’s back to the drawing board for me then.

      inittowinit says:

That’s the one Silvers. 1 FT between each matchday in the groups too. So matchday 1 will cover every teams 1st group game, matchday 2 their 2nd and so on.

      DMC says:

Where do you read from here that you are able to make changes during a matchday?
Or am I misunderstanding silver’s initial comment on 113?
The way I read this is that your XI for a given matchday is locked once the first game starts. If someone doesn’t feature, it’s a normal sub as per FPL. But you can’t change a player during the matchday, as you can in UCL for example. So, if Pogba fails on gw1 you cannot change him to let’s say Wilshere before the england game (not that you’d want to do that anyway, of course).
But you can of course change completely your starting XI for GW2 and so on.

      • inittowinit says:

Yes we’re on the same page. No changes within a matchday but changes between them are allowed. So you lock your team for all of the teams first games which are classed as matchday 1 and then you can tinker before all their second games which is matchday 2. So between matchdays and not during is the key bit here.

        • DMC says:

Yep, that’s it. Being that there will only be one day between group stage matchdays as per usual in these comps!

        • inittowinit says:

Not looked at the actual game dates yet but I do remember the WC one being like this and we all got confused as some of the teams starting playing their 3rd games before some others had played their 2nd. Hopefully it’s more ordered this time.

      • Silvers says:

DMC I thk this is the bit looks similar to the under 21 Euros

The substitution period will be available between gamedays where you can replace a starting XI player with a bench player.
