Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 38 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match ChatAnd there it was gone. 37 weeks of sheer hell! For most anyway. Will the 38th be any better? Probably not! All logic seemed to go out of the window this time, taking with it the careful planning and attention to detail that most successful fantasy managers usually thrive on. Looking back it truly was the season of the underdog, ably accompanied by his close mate ‘Spoiler Dog’ as every best laid plan seemed to get scuppered at every single bloody turn, be it by an injury, a suspension, a rotation, a drugs test… On and on and on… to the point where we all just gave in and just had to finally laugh or cry. Always better to just laugh.

On which point we did. Well, we did both didn’t we, along the way. We all laughed, we all cried, we all had fun. Most importantly we all did it together. For better or for worse we all stuck at it and tried our best to help each other along the way. One big fantasy football community. And we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every single comment and view this season, it means a lot, and means we are doing our job properly. We shall of course be back for next season but in the meantime please stick with us as we shall be playing Fantasy Euro 2016 over the summer as well as building up to the next FPL season with pre-season articles galore.

For now though, ‘enjoy’ what is left of this somewhat horrid fantasy season and we wish you luck in nailing your mini-leagues in the final week. Make sure you tell us how it went for you, either way. Every game starts at the same time this week so whether it’s pain or pleasure for you it’ll be over quite quickly. Here are the final 10 games…

Ok been looking at basement fwds Janko , Milik & Alcacer if gets the nod interest me also Mertens might be handy he’s down as a mf player but plays further up field. Who do we think will be Eng two strikers ?

One striker I have on my team and I’m really considering keeping him is Shane Long. I think he should lead the line for Ireland and with the the Belgium team not playing as good as usual and Sweden not doing much defensively either I’d say he could be a good punt.

Kane will be the no.9 and then there’ll be 3 in behind him. Probably Rooney, Alli and one other. That would have been Welbeck wide so now it could be Barkley, Lallana, Townsend or even Vardy. Depends if Wilshere and Hendo make it as to where Alli has to play.

Init do you not thk Dier will start was considering him

        • inittowinit says:

Yes I do, I’d expect him to take one of the 2 midfield spots behind the 3 and alongside one of Jack or Hendo.

        • MattX says:

Do you guys think this will be the starting XI for England currently have Alli and Stones but Im unsure.

          Hart
          Clyne Stones Smalling Rose
          Dier Henderson
          Lallana Alli Vardy
          Kane

I left Rooney out because I think he should be left on the bench and only brought on if really needed.

        • MattX says:

Well I was thinking Sturridge but unless Roy plays 3 up top I dont see how you can drop Vardy or Kane as for Rooney like I said I think him and Robbie Keane should be two players who should be put on the bench and only brought on if they are really needed. I think its time to give these other players the chance now.

Cahill vs Stones is the one thing I was unsure of I think Cahill will play but Roy seems to like Stones so its a tough one

        • MattX says:

Oh I agree with you but based on this season if you were Kane or Vardy and you got pushed out by a player who spent most of it on the sidelines you’d be fairly annoyed

        • MattX says:

That’s very true. I prefer Sturridge aswell and Kane hasn’t scored in weeks. So you could be right that he only scores with Dembele.

        • DMC says:

Also, I cant see Vardy playing as a winger. If Kane up top it will be sturridge on the left. If sturridge up top, then sterling on the left.

I think I’m just going to choose my team from any nation with red in there flag 😉

How does this team look? I brought in two GKs because I’m still unsure whether its best to rotate them or not but I like the rotation between these two GKs.

    Lloris,
    Hummels, Alderweireld, Bonucci,
    Alaba, Xhaka, Alli, Pogba,
    Long, Ronaldo, Greizmann

subs: Rui Patricio, Kalas, Keogh, Khailli

Hey Matt I have 5 off your team still not settled yet on team Xhaka , Kalas , Kahalli let me know which teams& I will chk them out still a very strong first 11

      • MattX says:

Hey Silvers, yeah I’m still unsure of Xhaka, Kalas, Khailli and the one I’m possibly most unsure of is Bonucci. I’d really like him but I think Italy are the most defensive team so kind of need one of them.

Anyone else getting done by the bomb scare at OT? I’m 4 Pts ahead in 2nd place ( prize money involved here)’in my ML. However I suspect that Man Utd will field a weak team now and if Martial and Velencia don’t play my rival will have Danny Drinkwater coming on with 10pts.

    I’m telling ye, that’s a sickner!
