Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 38 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match ChatAnd there it was gone. 37 weeks of sheer hell! For most anyway. Will the 38th be any better? Probably not! All logic seemed to go out of the window this time, taking with it the careful planning and attention to detail that most successful fantasy managers usually thrive on. Looking back it truly was the season of the underdog, ably accompanied by his close mate ‘Spoiler Dog’ as every best laid plan seemed to get scuppered at every single bloody turn, be it by an injury, a suspension, a rotation, a drugs test… On and on and on… to the point where we all just gave in and just had to finally laugh or cry. Always better to just laugh.

On which point we did. Well, we did both didn’t we, along the way. We all laughed, we all cried, we all had fun. Most importantly we all did it together. For better or for worse we all stuck at it and tried our best to help each other along the way. One big fantasy football community. And we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every single comment and view this season, it means a lot, and means we are doing our job properly. We shall of course be back for next season but in the meantime please stick with us as we shall be playing Fantasy Euro 2016 over the summer as well as building up to the next FPL season with pre-season articles galore.

For now though, ‘enjoy’ what is left of this somewhat horrid fantasy season and we wish you luck in nailing your mini-leagues in the final week. Make sure you tell us how it went for you, either way. Every game starts at the same time this week so whether it’s pain or pleasure for you it’ll be over quite quickly. Here are the final 10 games…

Hmmm. Seems most people will do the Euros thing. I think I will pass on the Euros this year.

United lineup is the same as Sundays by the way.

So with Mike & Tony starting tonight, I’ve lost my ML… 4 days ahead of his biggest game with the club and he starts his full strength team. C’mon Palace!!

Sitting inside the top 20k, hopefully a Smalling clean sheet can keep me inside there, or maybe even better…

Hoping for a DDG clean sht & a Martial hatty come on Utd smile you don’t here that much from a Leeds supporter I better hide

      • MattX says:

Mate we have probably won the doubles league because of NIN and Webstar not having Rojo playing but a DDG CS and a Martial goal will be amazing. Even rarer to hear that from a Pool fan haha

        • Silvers says:

Looks like we got it Matt great work to pull it back at the end after leading so lg , we will have to defend it nk season we could also get in top 3k yet that’s would be massive well done mate.

If no ones looking I’m really a closet Pool fan.

        • OriginalRambo says:

Seeing this statements isn’t right! Even when United, Chelsea (anyone effecting) Liverpool are playing I still don’t want my Fantasy players of these teams to do well!

        • MattX says:

Yeah it’s great I’m so glad we managed to get the top spot back. Yeah getting into the top 3k in the world would be amazing. Well done to you too mate

Haha I think everyone secretly is 😛

        • MattX says:

Rambo usually I would hate any United player but since Liverpool’s season is over and this game is basically pointless I don’t really care haha.

Captain Dicky and His C Men says:

So never thought I’d catch first in my ML, but I’m 12 points adrift with Martial and Rashford to play. He has DDG though. 2 goals and United to concede I could win this, long shot I know.

    Portugal squad:
    Rui Patrício, Anthony Lopes, Eduardo
Vieirinha, Cedric Soares, Pepe, Carvalho, Bruno Alves, Fonte, Eliseu, Raphael Guerreiro
William Carvalho, Adrien, João Mário, Danilo, Renato Sanches, André Gomes
    Cristiano, Nani, Quaresma, Rafa, Eder
Predicted starting XI (in my eyes):
    Rui Patrício
    Vieirinha, Pepe, Carvalho, Eliseu
    William Carvalho, Adrien, João Mário
    Quaresma, Cristiano, Nani

      inittowinit says:

No Helder Postiga?! :winktongue: Things just won’t be the same. Thanks for posting that up. Is that Eder as in the Swansea bloke? If so I assume you’re still struggling for forwards as usual. What do you think of their chances mate?

      • DMC says:

Funny you say that about Postiga! He was one of several that were never called upon again after that 2014 humiliation (I mean, the US? again??) and went on to play in all sorts of strange places including in India! He then came back this year to the Portuguese league to play at Rio Ave (has just qualified for europa league next year) and he did score a few goals, including two in his last two. I was saying to a friend that he might actually call him but unfortunately he didn’t meaning former swansea water carrier Eder is in there. I doubt he sees any football to be honest. Maybe on the third game of the group stages if we have qualified by then.
I fancy Portugal to go through in the group stages easily but in the round of 16 we’ll take either Italy or Belgium and anything can happen there. If we go through that one, we could go all the way actually. Unless we face France at some point. We always lose to France in final tournaments (´84, 2000, 2006, blah!). Where’s Holland when you need them? :hippo:
