Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 38 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match ChatAnd there it was gone. 37 weeks of sheer hell! For most anyway. Will the 38th be any better? Probably not! All logic seemed to go out of the window this time, taking with it the careful planning and attention to detail that most successful fantasy managers usually thrive on. Looking back it truly was the season of the underdog, ably accompanied by his close mate ‘Spoiler Dog’ as every best laid plan seemed to get scuppered at every single bloody turn, be it by an injury, a suspension, a rotation, a drugs test… On and on and on… to the point where we all just gave in and just had to finally laugh or cry. Always better to just laugh.

On which point we did. Well, we did both didn’t we, along the way. We all laughed, we all cried, we all had fun. Most importantly we all did it together. For better or for worse we all stuck at it and tried our best to help each other along the way. One big fantasy football community. And we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every single comment and view this season, it means a lot, and means we are doing our job properly. We shall of course be back for next season but in the meantime please stick with us as we shall be playing Fantasy Euro 2016 over the summer as well as building up to the next FPL season with pre-season articles galore.

For now though, ‘enjoy’ what is left of this somewhat horrid fantasy season and we wish you luck in nailing your mini-leagues in the final week. Make sure you tell us how it went for you, either way. Every game starts at the same time this week so whether it’s pain or pleasure for you it’ll be over quite quickly. Here are the final 10 games…

I was all set to retire this year but after losing my work league by only 4 points (cheers for that Chris) I may have to carry on. On the plus side I won the rest so not a bad season,

Finish at OR 25,991 with 2222 points.

Take over 1st position at last GW at my work and colleague Mini League.
It’s been happy to be a part of this community.

    See you all next season.

Morning all been looking at Euro team , bargain basement Def I’ve come up with these at present 4.5m Prodi & Hinteregger Austria , 4.5m Fonte & Cedric Portugal , 4m Bartra Spain & 4.5m Stones Eng these teams have a reasonable chance of going though group stages so my ? for every one will any off these be nailed on ????????

Silvers, has cookie mentioned, while quoting me!, Fonte and Cedric are not starters. Cedric is back up for Vieirinha (wolfsburg) and Fonte is our 4th CB. The cheapest and guaranteed to start way into Portugal’s defence is GK Rui Patrício (5.0). Eliseu is also at 5.0 and seems nailed, but not only he is shite he also has Raphael Guerreiro (4.0) in the shadow. Raphael plays for montpellier and was one of our best players in last year’s U21 euros. He’s much better than Eliseu but he is very young. We’ll need to access that near the tournament.
As for your others suggestions I’m sorry to say that Bartra will surely not play ahead of Piqué or Ramos and that Stones may also not start ahead of Smalling and Cahill. I’m a bit surprised he only named 3 CB’s, that’s risky. Not sure if it’s a “tradition” in England’s squad for final tournaments though.
Also, on the bargain+nailed defenders I’ve found Williams (4.0) for Wales. Not sure you’d fancy him. If only they had the BPS installed!
I’m sure other options will rise from the preview article on each team to come.

Thanks DMC I’m a trier yes I see Vieirinha he’s down as a MF player I have Port GK as my second keeper at present but looking for any money gains now.

        • DMC says:

Silvers – hadn’t noticed that about Vieirinha being down as a MF! Thanks for poiting that out.
It’s wrong, though. He’ll play at RB. They probably did that because he started his career as a winger (as did Eliseu (remember Pellegrini’s Málaga?) btw, but he’s Wolfsburg RB for a few seasons now so no doubts there. Probably skip then, now that any given CS won’t benefit him.

        • Kruzcampo says:

Cheers Silvers I never looked that far down as Ashley is the only one I know.
Anyone know a nailed on starting defender for 4.5 but may go up to 5.0 if nothing out there?

        • Silvers says:

Kruzcampo cant find any nailed on under 5m yet but Dummett might get a place for Wales @ 4m Ive been looking @
          Prodl and Hinteregger Austria @4.5m

        • DMC says:

Kruscampo, not many good/nailed options in that price range of course.
Dier, at 5.0, would probably stand out.
All the Czech Rep. defence fits the price too. Gebre Selassie at 4.5 could be a shrewd investment.

      • Kruzcampo says:

DMC, Just looked to swap Stones for Williams but Williams is coming in at 5.5. Which fantasy game have you got as I am in all the FF247 leagues so I am on the same as most others.

        • Silvers says:

Kruzcampo you are on the right league people are getting mixed up with Ashley & Jordan Williams both play for Wales Jordan is 4m but never plays or very little 😉

        • DMC says:

Argh!! I see this jordan bloke now! Well, nevermind that then, it’s 5.5 for mr. Ashley Williams yes. Interestingly, jordan is on a 6% ownership while ashley is on 4%, so, as silvers mentioned, lots of people are going the wrong foot here.

ok my nk ? will Sturridge be a nailed on starter he should be for me but it seems to be a ?

      DMC says:

I think we had the same doubt for WC2014 and in the end he did start. Of course there was no Kane back then so I see your hesitations. My hint is that, if fit, he definitely starts but probably “coming from the wing” and not upfront, where Kane seems nailed.
      Any other thoughts here anyone?
