Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 38 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16
And there it was gone. 37 weeks of sheer hell! For most anyway. Will the 38th be any better? Probably not! All logic seemed to go out of the window this time, taking with it the careful planning and attention to detail that most successful fantasy managers usually thrive on. Looking back it truly was the season of the underdog, ably accompanied by his close mate ‘Spoiler Dog’ as every best laid plan seemed to get scuppered at every single bloody turn, be it by an injury, a suspension, a rotation, a drugs test… On and on and on… to the point where we all just gave in and just had to finally laugh or cry. Always better to just laugh.
On which point we did. Well, we did both didn’t we, along the way. We all laughed, we all cried, we all had fun. Most importantly we all did it together. For better or for worse we all stuck at it and tried our best to help each other along the way. One big fantasy football community. And we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every single comment and view this season, it means a lot, and means we are doing our job properly. We shall of course be back for next season but in the meantime please stick with us as we shall be playing Fantasy Euro 2016 over the summer as well as building up to the next FPL season with pre-season articles galore.
For now though, ‘enjoy’ what is left of this somewhat horrid fantasy season and we wish you luck in nailing your mini-leagues in the final week. Make sure you tell us how it went for you, either way. I’m thinking of selling Alderwiereld, Bonucci and Kalas to Kaderbeck, Rodriguez and Keogh. Good moves or should I leave team as is?
Early days yet Matt thk there are a few friendlies first the last one for each nation is usually the team they start with.
I’m not keen on Ron but he is in an easy group remember look at the groups try guess & with some research who you think will go though , if that’s hard then take less players from these groups.
Cheers Silvers. Yeah I’m thinking right now of selling Ron and Alli to bring in Shaqiri. I think the French and Swiss have the easiest group expect for each other so I’m not 100% whether I want 6 playing in one match. I think I’ve settled on a few players though it’s just the odd ones I need to nail down. How’s your team looking mate?

Matt Cookie I believe you can sub player in from bench , so player that plays on say 11th June if they don’t score great you can change for someone on your bench.
This was the same for the under 21s the only thing I’m not sure of is can you sub cap out the same way I know if your Cap doesn’t play he cant be subbed but if he scores 2 points you should be able to change him (but I’m not sure on this one)

Bigpopz, the site is working fine for me mate – just changed a couple of players round to confirm that. As to an RMT, I’m not the person to advise, so sorry, but wouldn’t want to give you false advice. It’s very red though!!
One thing i did spot is that in Matchday 2, England and Germany both play so you won’t have the choice to change keepers.

Same here Cookie, i don’t even watch the qualifiers most the time so i have no idea who’s good or not other than the obvious. I know i’ll have 0 English players and no Ronaldo, after that it’s up in the air for me
Why no Ronaldo, NIN?
He has awful tournaments all the time mate. The man is a legend but Portugal as a team are so bad that it doesn’t matter how good Ronaldo is, their going nowhere. I’ll be surprised if he scores twice in the group. Very surprised.

Depending on who is in their group i would take Lewy ahead of Ronaldo any day of the week.
Evening NIN I’m not quite sure why you wouldn’t have any Eng players in you team I thk they will do well in this maybe Semis at best Fancy Germany , France & Belgium if they can put it together.

Its a matter of opinion i suppose. You say semi’s, i say they’ll be doing well to get out of the group. QF at furthest. History suggests England have no chance, and i agree. We shall see

I think Spain or France will win it. If Hazard can keep that end of season form up then Belgium have a chance i suppose. Surprise package: Iceland / Wales.

Sounds legit. Just been looking at the groups and they’re all pretty interesting.
Funny you should say that NIN. In that period Portugal have reached the final of the euro once (Portugal, 2004) and two times the semis, one euro (Poland/Ukraine, 2012, losing to spain on penalties), one WC (Germany, 2006), which is probably better than any other team in there besides Spain, Germany and Italy. I suppose you’re right about Ronnie’s goal stats in final tournaments but that’s because he’s often forced to play as the lone striker which doesn’t favor him rather than the team being bad, imo.
The last image is of course the one that sticks and in fact WC2014 was dreadful. We shall see, there’s a new coach and a new approach to the game so I’m pretty sure the group stages are in the bag. Whether Ronaldo will top the charts or will he be a good fantasy asset is another thing. I have him and he bears the armband of course but I’m a bit bias I guess.
Nah, I’ve seen this team play before mate and they are not good at all. I could of course be wrong but I dint see Portugal doing well at the finals. I may pick up a defender of they’re cheap but not Ronaldo.
