Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 38 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16
And there it was gone. 37 weeks of sheer hell! For most anyway. Will the 38th be any better? Probably not! All logic seemed to go out of the window this time, taking with it the careful planning and attention to detail that most successful fantasy managers usually thrive on. Looking back it truly was the season of the underdog, ably accompanied by his close mate ‘Spoiler Dog’ as every best laid plan seemed to get scuppered at every single bloody turn, be it by an injury, a suspension, a rotation, a drugs test… On and on and on… to the point where we all just gave in and just had to finally laugh or cry. Always better to just laugh.
On which point we did. Well, we did both didn’t we, along the way. We all laughed, we all cried, we all had fun. Most importantly we all did it together. For better or for worse we all stuck at it and tried our best to help each other along the way. One big fantasy football community. And we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every single comment and view this season, it means a lot, and means we are doing our job properly. We shall of course be back for next season but in the meantime please stick with us as we shall be playing Fantasy Euro 2016 over the summer as well as building up to the next FPL season with pre-season articles galore.
For now though, ‘enjoy’ what is left of this somewhat horrid fantasy season and we wish you luck in nailing your mini-leagues in the final week. Make sure you tell us how it went for you, either way. Every game starts at the same time this week so whether it’s pain or pleasure for you it’ll be over quite quickly. Here are the final 10 games…

Evening all, just a quick round up of the Regulars League and cup.
League :-
The league was finally won by Brookyboy with his team ‘Misery Loves Kompany’. A total of 2325pts being attained by Brooky and giving him an overall ranking of 1199. Well done Brooky. 2nd and 3rd were only split by 4pts with Horse and Raz attaining 2277pts (5928 overall) and 2274pts (6559 overall) respectively. Horse taking 2nd being a ball ache for all of us, as he started this team in gameweek 2. Well done to the 3 of you.
Cup :-
The final, as most of you already know, was between Cookie and Kruzcampo. Although it wasn’t a high scoring contest it was close. Kruzcampo coming out on top with a 41pt to 35pt victory. You may like to know that Kruzcampo finished 14th in the Regulars League and 21,003 overall. Cookie attaining 49th in the League and 203,623 overall.
I would like to say thanks to everyone who took part, its been fun with ups and downs along the way. I hope all of you enter again next season.
Cheers,
Elle.

And many thanks to Elle for all his hard work arranging it.
Did you miss someone off the list?
Just double checked all the Winners and no I don’t think so mate
I’ve actually got a wheel trim here, went out and nicked it myself. Do FF247 pay for postage ?
Lying bastard, you’ve got more than one
Cookie, don’t ever call me that again. Lying. :p
Congrats Brooky, for the league win and of course an impressive rank! And congrats for both kruzcampo for the cup and cookie for reaching the final. And finally a big thanks to elle for putting these comps up. I got kicked out of the cup pretty early if I remember well but always had an eye on the regular’s classic and head-to-head leagues throughout the year, so that was good. Keep it up!
Pretty happy with this team Got three world class strikers and still able to afford good defenders and attackers.
Don’t care for the bench in EURO and WORLD CUP fantasy just get the cheapest ones in as you don’t need a bench like you do in FPL.
Not too fond of Griezmann, he’s normally out wide on the right for the Frenchies so I’m not convinced by his price tag or of his forward label , I’d of much preferred him if he was listed as a mid. Of course Giroud looks likely to be the starting forward so I can see why you’ve got Griezmann in there instead.
Andy, and everyone I suppose, I’m reliably informed the intro / rules / fixture tracker article will be up in the morning. It’d be up now if it wasn’t for Talk Talk and my lack of broadband but that’s another story
Hi Gunners, having a bit of a bench may be advantageous in this format as you get to rotate between the phases so maybe someone has a particularly good first game prospect but then a tough second game having someone planned in there with vice versa could work well. That’s how I’ll be structuring mine anyway.
Boom
After some recent treatment I’m back in the mix.
Ok,anyone got the FF247 Euro’s League Code
Potty

Good man Wafflez. You’re in for a hell of a beating. Ride, sorry, I meant hell of a ride
haha im sure im getting beaten Init 😛
YEAH ! One helluva ride. :p
Morning all, I have heard back from the official game regarding transfers within a Matchday and also Capo changes:
Reading that it sounds like they need support not you
What is your pount mate? 😉
I thought Rich worked for Jessops not UEFA.
Anyway, what was the actual scenario you put to them? That answer makes it sound like we can actually play Captain jeopardy within matchdays, I.e between game days within each matchday phase. They do worry me with misguidance when advising on stuff like this as there’s a key difference in terminology between a game day and a matchday. It’s just whether they understand that and that opening sentence suggests we may not be talking to the sharpest tool in the UEFA box!
And if you can indeed then why haven’t they put that in the rules? It does fit with previous tournaments that you would be able to do so.
My interpretation is the following:
A machday is a whole round of matches. A gameday is specifically that day’s matches.
Yes we can play Captain jeopardy, but obviously can only capo someone who hasn’t ye played. Obviously.
Transfers work like Ultimate FPL.
Yes that’s my interpretation also. Just a shame they can’t organise themselves enough to actually say that in their rule guide. Can you show us your original question to them please?
Morning, so basically its the same as the CL comp they run. If Giroud plays Monday and is shite, you can put the cappo on someone who plays Tuesday. Only difference i see is if a mid gets naff all in a game you can’t bring a defender in who has yet to play. You can only replace like for like.
Morning all if Giroud plays site Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun then pick someone else 😉
Elle, I’ve gone back to them for that to see if we can change Giroud to Ozil (for example) – ie change from 4-3-3 to 4-4-2 – as long as a legitimate formation is still used.
Righty-Hoot Cooks.
So that means it is worthwhile having starters on the bench to throw on if any player blanks or gets a minus?
Cookie I’m willing to bet you can. Doesn’t sound like your mate over there actually plays the games.
Yes Elle, just like CL so basically you’ll mess up a capo and then quit in GW1 in a big huff citing ‘shite site’ etc :hippo:
Yes Kruz defo. Even more pertinent now than we I answered gunners on a similar point yesterday. Got your e-mail now btw thanks, it was sat in spam.
Yep agree with all that Init, I think you can too, but just wanted confirmation from them so everyone is in no doubt.
Original question,
Cookie
I see they didn’t mention the “Seatbelt” rule?
As this is an important scenario that all Fantasy Manager’s need to take on prior to the 1st match.
Potty
What’s the seatbelt rule?!
On any given Match day select one’s Captain//Formation before 2pn,
If not the “Seatbelt Rule” applies which is ………..click your’s in before the daily site crash.
WoooHooo
