Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 4 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 4GW4 is live! We kick it off with a lunch time fixture between future champion (in a parallel universe) Arsenal facing off with Newcastle. If both of their first three games this season are anything to go by, expect a lot of action but no goals. At 3pm we see six games commence. Sherwood looks down on Sunderland, hat-trick Wilson faces off versus Mahrez in a match-up of the EPL’s leading scorers, in other action Jose sees the “The Special One” Pardew pay a visit to Stamford Bridge. Continuing the three o’clock games, Watford bends over as they travel to the Ethiad, expect a lot of penetration from the City boys in that one. Pulis and his third worst defence (only CFC and Sunderland are worse) visit the Britannia for a Shaquiri concert. Liverpool host The Hammers in the last of the six 3pm games. Hopefully this time Benteke has someone other than Mignolet reach him with a ball in the air. Saturday is concluded when superstar Harry Kane goes for his 10th sorry, 1st goal of the season when he clashes with Everton.

On Sunday we have two fixtures. The Canaries visit Southampton for what promises to be another master class from Jerome and Pelle on how to finish. In the last fixture of the game-week the Swans defence order their Piña Coladas and put their feet up in what promises to be an easy afternoon as the Harmless four (Rooney, Depay, Mata and whatever) come in for a scoreless draw.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the FanTeam.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

Should I wildcard with this lot?

Ahhh no Aguero! Just seen the shot he scuffed that would’vd been a Sterling assist…

Sterling looked good by the way. That hasn’t stopped be kicking him out for Silva though!

I can’t believe how much more involved Pedro was than Hazard today.

Sitting on 41 points and have no players left. Went from ranking 1,540,559 to 801,389. Wil drop after tomorrow, probably outside the top 1m again. Not super good for a wildcard team but again the people we trust showed we can’t rely on anyone this season. LOL.

im inside the top million – 37 (-4) this week

        shite

        • Raziel says:

WTF are you talking about man? YOu have 3 players left to play and already a score of 37. That’s good. >..<

        • TheDreamers says:

the shite comment is more to do with the ranking than the particular score

        • Raziel says:

Considering what happened the first few gameweeks our ranking ain’t even that bad. If we fall outside the top 1.5m that’s bad and unlucky. As it stands now, that won’t happen to you. We should be able to climb. smile

        • TheDreamers says:

ha. if I didnt think we would climb, I prob wudnt be on here.

I am also drinking. Just a little, but my little might be different than others smile

anyway – to the top we go ( or at least top 10k)

        • Raziel says:

We missed a few bandwagons and stuff. But hey, nobody could foresee this shit, Kun missing all those chances. Man, I had players like Depay and Mane all road but had to let them go on WC and now…………………… lmao……………………they will score big, I just know it. 😉

        • TheDreamers says:

didnt go on the Depay bandwagon but Mane has pissed me off.

          All that potential…

In a different situation he has 3-4 goals

        • Raziel says:

Same with Depay dude, he should’ve scored 2 goals in the last United EPL game versus Newcastle. Just terrible choices he made. *sighs*

4.7 shots per game is a freaking lot though. Also he’s on all set pieces/direct free kicks and probably penalty kicks. If United do start scoring big points, he’ll be involved more often than not.

      • 31+Redmond+Gomis this week for me,

Wildcarded for GW3 and am now sloooooowly rising through the general ranks, like most people here, I guess. Still happy with the WC, it saved me from having to put out lots of different fires all at once; now I can concentrate on tweaking an essentially healthy team.

Mostly, though, I’m loving this season! The midsize clubs have really taken a step up and are not afraid to have a go against the big boys.

30 points and Ruddy, Darmian and Gomis left rank : 2,179,245 😛

Hello there Raz..am sitting at 161 points with cedric still to play..hoping a Southampton clean sheet or an assist may be.i see that u are at 801k and me at 772k.around 30kguys in a single point diff. That shows how tight the season is going to be at the mid tables.

Is a -8 hit worth it for these transfers?
    Milner,azpiliqueta,pelle/benteke–>pedro,kolorov,Wilson
I’ve also linked my team, should I just activate my WC?

    • 136.1
      Raziel says:

Me personally would rather hit that WC button than take an 8 point hit this early during the break. Your eally can’t take a 8 point hit now with 2 weeks till next game. You do know a lot can happen in 14 days right? Personally I’d either wait it out or hit that WC button. Not a 8 point hit right now though.

      • What about Milner,pelle –> pedro,Wilson (-4)

        • Raziel says:

Your team ain’t that bad, not a fan of your defence though. Anyway, I wouldn’t take a hit right now. I’d rather use wildcard and get my whole team up to date plus I’ll get the latest arrivals for free, transfer deadline (the real one) closes on tuesday. After that International Break and right now still 13 days till next GW. I’d prefer that over taking a hit this early.

Again, this is what I would do. Either sit it out and let players rise or use wildcard. Not a hit this early. At the end of the International Break I’d maybe take that hit. It'[s late, going to bed. Been a long f-ing day.

      FDMS

Far too early to be doing any moves. The emotions are still raw and you shouldn’t make transfers until the GW is out particularly when there is two weeks until the next deadline.

The WC can still be used but I wouldn’t advise anything until after the games tomorrow.

What a hell, 26 pts (-4) and only Romero, Darmian and Gomis to play. And again were let down by Aguero as a captain instead of Pedro sad

      harry13 says:

Was thinking the same thing. WHY THE HELL DID LESOTT START WHEN I NEEDED HIM MOST AND OF COURSE I START OXFORD WHO PLAY 9 MINUTES AND GETS 1 POINT WHILE LESCOTT GETS 8 ON MY BENCH.. THIS IS RIDICOLOUS.

    Nosaj says:

What the fuck is this shit!?!?! LOL. I’m on 31 points with Gomis and Cedric left, and after scoring 58 with Wilson and Francis on the bench last week, I had thought that my team had turned the corner…… Obviously not!

The worse part about this is that I have 2FT to use, and 0mil itb, but pretty much my whole team has beast fixtures!!! Especially my front 8! I want to get Pedro in but it seems a waste considering the points that I may be losing if I transfer Payet (Newcastle at Home) and Chadli (Sunderland away) to get the funds. And I also have no idea who I’d be benching lol. I can almost guarantee that I’ll be leaving points on the bench ahaha :p

So, should I still be looking to get Pedro in or should I wait a week and fix up a small issue down in defence and give my midfielders and forwards one more chance due to their fixtures. Thoughts?

    • 138.1
      Nosaj says:

Sorry that was my team from last GW! This is it for this GW. Check out those fixtures! ahaha

      • Calvin Clyne says:

Your rant is funny to read mate smile Compared with everyone else it’s really not that bad of a score at all.

I faced a similar predicament, and rather than agonise over it daily for the next two weeks I have just jumped the gun and used my two FTs already :-/ Probably foolish, especially as one of them was Sanchez (!) but as you said I really like Payet against Newcastle and also have a feeling about Depay. Both guys I brought in are rising so thought feck it. Time will tell!

By the way, this is not advice! Don’t recommend it.

        • Nosaj says:

Really, I thought I had a terrible score! I guess everyone is in the same boat then 😉

I must say, that is probably a foolish move like you said. But who knows, it might work out for you! I’m guessing that you got Pedro in for Sanchez, but who else did you transfer in/out? Personally, I find transferring out Sanchez -> Pedro, considering Sanchez’s and Pedro’s fixtures, a massive risk, particularly considering Chelsea’s patchy form to start of the year. But in saying that I am running out of transfer options!!! ahahaha

I think I’ll have to wait until after the international break to make my transfers. Maybe, for once, an injury to someone in my team during the international break might help me…… I can’t believe I just said that!!! What has FPL come to!?!?!

        • Calvin Clyne says:

Yeah Pedro was the man. Wanted him beforehand and was considering either Payet or Depay for him but as they are cheaper I’d have needed to downgrade elsewhere to afford it so that was a major downside.

Second transfer was Sagna to Kolarov – a wasted, sideways move in the short-term but given the news of Clichy out for a good while and Zaba probably back in a couple of GWs I just made the move as he’s rising tonight anyway.

        • Nosaj says:

Yeah, the Sagna -> Kolarov transfer sounds a bit sideways short term, but will be very good long term. As I have already said, I don’t like the Sanchez -> Pedro transfer, especially with 2 weeks until the next GW, but it might work for you! Good luck with those transfers
