Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 4 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Photo 23-11-2013 11 44 40The deadline bell has rung…did you play your wildcard or have you decided to hold onto it a little longer? Some will be happy with their decision while others will castigate themselves! The first game-week after an international break always makes for fun and games as we have to deal with those ‘international injuries’. Costa is injured, or is he?! Ramsey is injured, or is he?! The game-week kicks off with Arsenal hosting City at lunchtime today and we wrap things up on Monday night with an equally glamourous tie as Hull ‘entertain’ West Ham. Oh and in between there’s the small matter of United potentially rolling out another three debutants.

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck for GW4 from all at FF247!

GW 4 with projected bonus points for the United game according to the BPS. I assume that Herrera will get a second assist for earning the free kick for the first goal.

Expected overall average is 49 points (+10 points today) with over 1 player still left to play or to be subbed in. Average score in the top 10K as of the start of this GW is 59.2 points (+10 points today) with 0.8 players left to play or to be subbed in.

Uncharacteristic early transfers for me but it’s done and now I just hope Chester doesn’t get injured tomorrow!

What do you guys think of the team?

Next steps are Chambers > 4.0 Def, Mutch > King, Sanchez > someone a lot cheaper to eventually get Naismith > Kun haha.

    NIN, tell me about it.

Check my GW history – points galore on the bench every week. Autosubs saved me in Week 2, and even this week left Hutton as last sub and have Chambers bringing me one 1point for Dummett…ah well, it’s a squad game after all!

Just a quick one, I have my WC open if I confirm my transfers can I make further transfers during the week without taking hits?
    Thanks.

Ya have to laugh sometimes! Krul, Janmaat, King, Balotelli (c) with a combined, outrageous, never before seen total of….. 6 points. :whatever:

And you don’t even have Terry? -1… Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

      • NIN says:

No mate, but he would have been the icing on a very, very shitty cake laugh You’ve done well i see. Nice one.

        • Raziel says:

Hmmmm, Newcastle was never going to work out this season. The fans deciding what Pardew should do (for instance dropping Dummett) and now they f-ing wave white flags. Makes no sense. New manager needed though, Pardew has shown several weaknesses now.

Feel sorry for him and SIem de Jong though, I think Siem de Jong could’ve done really well of them, it’s the type of player that lifts the team spirit, makes other players better. Hmmm aah yes, too much Frenchies still, there.

And now… in English Raz…….. grrrrrrr

        • NIN says:

          Haha.

Yeah de Jong was a big blow. I like him, good player. I’m doubling up on them again this week though, no choice. If Hull score… well… i’ll be sad.

I’ll admit that I did say that I expected Newcastle to surprise this season but it doesn’t look likely under the current management.

Cabella, Sissoko, Krul, Janmaat de Jong – there are some talented players at the club but I think leadership in the mid to front areas is badly lacking. I think you are right that Pardew has shown weaknesses, none more so than in his personal behaviour at times.

I know you don’t like Pardew because of dropping Dummett but I’m not sure the fans were clambering to have him removed from the team. The guy is young and was likely not going to be a first team regular once Haidara and Santon returned.

    TJ says:

I can do Debuchy to Chambers, Silva to Di Maria and Balotelli to Aguero. 0.1 spare. Incredibly tempting. Might play wildcard after the champions league games.

      NIN says:

At what cost? 4 or 8?

      • TJ says:

It would be a -8. But if I played wildcard I would make at least 3 other changes. I have 2 players that don’t play.

        • webstar87 says:

To be fair your starting 11 should all get 70+ mins, I’d try avoiding the hits.

        • NIN says:

Yeah i can see the temptation what with the injuries and such. If you’re playing your wildcard then it might be best to activate it tonight to catch as many price rises (if there is such a thing anymore!) as you can. Di Maria will be more expensive come Tuesday, or definitely by Wednesday.

        • TJ says:

Yeah I might just go all out. I saved my wildcard until after the january wildcard last season and it didn’t really give me much of an advantange.

      webstar87 says:

Debuchy > Chambers as a one-week only thing, makes sense. I wouldn’t want to -4 just before a wild card, though?

      Raziel says:

Yeah, would suck for you to do this now and midweek suddenly Kun limping off with another injury. 😉

Kun is actually still not on my radar. He looked pissed while coming of yesterday, they have a midweek game plus they have a game versus Chelsea… that’s … a whole lot to deal with for an injury prone player like him.
