The deadline bell has rung…did you play your wildcard or have you decided to hold onto it a little longer? Some will be happy with their decision while others will castigate themselves! The first game-week after an international break always makes for fun and games as we have to deal with those ‘international injuries’. Costa is injured, or is he?! Ramsey is injured, or is he?! The game-week kicks off with Arsenal hosting City at lunchtime today and we wrap things up on Monday night with an equally glamourous tie as Hull ‘entertain’ West Ham. Oh and in between there’s the small matter of United potentially rolling out another three debutants.

Cheers Xabi, got v lucky with ADM bearing in mind his goal was a cross and his assist was a shot!! Still, they all count and aside from his fortuitous points, he was quality and hopefully just gets better as he adapts. Like also that LVG said he gave the ball away too much instead of raving about him. Good high standards!

Jimbo, morning. He may be claiming it was intentional – but that was defo a cross. What he did was aim it just inside the far post, giving it a chance in case no-one got a touch. Which is what happened. But no way was he shooting!

On the first goal it’s from a free kick why the assist point not awarded from the player who was tackled?
I’m not sure may be Herrera or someone else but there are 3 assist point instead of 4
I actually think Herrera got the assist and the 3 points? An assist get you 3 points and not 4 if that is your question?

I meant assist should be awarded to 4 as follows:
Herrera (2) (1 is fouled by QPR then ADM’s freekick and 1 is Rooney’s Goal)

Ivanovic and Terry will probably be pretty close all season but for now I would definitely keep Ivanovic. ADM does seem a great upgrade on Silva though – No other moves you can make to fund this?

morning all, another decent weekend. Uinted looked good yday, rather worrying in real life but good for fantasy points. Hopefully all players come through uninjured during the week then will be able to hold my transfer to try and work in Di Maria for Mata. He really is a special player. Award for stupidest team goes to Real Madrid so far

Still early days but Ancelotti cannot be happy either. He lost 2 of his most important pieces in his team. And I thought Atletico would be gone and dusted but their derby victory tells me that this is still a 3 horse race. Please Simeone, come to the PL soon!!
migs – I couldn’t agree more mate. Why Madrid sold us Di Maria i’ll never know. They got a great deal out of us but it’s a really bad move for their team. It reminds me of years ago when they sold Makelele to the Chelski. The team fell apart pretty rapidly and although Di Maria isn’t the same type of player, he was just as important to them. Perez is a total muppet but if there’s any more he’d like to ship out, kindly send them to Old Trafford, please 😉

Have to ship out Debuchy and not totally sold on Balo but I’m giving him another week or two.
Thinking to use my FT with Debuchy to Lovren or Taylor risking another week without Sterling and Fab, hoping Hazard will finally do the business as he’s been playing quite well.
I’m trying to hold on the WC until at least the next international break in three weeks.
Morning Alberto – Hmm, i’d be tempted by a hit here, losing Debuchy and Hazard for Baines and Cesc. If you’d rather just do one transfer then i’d bring in Baines for Debuchy.
Morning NIN, thanks. Hazard to Cesc sounds a bit sideways move and I really expect Haz to bring some points in the near future, he was immense against Swansea and still only 2 points from him.
I can bring in Baines this week, in fact he is in my WC draft for gw 8, the problem is he has a good fixture this week followed by two very difficult ones with Liv and Utd away.
I’ve got Baines myself, but am not worried about those games. United just won their first game of the season and the Pool lost at home to Villa! That’s not to say that Everton will or should beat them both, but they’re playing quite well.
I agree, Hazard out for Fabregas is a sideways move, but eh, Fabregas is on fire, and is cheaper. If not this week, then i’d look to bring him in soon.
Hello NIN/Albert, I agree with NIN, Fab and Costa look bloody good together. I think Hazard will score a 20pointer week soon but fab has; 11,6,4,10 i’ll take that quite happily over the odd big scoring week followed by; 2,2,2 and pocket some cash as well 😉 How did Baines play? he looked a bit of the pace in the first few weeks (as did most of the Everton defence to be fair)
Baines was good from what i seen. He was close to another assist on a couple of occasions.

Evening all, hows things? Everyone had a good GW I trust? Man U looked excellent (albeit against a poor QPR team). I wasn’t sure on Rooneys level of involvement but he still got a goal and assist. Will be interesting to see what happens when Falcao starts.

Rooney was good y’day and I don’t see his place under threat from Falcao…more so RvP or maybe Mata, though in fairness Mata was better y’day.
Hello Cooks, did you score well pal? I agree about Mata (and most of the United forward line) they had that buzz about them again, very impressive. RvP looked a little of the pace for sure but that man is a beast, he will come good. Talking of good; AdM, bloody hell, he looked out of the park good!!!!! The pass with the outside of the foot to RvP that he volleyed at the keeper………..behave!
yeah, what a pass that was – shame RVP didn’t finish it like he normally does with those chances. Defo turned a corner, but harder battles lie ahead, but the signs are good.

Cooks/NIN/other Man U observers: if Rooney drops in behind falcao and rvp, do you think it will affect him negatively from an fpl point of view or can he still score well from that position?
Potentially NZ yeah, but I think over the course of the season he’ll do you proud and is great value at 10.4mln.
I would think he is more likely to play the MAJORITY of games similar to yesterday before Falcao came on – it was fairly obvious that they were more fluid and creative with the one striker and three off him rather than RVP & Falcao together.

NZ – I think it’ll upset the flow of the team so yeah, i would expect his production to drop a bit. Both van Persie and Falcao should really be deployed as a lone striker with heaps of support but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. I hope i’m wrong, but those as a front three might not work.

I think it’ll be a couple of weeks before we see Falcao start every game. It’s a mouth watering option to have. We shall see how he does in a formation that doesn’t suit him. Hopefully really, really well

Yeah the place went wild when he stood out to warm up. I wont lie, i still cant believe we have such a player, if only for one season. It pains me to say it, but i think van Persie needs to make way for us to get the absolute best out of Falcao.
Yeah i played my WC in gwk 3, it turned out to be a complete disaster over the last couple of weeks, but, whatever, i like my team now and it’ll do well soon
Falling for the Costa waffle was very frustrating. Took him out, scored a brace. Got yellow flagged again so i brought in Balotelli, who blanks, Costa hat-trick. Oh dear
