Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 5 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15
The deadline bell has rung and your decisions are now final! This could actually be a tough week for fantasy managers. A lot of the usual, ‘obvious’ candidates are away from home and even those that aren’t have difficult games on paper. Arsenal, Liverpool, Southampton, Man Utd and Chelsea are all on the road while Swansea and Man City are at home but are by no means guaranteed anything, facing Southampton and Chelsea respectively. QPR and Stoke kick us off at 12.45pm in the early Saturday game and even that ones hard to call given the inconsistencies of both. We then have five 3pm kick offs and the day is rounded off as West ham host Liverpool in the evening game at 5.30pm. Sunday sees Leicester vs Man Utd and Spurs vs West Brom, both at 1.30pm followed by two 4pm games as Everton host Palace and the big one of the weekend that sees Man City square up to Chelsea.
Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.
Good luck for GW5 from all at FF247!

Green; Isla, Traore, Caulker, Ferdinand; Barton, Mutch, Fer, Kranjcar; Vargas, Austin.
Cheers TJ
thanks TJ! Hoping for a 0-0, both Ferdinand and Shawcross in my team!
+1 But with Green and Pieters
Oi, glad Pieters is a starter. What happened with Huth by the way? Is he injured? Is it just me or does Huth > Wilson?
Tnx by the way, TJ. Great job.
Hmmm, forgot to make changes to my team. I think Rooney is my captain, haha. AAh well. 😉
Hoping to bounce back from a disaster week last time out.
Begovic
Clyne, Coloccini, Caulker
Fabregas, Sigs, Di Maria (c) Ramsey
Costa, Falcao, Naismith
What do we reckon?
53 points…Team looks good for the week and could easily do better than that, just Falcaos gametime that could be a problem.
Yeh I brought him in last week as a punt which obviously didn’t pay off but hoping for better this week!
Best of luck to everyone this GW
I start off with Wilson today.
Good luck everyone. Hopefully a heap of green arrows for all
Hmmmm, think I might double up on Leicester after this GW and get Moore (already have Albrighton, whom didn’t even start last GW btw, which sucks). They have great fixtures though. Depending on how Falcao plays tomorrow I’m gonna use my 2 FT’s on replacing Chambers with Moore and Rooney with Falcao. After GW7 I’ll try to replace Terry with Baines.
As it stands now my team is ok, so no use in wildcarding after GW7. With a little bit of luck I can actually keep my WC and wait till DGW’s. Building teamvalue isn’t as important as it was last season. My team is at 100.5m SV which is very good I think, considering I lost money on Terry, Albrighton and Rooney.
I can say in all honesty I prefer this new pricechanges system over last years.
I absolutely hate it! In our doubles team a couple of transfers that we wanted to do at the beginning of the week were not possible last night due to them costing 0.4 more, and there is no reliable way of finding out when the changes happen. This new system doesn’t stop price changes happening but just stops us knowing when – that’s a terrible situation.
The not knowing makes it fun Calvin. 😉
Sorry Calv, mate. I’m with Raz on this. It’s like a return to the days pre-FISO of a few years ago. I love the fact everyone’s in the dark about price rises, it’s how the game was designed and it adds a further gambling element to proceedings, and the price rises are quite slow this year, so it’s more lenient in that respect.
Bryan and Raz, sittin’ in a tree..
You know, cos monkeys.
Monkey see. Monkey Do.
Lol @ Crouch running, hahahaha!
0-1 Stoke City. QPR CS killed.
Diouf goal and Crouch assist (I think).
Feel bad now, think I talked Veer into playing Ferdy :-/
I never talk people into playing certain players over others anymore. Just tell them what I would do if I were them and they have to decide for themselves if it works for them or not. 😉
In the end the manager makes the decision.
Quite amazing Stoke scored with Crouch as a starter, lol.
They’re really terrible, in all honesty.
